Spruge didn't specifically mention that the 50C records not only the audio from the attached mic but all connected comms as well. Also, the camera and comm can be used while charging so if your battery gets low just plug it in to a power source on the bike and keep riding!
This is huge! I actually talked to a Cardo engineer about adding the ability to record audio from the coms as well as the user, and he was like "wow that's a great idea". I've been a cardo guy since buying my first Packtalk a few years back but this Sena is very interesting! Cardo has some catching up to do.
@@epicmotorcyclechannel307 we’ve been recording audio from regular sena Bluetooth com units onto action cams for years. What’s great about this mesh system in the audio quality. Action cams are a little clunky but the stabilization is still way better than the all in one units.
@@GIZZMOTORSPORTS Thanks for the info! I've seen some crazy setups that vloggers have, some with 3 mics. I can see the advantage of wanting to use your own action cam.

Yeah this looked like it would have been a good idea but the camera on a 10c was not good at all and he mentiones the camera didn't really get upgraded? That's a bummer as i would to downsize on the stuff plugged into my helmet
How is this a review? You went over the specs, showed zero footage and audio from the camera. People that are going to buy these are motovloggers, and we want to see some footage. Unless there is a major upgrade on the video quality I’ll,stick with my 10c pro, since I mainly use it for audio recording with multiple riders. the footage is poor compared to even my GoPro 7. But the audio is fantastic.
Look forward to seeing some actual use not a verbal spreadsheet.
I believe alot of other riders aren't specifically bloggers, but use the camera for insurance purposes instead, which is what I think the target customer is aimed for.
@@eduardomontes2749 definitely agree I think Moto vloggers should definitely use a dedicated go pro. Just convenient to have camera and intercom in one for insurance
Agree 100%. I bet the camera is on par with something really cheap on Amazon. A good action camera alone is $500. I would not buy the camera version.
Seems like a quality camera review would have some footage in the video. The fact that there is no footage in the review makes me think the camera quality is not good. I would be willing to bet it’s nowhere near GoPro, DJI, or Insta360.

Been running the 30K for a few years now. Pretty decent. Might try a Cardo next. Not down with the video as a UA-camr, quality just isn’t there.
I've been running the 30K for 2 years now. 2 cross-USA trips and back through torrential rains, a few 14 hour days, 120 degree F heat....the 30K keeps on working.
I tried the Cardo Packtalk Bold recently and didn't like it. Sold it and went back to my 30K.
It looks like the Harley version was released first. I picked mine up Tuesday from my local dealer. One thing also not mentioned.. the speakers are thicker..
Harley Davidson uses Rockford Fosgate Speakers and microphone not Harmon Kardon

Can you just show us settings of 50c? I bought 50c sena from revzilla,I wrote my problems still i have the same problems. Can you make a video how we setup 50c. How come we can connect to sena srl2,how people Can hear what I say on phone call or intercom.
the 50c is actually literally two devices rolled into one. And from the App perspective, one does not have anything to do with the other. There are two disjoined apps, 1 for the Camera (very laggy) and 1 for the Bluetooth comms & music. The problem with this product is the camera app. I recorded a video more than 20 mins and I copied it to my phone via Wifi. The file transfer was interrupted because the Camera thought that the copy was too long and decided to "sleep". I think the Camera & app integration is not yet mature. I don't know what to do if Im gonna keep or return it. I did a full charge and then let the video record (1080p/60fps) until the battery went to 0%. The battery lasted for 4 hours + 10 mins. I paid $450 brand new in Amazon.
4 hours on 1080p 60fps aint bad.
When will they update the SRL and 2 for neotech helmets?
i have a 10c evo. my only gripes with it are no mech, low battery life when recording, and id still prefer a chin mounted camera. If someone came out with a chin mounted camera/comms itd be instabuy for me (kinda like the where most mount their go pros). just not as nice of a view of the bike/scenary when youre way off to the side like that.

How is it compared to 50s and 50 R in terms of other features
The same, but with the added camera feature. The only thing that takes a hit compared to the 50S/R is the battery life if you are using said camera.

I am seeing this video in 2023 probably 14 months after the video was made and am wondering if there is anything newer and better cause I need one soon before riding season starts in my area.

Correct. Harmon is the higher-end line, though in this case it's more likely that they couldn't sell "JBL" to both, and they're likely the same speakers.
Infinity and JBL are both under Harmon Kardon. Both are great products!

Is there any improvement with the stabilization? I have the 10c pro and the video sucks, its too shaky, I know sena include video stabilization to the 50c as a new feature but how good is it? Does it par with the hyper smooth stab of gopro or flowstate stab of insta360?
Stabilization is about the same as some of the older models from what we've seen, and still a good ways behind GoPro. Important thing to remember is that Sena is adding a camera to one of their products for some added value. GoPro is only known for their cameras. So you shouldn't expect a company like Sena to be on par with cameras like a GoPro. The main benefit here is the camera for $ value, and having everything built into one device instead of multiple on your helmet.
@@RevZilla that's just a cop-out. DJI does best in class action cam, wireless microphone, drones. Every product and feature is top-notch. None of the poor excuses that camera tech is 5 years behind in $550 product because they are known for making intercoms.

thats a huge jump might stick to the 10C Pro or upgrade to the Evo
The jump here in the US is only $100 USD from the 10C EVO to the 50C. Unsure if that is a price requirement across all Australia or not, but seems a bit high to us.

Is that mount the same as the one for the 10C? It looks the same I think. For those who have a 10C and then purchased extra mounts for their other helmets it was be nice if the mount for this one was the same. Thanks.
It is the same amount as for all three other 10c series cameras.

We will be reviewing the Edge soon but wouldn't compare it to this Camera/Comm hybrid, we will chat about comparing it to the regular 50S and 50R HK versions.
Check the real world reviews. It may change your mind. After viewing an honest review I passed. 4K recording only with image stabilization turned off. Low light video in 1080P is grainy in shadowy areas. There's more issues that he does not mention. For the price there shouldn't be so many issues. Please watch some real world reviews before you purchase this. Not a salesman review.
I just bought sena 50c. Bluetooth is working but not connecting to wifi. I can not connect camera to my phone. It is an expencive device but difficult to set up. Still is not connecting wifi

The 50C is detachable? Looks like it has wires attached to it & helmet.
It is a bit more of a hassle to remove than say the 50R or 50S - but you can remove it relatively easy.
Watch this video review of a camera without any test footage. Guess it's more important to see the box and some UA-camr
The device does not have a latch it doesn’t latch to the base it can easily come off it’s happened to me a couple of times luckily I had the clasp securely latched to the device. That really sucks that Sena let that happen.

Sena support accepted my 50c is broken. They says i can return it. But my wife cousin bought it from you and brought in Norway. I installed tried to using it. So how will i replace it or how will i have my money back? Can you help me
You would need to return the item to the US or to Sena directly. We can help with the return (through your wife's cousin's account, and contact with them), but you would be responsible for returning the unit to the country it was purchased in. Sena may have a local rep/sales team that can help, but we wouldn't be aware of any being a US retailer. Feel free to contact our Customer Service teams if you need any further explanations or help.
@@RevZilla we have spoke directly to customer support from Sena we have completed a return form they also said that it didn't matter which country i lived in .They will process on RMA so i wasn't to worry they said ! Thnx for ur answers and i will keep u uldated about what is happening

Personally, I'd just grab the 10R. Super low profile, just fine music, BT for 3 other people if you ever change your mind and want to chat to someone. Plus, the slimmest profile in the game.

@@user-mh4pd1xj9u Worked for me for years before switching to Cardo. For most people the sound will be allright, you can always pay a bunch more for better speakers on things like the 50 but then you get all the features it sounds like you won't use. You can get the Spider RT1 unit from Sena that comes w/ the HD speakers (not Harmon Kardon, but HD) if you want. After using 10+ units over the past 5 years, audio is all pretty relative and if you really go head to head you can tell the differences, but if sound quality is reallllly the #1 trait, nothign will sound awesome on the highway outside of a car w/ the windows up and a custom sound system ha. hope that helps,

The manager at the place I got mine told me to sell my defective unit to someone on Craigslist!

It don't matter how far the device stands out because the Mic is inside the Helmet. The small Mic on the device is for wind and noise cancellation. It has to hear noise to cancel it.

No, the HK speakers are for the Sena 50 units only at the moment. That may change in the future but unlikely.
10c broke down after update.. their software support is shit
Man, this is an absolute garbage. I got one and after 4 hours of fucking with the setup / firmware upgrade I threw it into garbage. Can't use it because firmware too old. Cant update the firmware because the app shuts down and the WiFi connector will not connect. 4 hours wasted.
i bought sena 50c too. Voice commands are not working with the 50c but working with bixby and google voice assistant. I cant talk to people who calls me and when i call people. I record videos but my voice is not recordindg. 50c is very complicated and usless ! idiot production of sena.difficult to use and set up. I regret buying and paying 500 dollar for 50c. i learnt my lesson intercom and camera 2 in 1 useless. buy camera seperate intercom seperate.not sena 50c
