Fantastic work. It has been a number of years since my last Gundam kit. But decided to get back into it. Just picked up a MG Sword Impulse Gundam from the SeeD series. I have a Perfect Grade Evangelion unit 01 that i've had for 6 years always been hesitant to put it together, a much bigger kit.
When I bought my Sinanju on Amazon, shipping was 5.99 USD. Just depends on where you buy your kits. In the US, shipping shouldn't be too expensive depending on the kit. PG kits will always be around 10-20 because of the size of the box. HG's and MG's are around 5-10. Again, it just depends on where you're ordering the kits from. Hobbywave has a 11$ flat rate, meaning order as much as you want, and it'll still be 11$.
I'm so glad I found this review. I found it very helpful in knowing what I'm buying in 00 raiser and if it was going to be weak and loose like Exia and I'm glad to see it isn't and I'm very happy to find out that this is a fantastic kit
When I first saw promo shots of this kit built up; I seem to recall that it looked like there were some clear green effect parts that attached under the binders; they were to simulate GN particles from what I remember. I think that's why you have the option of five LED's. Mine didn't come with any. Kinda sucks, but if they do release them, it will probably be a bonus in a future issue of Hobby Japan or Dengeki Hobby Magazine.
heeey well i finished it a couple of weeks ago,, and i really had fun building it. Although im still finding some places to aligne sometimes. It looks really nice if i say so myself for my first build, but i dont really kn ow what to do with the stickers, but i doesnt really need that i think, looks great without. Next one im building is the 00- Quanta,, should be fun too. Your vids are great man! thanks for the reviews
hey for the decals you cold just get the water slide 1/100 water slides for the no grade and apply them to this master grade. i plan on doin my review on this guy as well. but i want to get everything first. i am also looking into the seven swords i know bandi might put one out as a whole kit and might not give us just the weapons. so i am going to attempt something hard i am sure it will work.
Thankfully, Bandai will start selling LED sets (in pairs) on the general market this month. And at 1155 Yen a pair, it's cheaper than the 700 Yen PER PIECE + shipping that you'd normally have to shell out if you'd ordered it - and you'd have to add considerably more to that price if you special-ordered it via a service like what Gundam Store & More offers.
Well my project MG 00 Raiser has been finished. I bought the 4 LED's and batteries required. Also a action base. I found one issue about why they included the bracket hands.. but I see why when i tried to connect the hand to the GN Sword III. The Bad nub part hardly ran into that.. Probably because of how close I cut the pieces out. Did not use the decals they suck. The only not so stiff parts were the ankles and that did cause the problem with balance with me. Any advice Jabman?
Jabman, I just recently bought a 00 Raiser kit,and seeing this video makes me want to put it together...now! But I have questions before I start. What do you use to outline the Gundam? And,just to be safe, you do the outlining BEFORE you put the model together, right? Lastly, did you use a particular item to pull the pieces from the plastic it comes in? I hate leaving remnants of the plastic on parts.
Which Exia is it that we should get prior to this one? i really like the basic design of the Exia and all of the 00 Gundam but i am not sure which to get. what do you suggest??
Louis Grayson The Exia that comes with LEDs is the Master Grade "Ignition Mode" variant. It is the standard Exia model with chrome finish weapons and also comes with optional parts for Exia Repair Mode.
Hey Jabman was wondering if you knew, (since I really don't) if the new 00 raiser seven sword master grade will have the 00 raiser parts included with the seven sword parts. I'm in a bit of a crossroads here, after seeing your review I'm really into this kit, but if the seven sword is this and more then i may just wait, but i'm not sure
@onelasttitan Hlj ( Hobby Link Japan ). They have a system of selling kits below the retail price. And MG 00 raiser have a permanent 20% of discount :D
@jabman025 DAAAmn so close!!! The prices on the site are those the exact price I would be paying or is there like $20.00 or $30.00 bucks extra for shipping???
Jabman , a question. I really like both kits but which one would you prefer I recently just 100% built my Nu Ver ka decals , matte coated and everything which one would you think go along with it 00 raiser or Turn A ? I want a good enjoyable kit to build !
I like the panel lining in front of the 0 Raiser, and I just have to say I think the bigger the weapons the cooler this Master Grade looks especially when you add those beam effect parts
Currently doing a "custom" decal on my 7 Swords with some stickers from my Epyon EW, and Water Slides from Nu Ver ka. I put a nice "Celestial Being" decal on the clear green part on both legs but they're blocked by the GN Katar lol. Same goes for 00 raiser, the Decals are pretty bad and really small i'd say.
Im kinda new to making gundam models but i do have some expercience with other kinds of models but does anyone have some tips for what the best way is to do the detail work?
and Rrobbert said he'd be first... HORRAY! you get 3+1+thumb hands! this scared me a bit with the teaser pics... this kit looks amazing! I'm definately buying one! This year is looking AMAZING with MG Gunpla...This, Epyon, Delta Plus (Which I plan on geting mine Gold Plated) Do you think a Seven Swords G Pack will be released ever?
Just got this guy & I'm lovin' it! I agree that the decals are way too bland - sadly the waterslide decals for the 1/100 Designer's Color Ver. don't fit the MG, so we'll have to wait and see if Bandai uses those designs on the upcoming decal set. Many of the joints here use ABS plastic instead of polycaps, so that may contribute to the stability. I also like how the parts for the 00 Gundam & 0 Raiser are segregated. It makes me optimistic for a Seven Sword variant in the future!
Im gonna try to combine Dynames and Virtue together to make the god of all heavy weapons, then the Exia and Kyrios. But quick question, are those kits all compatible with each other for part swaps?
I like the 00 Gundam, but I already have the designer color and the seven sword G, I'm really not sure I wanna fork over more money for this. I already skipped out on the Qan[T] because of the lack of action it got in the movie.
Personally i like the 00 Raiser way more than the Qant. 00 just seems to be the better looking of the two and feels alot more like a gundam than a alien robot. Also seems to me the 00 would be after Qant because when you put all three next to each other just makes more since they went from exia to Qant than finally 00.
That's because of the center condenser in the chest. Imo the 00 looks like an unfinished version of the successor of the exia the Qan[T]. Which it kinda is I guess. The whole head unit though, with that big awesome red gem gives a "top dog" feeling that the Qan[T] just doesn't have.
NigelSSJ1 It's probably the colors that alienate the Qan[T]. The green gn condenser in its forehead and the plain white v fins play an important role to that as well.
great review, i should be getting mine from hong kong with the 4 xtra leds, btw i only payed about $10 more the the retail price and it had free shipping off of ebay, u gotta respect the bay
Hey this question is for anyone who can answer...I just bought the water slide decals for this kit and I was under the impression that it would come with a guide or some instruction of where to put each decal. When you buy the waterslides are you just supposed to put them wherever you think it works or is there a guide out there that I'm not seeing?
it depends on what version of the water slides you have, I'm guessing you have the designer color's version, it which case it follows that manuals decal layout.
@jabman025 Okee thanks man,, ill go get that then. i will practice then before i use it on this. I bought this one as well and im pretty curious how it is going to turn out. im glad you dont have to paint it because i am not the best artist although it would be fun to try that one time. PS good video man
Hi I have a question. Ive been watching gundam when it was on toonami and still watches gundam to this day. For Christmas I'm deciding on what gundam kits I want to get. I want something simple but not so simple that its boring. Do u know any gundam kits that would be good for a beginner since these would be the 3rd and 4th kits I've gotten? My first two are strike rouge from gundam seed and amazing exia from gundam build try fighters. New sub btw
hi jabman ! just a question I hope you could take a minute to answer this. remember the dragon hangs from 1/100 nataku? is it possible to get those on the new shenlong mg? thank you
It was quite hard for me to understand, so can I ask you some questions? I want to buy the 00 Raiser 1/100, but how many LEDs are in the box? None or every three or just one? I've found one GN-Drive on Amazon for about 40€, that's quite expensive and nearly as much as the Gundam.
Im new to this. I just ordered an MG Strike Freedom after my friend built his 00 Qan[T]. I know it takes a bit of time to build one, but I was just wondering how difficult it is to build?
Your reviews are all awesome and really helpful! I'm thinking of getting Nu Gundam ver Ka as my next one. Is the titanium finish worth the extra money or is the regular master grade just as good looking?
Jeff Margera I am definitely finding that out. The finish looks really cool but I can't customize it or line it the way I want for fear of ruining that same finish. and those damn nubs are really annoying lol
2492erb That's why I'm not gonna get a special finish kit for a long time. Until I master nub cleaning at least. But painting is always going to look good with the right colors
2492erb That's why I'm not gonna get a special finish kit for a long time. Until I master nub cleaning at least. But painting is always going to look good with the right colors
Yeah I agree. That is why I loved building the 00 Raiser and the Sinanju. They were fun to build, I could customize them, and they look as good if not better
+Yuki Wang I'm pretty sure that they're the same as the Exia Ignition Mode's LEDs, and if that's the case, they're super bright LED lights when you have them outside of the kit, but in there it's more of a warm glow for the kit than a shining light. Some kits have pieces that are solid, but will have grooves in them to show a separation in the armor panels, etc. They are not colored, therefore it's up to you to color them (usually in black) using a panel lining marker or a tiny paint brush. So when he says "not a lot of lining" he is saying you won't have to do a lot of that to that particular section of the kit.
Tim Nguyen I currently don't build gunpla due to money restraints, but do an internet search for "gunpla panel lining marker" and you'll find several locations to buy one as well as into on what they are specifically used for in the building process.

"You can balance the full armor unicorn gundam MG on its head and its still standing"
Really enjoy the content I watch your reviews before I build. Thanks
Fantastic work. It has been a number of years since my last Gundam kit. But decided to get back into it. Just picked up a MG Sword Impulse Gundam from the SeeD series. I have a Perfect Grade Evangelion unit 01 that i've had for 6 years always been hesitant to put it together, a much bigger kit.
this makes me gonna buy this set of 00 Raizer XD
just got mine in the mail yesterday...can't believe you already have yours together. way to go and keep up the great reviews!
Great review i was gonna get unicorn mg but this thing won me over by the fact it has more pose ability as well as better accessories

love your reviews, always focus on the balancing which is one of the big issues of these kits

i had the same problem as you jabman! it was very difficult to line the right side of the gn sword 3, the ink just wouldn't stay :/

Do you think a Seven Swords G Pack will be released ever?
You have to put the parts together. It's pretty easy though and you don't need to use glue.
Just got this guy & I'm lovin' it! I have been trying to find one but have had little to no luck..
I think they meant to use the bracket hands for the GN Sword 3
Jabman,
I am wondering. Do I just need to pick up the Exia Ignition mode to have enough LED's for this kit?
Im gonna try to combine Dynames and Virtue together to make the god of all heavy weapons, then the Exia and Kyrios. But quick question, are those kits all compatible with each other for part swaps?
um kyrios and exia is no because kyrios is meant transform so the parts probally want just swap you might have to cut pieces to fit
Damn! Im impressed the effect part added doesnt cause the arm to fall. Really diggn the look of the 00 Raiser. Maybe I should get back into Gundm. ;)
I like the 00 Gundam, but I already have the designer color and the seven sword G, I'm really not sure I wanna fork over more money for this.

Can you show them in the dark with led's on at the end? And maybe put the gundam on a spin table? That would be awesome! Thanks.
Still choosing between this or the Exia Mg Ignition one. Anyone?
@AsianDelinquent right? considering this is a 90 buck kit too !
im happy to see how similar it is to the OOQ because that kit was amazing!
nice review, jabman^^
hi jabman025 im deciding on my next master grade kit and which one do you think is better?
MG exia (not ignition mode)
or
MG 00 raiser?
@AsianDelinquent How are they being cheap if they give two sets of hands instead of only one?
Hey jabman025
I wonder could the Epyon beat the 00 as the kit of the year?
dude can you review Gundam Quanta with the attachment GN sword IV and more of those 00 MG Gundam...
Hey this question is for anyone who can answer...I just bought the water slide decals for this kit and I was under the impression that it would come with a guide or some instruction of where to put each decal. Is there an I shop 2 go stationed somewhere in the states??? If so i may start getting my kits from there cuz u guys seem to be the cheapest!
Man... I'm a huge fan of the 00 Raiser! It's just awesome! Soon I'll be getting it!
Anyway. Great review, thanks!
the one i bought doesn't include the Big Sword... is there being sold somewhere?
@YuriBo26 what the...where did you get it for 65 :(
@jabman025 Okee thanks man,, ill go get that then. i will practice then before i use it on this. I bought this one as well and im pretty curious how it is going to turn out. im glad you dont have to paint it because i am not the best artist although it would be fun to try that one time.

Hey Jabman,
I would like to see your Astray Red Frame Kai review!
hi jabman ! just a question I hope you could take a minute to answer this. remember the dragon hangs from 1/100 nataku? is it possible to get those on the new shenlong mg? thank you
It's possible. I did it, bunt what you need to do, is drill some holes into the arms as the fangs have connector things that connect through the arms.
Thanks dude never thought of that! Anyway merry Christmas!!
Cowvineify Thanks dude never thought of that! Anyway merry Christmas!!
It was quite hard for me to understand, so can I ask you some questions? I want to buy the 00 Raiser 1/100, but how many LEDs are in the box? None or every three or just one? I've found one GN-Drive on Amazon for about 40€, that's quite expensive and nearly as much as the Gundam.
you only get one, you can buy them separately or you can use LEDs from other kits like I did
the pilot of exia is setsuna
Im new to this. I just ordered an MG Strike Freedom after my friend built his 00 Qan[T]. I know it takes a bit of time to build one, but I was just wondering how difficult it is to build?
It's not that difficult as long as you follow the manual, for a beginner it should take anywhere from 5-10 hours. Add time for detailing.
does it come with the stand? or do you have to buy it separately?
@jabman025 AAAHHH And thats for any kit MG, Pg, or other right??? (Just trying to make sure before i decide on Gundamstore and more or I shop to go!)
Just a word of advice, try nor to let this thing drop down headfirst. You may snap the yellow parts of the crest
Your reviews are all awesome and really helpful! I'm thinking of getting Nu Gundam ver Ka as my next one. Is the titanium finish worth the extra money or is the regular master grade just as good looking?
The normal actually looks better since nubs don't stand out nearly as much. But that's just me and my horrible nub cleaning lol
Jeff Margera I am definitely finding that out. The finish looks really cool but I can't customize it or line it the way I want for fear of ruining that same finish. and those damn nubs are really annoying lol
2492erb
That's why I'm not gonna get a special finish kit for a long time. Until I master nub cleaning at least. But painting is always going to look good with the right colors

Yeah I agree. That is why I loved building the 00 Raiser and the Sinanju. They were fun to build, I could customize them, and they look as good if not better
About time someone thought about balance. Nothing worse in my opinion when you build something and it can't stand up without supporting it
Just how bright are those LEDs? They looked really, really dim in this video.
+Yuki Wang I'm pretty sure that they're the same as the Exia Ignition Mode's LEDs, and if that's the case, they're super bright LED lights when you have them outside of the kit, but in there it's more of a warm glow for the kit than a shining light. That said, the Exia's chest lighting up can fuck with your eyes if you look straight at it.
which part is that one to connect the 2 gn sword II ?
r u going to get/do the seven sword version?
@jabman025 TY, my mind is set then, thanks
jabman, should i get this or mg exia ignition mode?
Long live the king, King Authur Crossroad !!!!!
hey man, I'm a big fan of how you review your master grade kits and I'm thinking of buying this exact kit right here but I was just wondering if you're planning to buy a Gundam 00 Seven Swords/G kit as well. I'm looking into buying that kit too but I wanna know what your take of the kit would be.
Anyways, you're great dude. keep it up. ^_^V
what was the name of the site you mentioned?
DAMN YOU JABMAN! I couldn't already contain myself for this kit, but now you made my wait til mine get here even worse!
Great review =)
i don't have enough space for both, which has better display options, this or 00 QAN[T]? Thanks!
personally prefer the raiser
The one who setsuna's pilot
Gavin Serdeña both of them are piloted by Setsuna
should I get the raiser or seven sword?
I've seen pictures of the 00 Raiser where one put on clear parts under the GN-Drives on the shoulder, so it looks like GN-particles are thrusting out of the shoulder"wings". Ah, here is a picture: www.1999.co.jp/itbig14/10140958b.jpg Is this a custom build or can you find it in the regular box?
Kuschelsack That's a custom job. I have the OO Raiser and it didn't come with those. I must admit that it does look awesome.
Great review jab, I can't wait to order one now. 5/5
do the 00 Qan T Full Saber MG Review master Jabman025.. much love from your fans in the Philippines!!!
You´ve got a pretty nice voice Jabman!
about how tall is this kit when put together?
Does the joints still holds up til now?
The two GN Drives look very similar to the GN Drive you use with the Exia Dark Matter.
jpkHouston I wonder if you could switch them.
Nice review of the 00 raiser
I'm new to these types of model kits. What does he mean by "lining"?
Some kits have pieces that are solid, but will have grooves in them to show a separation in the armor panels, etc. They are not colored, therefore it's up to you to color them (usually in black) using a panel lining marker or a tiny paint brush. So when he says "not a lot of lining" he is saying you won't have to do a lot of that to that particular section of the kit.
add shadow effect to the grooves thus make the gundam looks realistic for its real size
deathVIAavatar what lining marker do u use?
Tim Nguyen I currently don't build gunpla due to money restraints, but do an internet search for "gunpla panel lining marker" and you'll find several locations to buy one as well as into on what they are specifically used for in the building process.
How tall is 00 from head to toe (in.)?
There is this other kit from bandai called 00 xn raiser and id love to see ur review on it. 😼
does it have waist articulation?
very awesome review dude!!! ima buy one of these now XD
You should really do Nadle, if that's how you spell it. But it is from Mobil Suit Gundam 00.
hello,is the LED light i had to buy seperate??????????
yes
How many lights does it have?
how much
how do you turn the LED lights on and off?
you click on the drives
is it a LED light or is it just the plastic?
Why are the clear GN parts blue instead of green??
They are clear green, it's just the lighting setup Jabman uses iirc.
Great and thorough review! =D
Waiting for a 00 2.0 or at least MG Reborns Gundam.
