Matryoshka of the Forgotten Lake

I stumbled upon a Matryoshka on the Forgotten Lake in the forest. According to a legend, this matryoshka is the transformation of a princess who sacrificed herself to save her people. Princess Elara had been forced into a pact by her father, King Alaric, to save the kingdom from its dire situation. The dark spirits demanded that he turn her into a matryoshka in exchange for saving the kingdom. The king agreed to sacrifice his daughter.
Each layer symbolized Elara's losses: the first layer, her pure love; the second layer, her devotion to her people; the third layer, her unfinished story; and the last layer, the great heartbreak caused by her father's sacrifice.
A rumor says that Elara’s tears formed this lake. On some evenings, you can still hear her crying. The king saved his people, but he lost his daughter.
