I purchased for $699, I don't believe I could have done better at that price. This thing is very impressive.
Who would have thought Klipsch would make a sub this cheap this insanely good.
In Europe is €1300😢
Same here $699 ....insane. should have bought 2
Me too🤣🤣
@@jlmercado76 where?
For her 2023 Xmas, I bought my wife a $2700 sound system with a Denon theater amp and 9 Klipsch speakers including two12 inch subs for her little 12' X 12' privacy room. The bass is more than impressive with the subwoofers set at 35%. It makes the whole room shake, even at lower volumes. This system has a great well-balanced sound, and it can get louder than we will ever need it to get. My hats off to Klipsch for designing some great equipment. I have 5 theater surround systems in our house, and have no trouble with the wife.
Absolutely, the deepest and robust sub I have ever heard to complete the total basement, man cave👍👍
RP14000SW is a beast! I love this subwoofer, so much better than 2x SPL-120s that I was running previously. You will not be disappointed, unless your room setup REQUIRES DSP to fix some major bass boost issues. With all the sales recently... this is incredible value.
14000?!!??!!??
@@gregritferdjr I just noticed that! Lol, nice. Over 140000!
Gotta question I have the 15 and 12 older versions of these and in the middle of my room there’s a null lack of bass any ideas
I bought two 14s last week for $699 each. My first initial test wasn't good and I was disappointed. After placing my subs in a different spot and going through YAOP in my yamaha receiver I can say the 14s are bad ass
Damn I missed a sale by a week
Maybe I missed it in the video. Could you give some comparisons? Does the low end extension claim match up to your experience with it?
Your comment about the knobs...dead on.
Agreed on the knobs
Hey man ! Thanks for the review, very fun and useful !
I noticed you have Klipsch atmos speakers attached to your ceiling. How did you manage for them to hold into place horizontally just with the keyhole ? Could you link the mount you used please ? I have the same ones currently mounted vertically on the walls but I’d like to mount them horizontally to the ceiling, like you did, for better atmos placement. Thanks a lot !
Wow, didn't realize until you mentioned it that the HSU VTF 15 has ballooned all the way to $1400, it used to be $900 a few years ago.
I bought dual hsu vtf 15 mk2 when they were 900 years ago and they are still some of my favorite sounding subs I kept them even after I got dual rhythmic f18s but at 1400 they are creeping very close to the price of more capable subs
You had me when you showed it goes to 11 😃 Brilliant Klipsch !!!
Not if it only Last 5 months Geen led comes on but No sound I'm not the only one with problems there's other out there as we'll I can say that Crutchfield is going to make this right with me however at this point I am scared because I was not pushing the speaker Beyond its limitations and now that mine has went out and I see others have went out as well I'm wondering should I go another route😢😢😢😢😢
For the unsightly tabs on the front of the enclosure... buy a cheap variety pack of rubber automotive vacuum tube caps and DIY. All sorts of lengths and diameters. Find the ones that fit over the tabs securely, trim length as required. BOOM. Problem fixed. Want the cover back on? Just remove the caps.
Genius. Thx.
Another way to solve the mix between music and movies get a 15" sealed sub and build a nice cabinet for it :D Works well and you are proud on yourself for the nice work.
Reckon it's worth getting a large sub for the deep bass and a smaller one for faster bass?
Mines just arrived! This thing is insanely strong!
This is the subwoofer to buy if your setup needs more dakka.
They've all shot up in price now. $1300 for the 14", $1000 for the 12"
Make that $1400 for the 14"
They're on "sale" in Canada for $1850, regularly $2299
1850... I could build two fridge sized boxes with Dayton 18s that would destroy these for $1000.
Dang Bo, just look at ,It's HUGE!!!
Z, What are you doing this Christmas? We had flaming Xmas, COVID Xmas, this year...? Buying a pair of stand mounts in "24". Best, D. URtheBEST.
“I have seen things you people wouldn’t believe“
I wanna get a couple of their 1600's
Zeos, please consider reviewing the Martin Logan 35XTi. Some of the best speakers I have ever heard and they’re not even the newest model ML has to offer. The tweeter on these things are ethereal. Please consider it.
What are the speakers on the stands far to the left and right of his TV?
Klipsch THX 5000 LCR
A bit off topic, but I've heard that a fosi za3 is released. It's a balanced poweramp from Fosi. Are you getting one Zeos?
$1378 now. At $900 I was onboard and then I saw it has been $699 and now I will wait until they are clearing them out for the next gen.
You had me at "FUCK YOU THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS" 😂. liked and subscribed instantly.
Hey, I would love it if you could re-visit the SVS PB16 Ultra subwoofer again at your new property!
Not sure if i want PB 16 ultra or the klipsch RP1600SW.
Did you had got anything at the end?
@@laszlopapp8371 yeah got the RP1600SW its 57% cheaper than a PB 16 ultra and its basically a PB4000 but in some freq its a PB 16. Means i can get 2 RP1600Sw + mini dsp 2x4HD for 1 PB 16.
@@RathOX Great, hope you enjoy it 😁👍I do hesitate betwen a few subs 1600sw is on the top of my list.
@@laszlopapp8371 yeah i would have went JTR as they make the best but shipping & import to the UK is costly.
@@RathOX Does it satisfy you? Don't know what did you had before. You have a chance to stick an other one in the game in the future, still cheaper than a single pb16U 😅
would you ever consider a jtr 18inch
Makes me feel inadequate with my 10" sub but it's for music mostly. I do wander if I could get a bigger sub though one day and set it to only work at the really low range.
10" is perfect for music
@@m4nc1n1 Yea I like it, I'm just strugglig to tune it to where I like it. I think the biggest problem I have is that some music seems to need more boost to bass and others less bass. On my amp I've increased it just a tad which seems to work well enough at the volume I normally have my amp at. Fairly happy with the actual settings on the sub though, placement could be better but I go between 3 places in my room so it's difficult to get the placement right and work for all those 3 places perfectly. Unless I buy 3 subs anyway :)
If you want to diy this it's almost impossible to beat tbh. For that money you can get a good 18 or 21" sub and wood but no amp with dsp
Does anyone know if these subwoofers are magnetically shielded with a link that says so or video proof of holding it next to an old CRT TV.
I highly doubt they are shielded.
Excellent video. I'm surprised you haven't done mad science hour with atmos channel placement yet.... There's currently muy debate on where they really sound best. Auro-3D setup is my favorite placement for atmos/dts/auro.
+20 points for the knobs
they are perfect.
when will you upgrade your TV?
OMG Brother, thank you so much for this review. Lost count how many time I laugh really hard with all precious comments, Fucking Blue Led Lights, Muscle Car and SVS analogy. Amazing review, lovely Sub (with the right price), genious and spontaneous fun! =) Any experience with Definitive Tech SUBS? DN12? DN15? Thanks Bro!
4:44 just noticed the Arabic Megalo Box poster, very interesting, would like to hear the story behind where that came from
Smaller subs are not faster. They just move less air. Low bass is slow and goes very far. Bigger subs offer ACCURATE bass🎉
Damn - not available at the reasonable price. So, a question- this at $1400 or the Hsu at $1300? If memory serves, you were pretty impressed by that Hsu monster.
Use - theater lfe, size not a concern. I'm leaning Hsu, but every other speaker in the theater is a Klipsch...
I mean I link the HSU in the description... I know what I would do.
@@ZReviews - lol. Yeah, that's how I found it easily. 😀 So, Hsu for lfe... I'm down. 😁
These have been going on deep discount on and off. I wouldnt pay 1400 for this, but at the price point i paid $699 I am very happy.
How does the Rp-1400sw compare to the svs pb-2000 pro? Is it worth getting the klipsch if I already have the svs? The klipsch is on sale for $700 and it's hard to resist haha
I'm in the exact same boat as you. Did you end up getting it? If so, how does it compare to the SVS?
From now on I expect the Pizza man in every video 🍕
Just got the 16s
You keep that gain cranked to 11?! Holy cow. I’ve never gone past 7.5 on my beautiful knob.
Because I'm using another preamp
@@ZReviewsah that’s right you mentioned that. I failed to realize what effect that would have on its output. Thanks. I like your review style.
Can we all agree that Edge of Tommorow and the Player One bass demo are the go to demos for testing subs? Please. Either that, or you just stick to one methology and keep producing the same for us to "compare" in the video.
I use a 15 inch rewired Scar car sub in my ht
bro started us off with a full tv screen loli
edit: I underestimated how big of a weeb this man is, I'm scared of someone who has like big panel art of like anime girls and upskirts, and basically hentai, like damn
should of got the emotiva xs 15💪
Klipsch has a reputation for having amps go bad in their subs. I have a 15 and amp went out after a year and Klipsch sent me a new amp. They do stand behind their product. Now I use it in the bedroom and bought 2 SVS 16 inch subs for my main stereo, which is next level bass
You can thank the band “Spinal Tap “ for the volume knob 11. I think the engineers at Klipsh are Spinal Tap fans ! 15:33
ua-cam.com/video/4xgx4k83zzc/v-deo.htmlsi=jqplAfqy5FFmz2cq
If you're balancing aesthetics, power and sound quality I think these are the series to beat now, value still goes to something like HSU or tonewinner.
Nice review mate, how is 1600SW pair with Q Acoustic 3050i (+wiimp amp)? Or 1000SW is enough? My room is 25m²
#BringBackTheKC62’s!!!
4 of these
Review the baby rel subwoofer
Nah, do the big mutha RELS.
watch the movie dune 2 in 2:17 the front of the rp1600sw speaker flew 50 cm forward
ONE of them is gunna not like that this arrives lmfao I'm dead. I also just ordered one and I'm scared..
I seen hobo with a shotgun like 15yrs plus ago.. that movie id dope and underrated. I definitely didn't watch it with surround sound..
I can't go back to an analog sub. Elac was first and then SVS (Dual PB1000 Pro's) showed me the light on DSP Subs that have an app. I can't go back, I won't! lol
Untill app support stops, rendering it useless.
I actually have a little $50 OSD sub control add-on that basically intersects the signal and let you do all the DSP adjustment from the couch. I just haven't integrated it into a review yet and I'm dumb because it would sell like hotcakes
Adorama through slick deals has it for half off right now
Bass-icly
just get something like a UMIK-1 its cheap and you get some real data, no need to crawl around like a toddler :D and when it comes to subwoofers you want as much cone area as possible.
Why are there no rsl sub reviews, no rel sub reviews, or any other rythmik reviews? No 2.2?
Hey would you review a rare ifi product ifi shipped it to you?
Depends on how rare and how many people want to know about it.
Yamaha subs have side ports!
FOR THE LOW LOW YAMAHA YST SW315 HIT CLEAN & FAST
"Are there titties in this movie?" is why I love Zeos. Da goat.
No zeos, i already have three subwoofers, i don’t need another one😢
Reminded me of that gag from Spinal Tap "These go to Eleven."
Any sub that I can use at home and transport to a party?
Maybe the JBL party box family of mobile speakers?
I've taken the SVS 3000 micro to a hotel room. Or you can bring along the kali 6.2
I use a ue hyperboom for party and it's pretty damn loud 👍
Ever heard a JL? Gothams?
As of 12/20/23, the RP-1600SW 16" is $1799 on Amazon. Would you buy the 16" Klipsch or the HSU 15"? Based on what I've seen, I'd take the HSU. No balanced inputs? Really?
It was $1200 in November. Absolutely insane value.
I seen open box for almost 1k
Adorama was selling these for 649.
been a while since you've talked Bluetooth transmitters/receivers can you do a short recommendation video?
Fiio still makes some really good ones.
Where are the fluids?
Yeah at $1399 Klipsch just can't compete with Hsu and SVS. This is only worth it ON SALE. For 1400 you could get a couple smaller subs by the big two that would do the job. Klipsch and most big box speaker boys have never been competitive in the sub market. I know because my old subs were all bought either DEMO or closeout. At that price, yeah, you can get some value. But imagine JBL or Klipsch selling their higher end subs MSRP for $200-$300, lol!
The soundtrack to Interstellar fucked my subs up….
Wow... these things were only 699 a month ago?!? It just doesnt seem worth it at the $1100‐$1200 im finding them for.
They are on sale again at Adorama for $699.
Does anyone else think this feels more like an ad than a review?
I’ve seen the build quality tear down of these and it’s not very good build quality I’d rather pay more for quality
I know they look pretty but you are aware that when you're listening to something, all those speaker cones are vibrating in sympathy so you're not hearing just the system you're listening to but a combination of all of them?
i will never ever buy a Klipsch product anymore, especially one with an amp in it. My SPL-150 sub broke after just about one year. After research, the amp unit breaking is a really well-known issue that many people had, also with its' predecessor, the SW115. So no more Klipsch subs for me, definitely.
The new Klipsch subs have a 5 year warranty.
@@user-kh1ye2pt2h So? A long warranty period cannot replace quality assurance. That's BS. Also, the warranty for subwoofers in i.e. germany is 2 years, not 5.
@@simonklotz8817 a long warranty period shows that the company believes in the quality of the product. Otherwise they'd slap a standard 1 year warranty on it and call it a day. Sucks to be in Germany I guess.
@@user-kh1ye2pt2h in theory, yes, it shows that. But from a business perspective, it can still make more sense to use cheaper parts and labor and compensate for it with a long warranty. Also, it's just true, that these amps have a high failure rate. Just google for it. There are even persons offering repair jobs specifically for these Klipsch sub amps. Seems to make a pretty penny.. And no, it really does not suck to live in germany. It sucks to be a Klipsch customer in germany.
Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
what about 1 1600 and 2 1400's? You know, for Dub lovers 😂
Those and then just a pair of nines 😂
It’s funny zeos and his followers think of subs much differently than I. For me I want a sub to disappear and blend into the background. I want my speakers the blend seamlessly and the bass to act as a natural extension of the woofers. Rel and rythmik are the way.
Oh not at all. We think the same, I just have to make it a little more bombastic for the video. The only subwoofer that doesn't disappear into the background and the giant klipsch and a small ass sunroom
14" ? Your mom will take 2!
I went with two of the older model R-115SW. 14" is stupid to me. They should have revamped the 15" and added the 16", or even a 17".. imo
Its not 900, its 1400$
It is apparently a roller coaster. On sale.. Off sale.. On again.
Hot take. There is no such thing as a "fast" and "slow" sub.
To the average person, this is true. They can't tell a difference. If you listen to enough subs, you'll start to train your ears and hear the differences between them.
I'd say tight and loose dictated by the woofer suspension, magnet structure, and dampening factor on the amp. Given that most subs in the same series use the same amp, same magnet structure, and have the same Xmax, a smaller diameter sub in that series can likely stop the previous bass note faster as there is less moving mass. This is not the same as saying a 12" is automatically a tighter sub than an 18". If the 18" has a lower xmax and a higher BL, it can likely be more controlled than a smaller woofer with a lower bl and bigger xmax.
Also. The idea that smaller subs are faster, is nonsense.
@@mitchy5994 There are differences but the terms fast and slow make no sense. If it's moving slower than it's playing a lower frequency. The terminology is wrong. You can say that it sounds tighter or punchier. But slow and fast make no sense.
@@BiffTannenBTTF No need to tell me that. I never said that was the right terminology. But we both understood what he was saying, so it doesn't matter in the long run.
Now you need to do a review of the same series of speakers, see if they are also just as good a value speakers. Like a two channel with a sub or a two channel, center and a sub. I think a lot of people would be interested in that.
this guy is not a good reviewer ..... truthfully i was annoyed ..... how he gets money to buy all these products ..... couldn't stand to watch the whole thing ..... next
The sub placing method is absolute crap. There are plenty of videos with actual measures showing that it doesnt work like you explain it here.
We desperately need your response.
