It was non-relenting uphill! Pretty much all of the elevation gain of 2500ft happened in the first 3.1 miles before we got to the top of the plateau. The total distance there and back was 9.46 miles.
Thanks for coming back and watching more videos :) Really appreciate it. Yeah, it was interesting to reach a state border by foot, usually it happens in a car.
@@AdventurousWay I'll have travel through your videos for a while. I had back surgery a month ago, and I won't be able to travel for 5 months or so. Keep up the good work.
@@AdventurousWay Thanks. It really is not too bad. I have immediate relief from from the crushed disk. Just healing up now. I got a big spacer where the disk was (no loss in height) and some cool screws and rods. I am a Mechanical Engineer so I like the hardware. I am slowly replacing bad parts with good parts. :) I can pretty much do anything but am restricted from Bending, Lifting, and Twisting. I just need to be careful as to what I do. Other than that, I feel good. Have fun on your travels, I'll be looking for your Videos.
Interesting to see the fossils which are millions of years old. It is like going back in time!
It is! Some of them seem to have been preserved really well. Absolutely fascinating.
Wow...2500 feet gain over 2.5 miles? Yikes! I got winded just watching this video. Thanks for doing all the work for us.

We are enjoying following your journeys - this looked like an interest hike and cool to see the border of 2 states.

Nice video. Enjoyed the fossils along the way. It was foggy like this for us at Carlsbad Caverns.
Thanks! It was interesting to learn about the fossils, we haven't been on that many trails that would offer that.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
I am glad you enjoyed it!
