I’ve done a lot of freshwater fishing in the Midwest and it’s better now than it was 20 years ago and I believe it’s through management and education. Not by banning fishing. There’s WAY more management through slot limits, etc., and there’s WAY more catch and release. Unfortunately, the party boats rely on bringing meat into the docks to book trips the following weekend. It’s tough to manage when you’ve got so many people that want to get after it. Great show, btw!
Understand the urge to avoid these surveyors but its a missed opportunity to tell them how many hundreds of fish you caught and released that day and every single day they ask.
Thanks for another information report! What's the reason for better fishing a break wall early am or after sun down? Are the fish less likely to see the line, hook, etc during those dimmer light times?
Myself as well. Lots on the newport and huntington artificial reefs. I really wish the narrative could change to habitat and artificial reef creation to improve fish population, yes it costs more but would be a lasting change that everyone can get behind.
Their is less and many times it's much less and it's maybe less about overfishing and more about the decline in the environment as suggested grounds that held fish do not anymore . If you have planetary forces changing line currents and the ph of the oceans you going to get disruptions . It takes time for animal life to adapt . The problem there isn't much interest in preserving . It's more about taking and sooner or later we will see a tipping point which we maybe already at .
I was wondering when those 'Launch Ramp Surveys' would come back to bite us in the ass, and here we are. Good ol 'Commie-fornia', . . . looking forward to $7.00 / gallon for gas next season as well . . . . "But the weather's great" . . .PPffffffff.
Good information buddy I’ll be on the water next two days THANKS AGAIN
Good luck!

For some people local fish are the only source of natural food we can harvest

California is unfortunately not fixable with the left wing leadership.
I'm afraid you're right.
And what does you're personal political view have to do with fishing ?
Shut up & fish
