As somebody who followed closely Radwanska's career, I dare to say it was the most painful loss in her entire career. Bartoli was never capable to win against Aga. Radwanska with having a lead in the final set here, it was the closest she has ever been to win any slam and her favourite tennis tournament.
Lisicki was such a joy to watch! The best combination of an absolute powerhouse on the court and the sweetest player on the tour in interviews. Holding nothing back, it's no wonder the crowd & commentary orbited around her the whole time. Genuinely smiling even when she lost a point to either a silly mistake or a good play by her opponent is so rare, but is the nicest thing to watch. I don't think I've ever wanted someone to win the title more.
2 points to win and may be a slam title but Aga missed it... really really sad that she ended her career without a grandslam, she is deserved at least one

I am 5'9 and around 170 pounds and yet I believe Aga is strong and muscular enough to physically beat me up in a fight, lift me up in the air and womanhandle me if she wanted to. Watching Sabine Lisicki play Serena Williams and Radwanska it is difficult to see how she did not win every match against any opponent Part of the explanation must be the sequence of injuries, and perhaps, because she has so much power and talent, she has a problem of concentration so that she needs adversity to summon up her will power, but also she is blessed with a sense of humour and a sense of proportion, so that although she loves tennis she has more in her life For myself I must confess she delights me, win or lose because she has the skills to defeat all comers. I just delight in her smile, her feminine figure an personality. She recruits the support and the affections of a Wimbledon crowd because grass is her element, her style appeals to an English crowd. She is just a joy
This was a great match. I used to love watching Sabine play. The handshake at the end is disappointing but remember Aga would be bitterly disappointed. But it would have been nice to acknowledge Sabine's success. Still incredible match.

Last year after getting over injuries she was diagnosed with "Mononucleosis and at the end of the year just got the all clear to start training again. It' so easy to judge people without knowing the true story. She's also a 30 year old who's won over 7 million dollars in prize money, so somehow I think she's pretty well known
Aga couldn't win the QF match if Li Na decided to challenge in 1st set. And actually if Sabine faced Li Na in SF, it would be not sure that she could win... Li Na deserved to conquer the title at that year !

She took into account: her body type and played rings around the truly big names in women's tennis. Iga Swiatek, cannot hold a candle to her for that very reason ...
