I picked kamui with my free ticket. was scared of getting a dupe but luckily I got s liv too. now I'm set for alpha. I actually pulled right after you did so thanks for the luck.
I always enjoy pull videos because I’ve never met someone with worse luck than myself on any game, so it becomes comical at this point watching “bad” luck lol
you can use him. it's just, he's hard to pull off. if you want, wait for his Dark version. they have almost the same playstyle. that Watanabe will actually be meta for a long time (until Luna comes out, which will take a long time)
Congrats on the S Liv! Australian on NA server, she's my main (she's currently 4.3k) and she's been carrying coops. Only thing is you hope your teammates stay in her heals, but it's hard to tell what's her heals and what's the enemies' attacks since her heal area is orange.
Got 3 more before i get to 40 myself and was hoping to get Kamui and then maybe using the selector to get him again for his shards...but think i'll change that and use that for Liv instead...even if i get Karenina or Nanami (who i was going to get the other with the free S rank) i think i'll go for Liv only because the Pain Cage more or less requires you to get another Liv since you may not have enough attempts with B Liv to use her again (had the same issue with Watanabe, my main DPS, so i built A Lee as a second DPS for the Cage...both of which i'll likely use as my DPS units until S Bianca releases since i was able to get Watanabe's 5* weapon and Lee's 6 Star weapon). Personally i either want S Nanai, Kamui, or Liv for the S rank selector and the other i'll either choose the tank or Liv depending on which i get from the S rank selector (between the 2 if i get Liv i'll go for Kamui though). Also...i woundn't really say Watanabe's single target...as long as they're around him or grouped up together they will be hit by his attacks (especially the shadows...he's more or less able to hit in 360 degrees around him so he's good at being put right in the fray of a bunch of enemies (only real single target attack is the blue ping stab attack). Also like using him cause his design's good (trench coats always look good on guys in games like this imo).

Edit: Reason why I was happy after thinking about it is because if I were to get an attacker unit, they would be replaced almost instantly when Alpha drops. Because I got Liv, she’ll be useful for Co-op and on my pve team for awhile
Once you hit your 40 pity pull, stop pulling from the basic banner for now. In the next update or 2 we will get an A Rank selector for the basic banner that lets us choose any A rank to Rate Up, seriously increasing their chance of being the A rank we pull. Makes the basic banner a good source of your most desired A Ranks, either for pulling brand new A Ranks or improving the ones you have and use most.
I have all 3 Liv now. At first I built up B Liv for Story. Few days ago I worked up A Liv...Now just pulled S Liv on my guaranteed S...Is S Liv a priority? Just feels like a waste of resources now to build her up. ;(

A Karenina continues to be relevant in the game on the other servers due to being a good physical off-dps to use in Warzone for her enemy-grouping CC to hit everything all at once with burst attacks. You can safely invest and use her for a really long time. Out of all the current A ranks shes one of very very few that remain relevant at the highest levels of play.

My Watanabe is S rank he's a pretty fun units once you get the hang of him, I just stopped investing in him until I get to rank 65 cause I don't feel like playing him until I get the mask skin and I'm probably going main Alpha anyway so for now mostly playing Bianca

The current A Watanabe is a good training character for more of a risky playstyle character, give him a shot.

I think you have to wait until pain cage resets (tomorrow), but I'm not entirely sure.
Wait for next day, it's impossible to recharge it.
If you're referring to chara AP, you have to wait whole week to recharge.
