Well said. I’m surprised they didn’t lean into the established Ubisoft titles more if they wanted money, the battle pass kinda sucked from what I saw so even if you spend money it wasn’t exciting
But as far as a successful live service the big ones were not stand alone they had a story mode or apart of an established franchise. The best way to go is to demo a mission type in a single player game and gauge resception on it. Then build it into a live service. Basically expand something we like
we couldn't continue playing it since launch due to bunny hoppers and how the net code seems to be another issue, there was also tons of people on Xbox reviews who seemed pissed about how many people started going competitive and how they didn't like this, and another factor was cross play as well because it did turn off a huge portion of console players who don't like to play with PC. I ended up leaving since all my friends didn't seem to stick with the game since they couldn't keep up with the veteran players and I hate playing alone, also a lack of content since I already had all weapons unlocked and I wasn't going to grind through the battle pass knowing it might not stay for long.
The main problem with sbmm is that the gaming community are too competitive thesse days, every one try to be the best and not simply play for fun, no matter what game it is. I blame this on e-sport and content creators.
Thank you! Finally someone gets it! The removal of skill based matchmaking was one of the worst decisions that they made. I never found it fun logging into this game, and getting stomped by sweats. And I was not about to increase my sens like crazy, just so I could compete. My tryhard days are done. I just wanna log in and play a game casually with friends.
ITS ALREADY DEAD i tried to get into a match and 15 min wait. DANG SNIPERS killed this game they camp wont play the objective just to get high k/d shooting people in the back. JUST GOT ON AND BOOM a loser datz was doing the same thing. thats why i was DONE and truly GLAD IT IS SHUTING DOWN it was fun at the start till EVERYONE camp with snipers.
Dude i am lost why these devs are so slow. [SBMM] Is good. Also the return to office work flows better in office, but if they had foresight they would have said its temperary.
Why it failed
- worst netcode in existence
- awful matchmaking
- nothing to do
- bunny 🐰 spam still broken
- inconsistent gunfights
Great points
The fact that the netcod is already a problem since the beta and they delay the game for a WHOLE YEAR and they still can't fix it, what a joke 😂
@ yes
Hacktivision and the green god of greed always wins.

They have established franchises they could have used more, it felt like they wanted some aspects but didn't go far enough with it

Very well said thank you for sharing your experience with it! Cross play with PC is difficult when there’s no SBMM

Yeah agreed. Everyone thinks they’re the top 1% of gamers until they actually go against them hahaha
In world full of multiplayer shooters, this one certainly existed.
Hahahaha it was truly a game of all time
net code and too much focus on the sweaty players, the game wasn't casual friendly.
Exactly!

Yeah that’s exactly how I feel! Just want to have fun with online shooters but you kinda need SBMM for that to work for casual FPS fans
Finally, some good news in the game industry. 🎉
Hahaha

Well said, snipers aren’t inherently bad in games, but the way this game handles that plus everything else was just bad
Wish they would keep the game up for ppl who still want to play
Im surprised they are pulling the plug this quickly honestly
@ me too even rouge company servers are still up and running😭
Oh wowwww I forgot about that game

Skill based match making makes sure that casuals can have fun too!
