Awesome adaptation, and some of your best shredding too! So happy to see this video come to life.
The legend himself!!
this is a Russian folk song "korobochka". - "Oh, the box is full, full,
There is also chintz and brocade.
Have pity, my sweetheart soul,
Well done shoulder!" etc
I never knew I needed a metal cover of Tetris until now. This is pure freaking awesomeness!!! 🤘🤘
when the tetris blocks start getting faster and you're almost beating it:
With the game accelerating the tempo of the song each level, it is just made for this type of ever rising crescendo :D
I am worried I'd break my tetris game device by accident if that was its true soundtrack... Great Job!
Well. What to say...
How can you listen to the Tetris theme song and come up with THAT Connor ?!
Musicians have different brains that are connected to their instrument.
Just brilliant ❤
You are the man that arranges the blocks.
That’s brilliant 😂
Surpassed how I imagined it would sound in my head when I began searching for it. Love it!
Super beautiful version with great epicness, well done
Got this game in 1989 on Christmas Day! Been in my head ever since. *Bonus for the extra wide guitar stance! got to go to the gym to be able to hold that for the whole set.
Love the desk light
You would think the game from Russia. The music is distinctly Russian. And yes I know it actually did come from there.
Such talent Connor! 😎 Best Tetris I've heard yet. 🎸 rock on!
Killer cover!
Killer studio!
Nice shirt :)
Thanks, Nate! That is seriously some of the coolest artwork you've done in my opinion! I could not pass it up!!!
@@ConnorEngstromMusicit's very very cooooooooolll🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. The best. Thank you😊
Badass!!! Thank you Connor! You gave me advice on my daughter awhile back about strumming. She knew what you were talking about and she passed class with an A! Her final was to play Zombies by the cranberries! Again amazing as always!!
That's so great to hear! I hope she sticks with guitar for many more years 😊
Love it. Great work Connor!
I want you to play it at my future university graduating party, wedding, my son's first birthday party (maybe all next ones too), my 20th anniversary of marriage, and at my funeral. Please, sir.
This shall be playing while I'm packing up the car to go to download festival tomorrow 🤣
It's rock tiiiiiiimee!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes yes yes the exact beat I heard over the original yes yes I love this good shit
How is this not viral yet?
Sooo from now on we listen to this while playing Tetris...don't argue with me. Just do it.
good cover
love the Fight fire with fire intro right in the middle of the song =) makes me want to play tetris lol
I think the track you were looking for is Ride the Lightning, not Fight Fire with Fire. And just before that, a little Flight of the Bumblebee.
Awesome metal version!!!! 🤘
Do my ears deceive me, or was that the intro to "ride the lightning" I heard?
[EDIT] Yep. At 1:23 give or take, the intro to Ride the Lightning can be heard. Nice.
Yeah, directly after "flight of the bumblebee" ;).
@@MrPeperoni79o yeah 😍😍😍😍👏👏👏
@@MrPeperoni79this is the Russian folk song the Box "korobochka"
Yes!!!! Epic!!! Also, you’re a goober!
Great stuff!
Great job, man! Glad you’re digging the shirt. :-)
I was accidentally (not really) repping Viking Guitar HARD! Had my bracelet on too 😂🤘
I have to share this with my tetris loving mom!
Upon another listen - Was that "The Flight of The Bumble Bee" at some point in the score?
daymnn time to get into Tetris again
Thank you very much !!!🙏🏻🕊️✨🌟😍😍🤩🥰🥰🥰🎵🎶🎼❤❤❤
I've been playing tetris for for almost 33 years. This is probably one of the best versions I've ever heard ♡
Love it I can play it on my bagpipes too 🤟xx

Это было искренне,братэлло!
how in the world did I not recognize the ride the lightening riff?
Man, it’s just me, or i literally hear Ride the Lightning intro in one moment
Love the cover snd the guitar. Any idea what company mskes the V?
Nice one \m/
My suggestions for covering:
Theme from MacGyver
The cha-la head-cha-la song from Dragon Ball Z
:-)
Those are great ideas! I'm not sure there is anything better in life than those suuuuuuper 80s toms in the MacGyver theme song!!
If you want to put some video game music there are some suggestions I can give you right now which is for example but marios theme song And maybe mortal kombat theme song
Um, if you don't mind, what patch did you use to get that distortion?
I used plugins from Neural DSP. I think it was either the Fortin Nameless Suite or NTS. I usually make all my own presets from scratch to fit the track, but Neural DSP amps always sound great no matter what!
@@ConnorEngstromMusic I am using a pod hd500x line 6 effects pedal, would that work for this pedal too?
@@crackedminecraftclips9946 that would be something completely different, so you'd had to find a patch on there that sounds similar. My advice is find a patch that sounds "crunchy" like classic rock. Then just turn up the gain a little. You don't need as much distortion as you think if you play cleanly. 🤘
Fuckin AWESOME
In Russia TETRIS plays you 🎸
@Connor Engstrom Music - I have a question about the guitars in the background. If I'm not mistaken you're playing an Ivory-white Jackson Flying-V. I see what either appears to be two Fender Telecasters or Stratocasters. It's the black one next to your AC/DC sign that I can't wrap my head around. The head appears to be a Jackson, given the pyramid like shape, but the base appears to be another fender, or possibly Les Paul design. I shy away from the Les Paul due to the lack of Humbucker pickups.
So, what is that black guitar back there? Also, how many of these see use or are decoration?
Great questions! I'm actually playing a Gibson Flying V in the video. It's the Brendon Small signature, and I installed a Floyd Rose tremolo on it, which is why it isn't as recognizable.
The one guitar is a Strat like you observed, but the wood grain natural colored guitar is actually an 8-string Ibanez guitar. I use it for the REALLY HEAVY stuff. 🤘
The guitar you were looking at next to my AC/DC album (coincidentally, signed by all of them 🤘❤) is my Music Man/Ernie Ball John Petrucci signature. It's the hand made version from the first run of Petruci signatures a while ago. I also have a 7-string version of it because I love it so much!
All the guitars get played fairly regularly. Recently, though, I'd say the 7-string Petrucci has been getting the most love 😁
@@ConnorEngstromMusic Thank you for those answers as well. John Petrucci's epic guitar solo on the album "Once in a LIVE-Time" still ranks among my favorites of all time. I felt your inclusion in this video of The Flight of The BumbleBee came off as a brilliant homage to either him or that solo. I recall he also did, and forgive me for butchering the spelling here, a cover of Tantarella which is a rather famous folk song in the Mediterranean.
I believe you have the talent and drive to preform as well, or even better than John if you continue to practice and release amazing content like this. I am honestly blessed to have been able to consume a measure of your content.
As for the Gibson Flying-V, man I feel bad for missing that one. Gibson and Jackson do have similar looking guitars, but if I recall I think Jackson V's are known for sharper and asymmetric bases, while Gibson makes the equal-lateral one you displayed.
Sorry for the long reply, I just figured this would be the best way to respond.
too think i found you cause on frank klepacki lol. take my sub lol
This rocks! Video/audio syncing is off, though. :(
Could be different depending on the device. Seems good on my end, so hopefully most people see it correctly!
@@ConnorEngstromMusic You know what? It was fine this time through. Maybe something was up with my computer. Excellent job. Rock on!
@@wendyg1059 thank you for pointing it out, though! I've had enough sync issues in the past that now I just focus on making sure it's close enough and making it entertaining visually in case some people don't see it in sync.
TSO for video games
Wow ilove you Bro
Can you do the original POPCORN song? I'm sure you can if you can do this.
