The 62 ... my usual route to JTNP ... too bad about all the DEVELOPMENT (traffic lights, strip malls, etc.!). I was going to almost say a bit dark (evening time) for a road video ... 'till I saw that gorgeous/colorful dusk sky. Very nice work, AR ... the info-graphics (signs) and textual commentary are didactic ... but, importantly, you don't over-do them allowing a distraction-free ride. BTW: Don't be scared of the Park! ... entrance fare is minimal ... and that makes for a VERY scenic road-vid ;)
On that day, I actually did the scenic drive of Joshua Tree NP. But I decided to cancel the video because of the sun angle :(:( It was shining right into the camera practically half of my scenic drive. I guess I chose the wrong route. When entering the park from the south, I would have to drive mostly west afterwards. And since I arrived at the park on an afternoon, the timing was just not right. Having said that, the desert landscape of the park was BEAUTIFUL. And where on earth did all those huge boulders come from?? I WILL, by the way, do another scenic drive. I will head to the west entrance through CA-62, just like you usually do. Most likely, I will be able to avoid the sun. So, just stay tuned ;)
Amazing scenery and sunset!
interesting terrain out there - only been to the CA desert once. Nice to see it again.
There are dramatic changes of elevation for sure.
Good job with good content and production, enjoyed the ride.
Thanks a lot as always :)
Nice drive through the dark desert!
And fun too!
