- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Transitional Services initiative continues to expand its reach to help individuals stabilize their lives and transition back into society.
“I’m a guy who’s just trying to rebuild his life after a setback,” said 48-year-old Garrett Morris.
Originally from Oakland, California, Morris works in Murray, Utah, as a forklift operator at Deseret Industries, a nonprofit work-training organization owned and operated by the Church.

Thank you for your service.
It is simply amazing just how much the church helps our brothers and sisters who are in need, it is what the Savior would do.
The church also does Addiction Recovery Program, where my wife and I serve.
It's a great program. 32 years sober here.
This is awesome!
I didn’t know the church did this. I knew about Deseret industries. This is fantastic.
The church always does more than you could ever know! It's who we are! Loving as the savior Jesus Christ did, it the goal! 🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏾💜
that is just in EEUU,i lived in Europe and i have lived in five different countries and I can say Chuch it is not the same ,as visitors ¨testify¨´it is .NOT TRUE
@@kat8051 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same everywhere, but not all programs of the Church are available everywhere because in some places there are not enough members yet to support those programs. When I went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Romania, I found the same Church that I knew from everywhere else.
@@00Fisher00 I respect what you think,I love this church and I believe that gospel principles can make us happy but I was just saying something that is true for some of us members..and not just talking about this programs..a lot of other very inportant things..and about the numbers...some of the places that I have live for yeras...count with it.
Anyway just wanna make sure you know I have the right to say what I know its true,I am not attacking the gospel but thank you for telling me about others places..I am very happy for them . I Hope Heavenly Father will bless you Brother!
@@kat8051 I'd be interested in hearing what you find that is different. I'm always glad to hear about other people's experiences.
😱🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸😱
So is this for non members as well? I never knew we did this.
I don't think membership is required for any church program.
@@TheHerbdude Exactly. We follow the example of Christ, and see the person first. 😊❤️
Absolutely!
When will it be available in other areas? We are doing these services as a ward and we need help.
I want to be part of this church
We would love for you to join us! You can learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, request a visit from missionaries or find a meetinghouse near you (visitors are always welcome) at comeuntochrist.org?cid=42001274
So is this not the same thing as Family Services? Oh sorry, talking about families, marriage, and children makes people feel excluded! Whoopsie.
Did this used to be called family services or is it a totally different program? Asking for a friend….😉
This is a different service.
@@nharman5162 thank you.
It essential to help people rebuild their lives. Such heart felt stories of success.
I'm thankful for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Including the appendages that provide employment for those needing a hand up like the gentleman featured in this video. Grateful for the service opportunities to work on farms, dairies, canneries and in the trenches when calamity strikes to help rebuild broken lives. I'm also grateful for those, like Michael who open a UA-cam channel for no other reason than to criticize everything good the church does, He too shows I'm where I need to be; and sheds light on the reality of Lehi's dream of seeing the great and spacious building full of people pointing and mocking those on the path to the tree of life. Michael, I invite you to come join us, make a positive difference in someone's life today, instead of putting your energy into pulling things down, come help lift others around you. I see good in all church and non religious organizations, that reach out to give a hand up to those trying to improve their lives.
God bless you!
@@irokruok what a beautiful message and invitation, I’m sure it extends to each one of us.
Thank you for posting this.
