hello masaru :) the reason abalone is so expensive is because they were such a popular food that the population dropped because of how many were eaten. i don’t know about the rest of the world, but where i live there exists a law that you cant take an abalone out of the sea under a certain size, so that they are mature enough to have reproduced before they get caught and eaten :)

There is such a crab harvesting method. They take 1 claw & throw the crab back for next year harvest. I forgot what's the crab called.
