This woman was a 6th grade teacher a couple classrooms down for me at Willow Oaks Elementary in Memphis, TN. She was not my teacher, but, I used to see her all the time standing in the hallway, walking her students to the lunchroom and back, with the EXACT same hair, standing up straight and tall - just like she is here - with a ruler in her hand and these exact same kinds of suits on. I honestly thought she was probably about 70yo back then... And this was all in 1987-88. I could never have imagined back then how the world would keep going/changing and that almost 40 years later I would be almost 50yo myself, and watching her on this thing called UA-cam. Life is amazing. To see that not only is she still with us, but in church and singing... warms my heart. Get it Ms Cox. 🙂
Then you were just a couple classrooms down from me, towards the doors going outside. I was in Ms Debra Childress class in 6th grade. Depending on what year you were there of course lol.
@@torip6200Lol... Well of all the years you could have said, you just said the exact years that I was in 6 grade at Willow Oaks as well... 87/88. I went to WO 1st through 6th... Then Colonial. That's crazy about Ms Childress! I'm glad to hear she's doing well.
Mrs Cox was 6th Grade Teacher at Willow Oaks 50 Years ago.... She wore similar wigs and DID NOT PLAY...... is she still living? i would give her early to mid 80s now....
I wasn't in her class (I was in Ms Childress class) but I remember I used to see Ms Cox all the time. She would be in those same suits, with the same hair, carrying a ruler in her hand and walking her class back and forth to the lunchroom. 😅😅 Seeing her here now is CRAZY.
This is the COGIC I grew up on. I miss the old school singers that sang Gospel. Before the Clarks took everything o we and everybody had to start copying them. Trying to make the music all sound the same. They make the chords so mish-mashed there’s no edge to the music any more.
I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus. I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on the Lord. I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus hallelu hallelu hallelu
Mother Cox will go down in history!
Oh Yesss!!

I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus.
I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on the Lord.
I woke up this morning with my mind stayed on Jesus hallelu hallelu hallelu
They dont make strong sopranos like that anymore. Most nowadays sound so squeaky/whinny lol🤭
I agree. There are only a few sopranos like this left nowadays.
