I have always been rather ambivalent about Madame Leander, but this tune is one of her most moving, more quiet than she used to be. A nice change. The photos are great.
Wonderful juxtaposition of images: the ravaged cities of Europe (or are all the scenes set in Berlin?) resulting from the Nazis with whom she collaborated and the ravaged face of the aging Zarah. The irony is subtle but strong. And a great change from her beautiful young face featured on other Zarah videos.
this is unfair! well, even ibm this american concern had a profit! AMERICA waik up and look into your own problems, it is always the same .:N a z i and Germany, look to your own history, but you can make oscars in this "range" well done! it is just the profit, which makes it hard, between europe and america, no longer the same way!

only a dunderhead could not see in a moment what the intent of this composition dealt with. You have been more than kind to explain such to the dullards who are bewildered. It is as if you have to say boiling hot coffee is hot.
I love it when Zarah sings these type of intimate melancholic profound songs. She has the voice and look for it.
