Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among nine people in a helicopter that crashed near Calabasas, Calif. A college baseball coach and his wife and daughter were also killed.

I can't fking believe this. It's like bad dream. I was a young 25 year old dude here in LA when Kobe joined the NBA and my Lakers. Since the first moment i saw him play he became my favorite player. I cheered for every one of his baskets for 20 years. I wanted to name my son 'Kobe' when he was born 20 years ago, but his mom wouldn't let me. I cried on his farewell game watching it by myself at an Applebee's in Jacksonville, and now he's gone. He's my all time favorite idol and sports hero and he was the king of my town, LA. RIP Mamba, RIP GG. My condolences and prayers to the Bryant family. Kobe is the GOAT.

I would like to pour out my heart with whomever out there...I am 47' and have seen so many great players, big characters playing the ball game all around the world for 40 years.I always believed just one guy who ever the best was and ever will be...It would not be that hard to find his name..Hands down ,he was MJ...To me, Kobe was his best imitator and all the things he accomplished in his career meant nothing to me till....
After the final shot by MJ in 98',i felt there was a big hole in the wall as Mr Nicholson said for Kobe ,so i thought nothing would be same again that time in the future of NBA.However, i had forgotten a detail which life could teach you hard way and it took so long for me to find out that... That was the strong connection that i made with Kobe in the last two decades without being aware as many did...
I still cant believe that death of someone i never met would take apart so many things inside me and meant a lot to me...I realized in a tragedic way he was one of us, he was like my little brother in my family, he was girl dad like me and he was...
