    Hey buddy I live in the middle of the trails and nobody that I know would ever charge for help so calling it a scam is the right word for it because around here we help if we can because it's how we was raised and love that others get to enjoy some of the same places we do daily! So sorry that happened and thanks for calling it out!!! My advice use your best judgement but find someone local you can trust to take along but only if you want or know you can trust them!!! Again thanks for letting people know that happened and sorry that it did! Hope you come back soon and be careful out there but have fun!!!

      @@clevermotorsports I'm glad it never happened to you and it sucks about your friend remember and remind people never go alone because you never know and like here near me there's no cell service for miles and miles and you could ride all day and never see anyone or any houses so always take at least one other machine just in case!!! Keep on riding just be safe !!!

    The thing i was most shocked about on my first trip to the trails was the excessive use of alcohol and Marijuana. Just about every large group that's stopped along the trail is partaking in it. I ride with my kids and its a shame that i have to worry so much about drunk drivers. The only saving grace is that there are so many miles of trails, and if you ride during the week day's, you may only see a handful of other riders.

      @clevermotorsports  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes that is true but that most places you go ride not much we can do about that but be aware of our surroundings if they get caught it can be a pretty hefty fine I've heard of checkpoints in the trails I've never personally encounter one

    • @fitzfarm8694
      @fitzfarm8694 3 місяці тому

      @clevermotorsports I've gone through several check points. Seems like they only care if you have a trail permit or not.

      @@fitzfarm8694 wonder if they just don't want to scare riders away or something maybe, still should do something like you said I've seen some individuals that should not be behind the wheel of anything
      We avoid going on holiday weekends those are the worse

      @@clevermotorsports yes, I think it is to avoid chasing riders away. Holidays and the weekends are good times to avoid for sure.

      Kids should have a designated area. It's really a adult sport. But also understand your frustration as most around here drink and ride like idiots and is why people dislike riders

    Nice review. Other things that should be mentioned. Most all trails are two-way trails lot of people don't understand that. Don't stop in the middle of a trail to take a break unless you're broke down. Learn the hand signals when riding on the trail. Have fun.

    • @clevermotorsports
      @clevermotorsports  3 місяці тому

      Yes I forgot to mention not to park in the middle of the trail it is annoying when someone is blocking the trails

    • @fitzfarm8694
      @fitzfarm8694 3 місяці тому

      Forget the hand signals. Keep your hands on the steering wheel or bars. As a snowmobiler as well, most clubs, riding areas and even the state of NY does not recommend the use of hand signals. Most importantly is to travel at a safe speed.

    • @clevermotorsports
      @clevermotorsports  3 місяці тому +1

      @@fitzfarm8694some of these trails are not very wide especially in a steep hill you don't want to get 2 groups of riders stuck in the middle of the hill so hand signals can actually save you from a bad situation by letting the other group know that you still have riders coming behind but yeah some times it's not ideal taking your hands off the wheel or handlebars

      Oh yea for sure but gotta remember not everyone does and also people riding with family will probably try to solve it peacefully before especially if they are out numbered so rather warn everyone so it may prevent people from falling for this again

    Yes, cell service is quite sketchy on the trails. If you have an emergency or just want to check your messages, your best bet is to go to the top of the hills and try. It worked for me in a few different locations. Bikes and 4whlrs take spare clutch and brake levers, those are usually first to break in an incident. 🖒✌

      @clevermotorsports  2 місяці тому

      Yes but even then it would be very difficult to catch them with the amount of people that ride the trails and being so big the best bet is just stay informed and be cautious

    I do wish in many cases that the trails were one way! There have been many occasions when a SxS came through a bermed curve side ways taking any safe passage away from the on coming traffic and with many blind switchback that is dangerous! Ride your side bike 4 wheeler or SxS!

    • @clevermotorsports

    They need to make these trails wider. Machines keep getting bigger but the trails stay the same width.

      Same never did before until it happened to one of our friends riding his side by side with his family came back telling us about it he was pissed and after we were talking to someone about it and said they did hear from someone else so it could have been a group from out of state being a$$#oles but better be informed just in case we don't know who they are
