i came to wales at 13 to live with my father from my native American Choctaw nation i love it great history culture and people i learnt welsh and taught my welsh relatives some of my native American Choctaw language,
I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for sharing! Wales definitely holds a special place in our hearts! We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
That's really cool, have you heard of the legend of Prince Madoc? Some believe he sailed from Wales to North America before Columbus and even believe he settled there and integrated with some of the native American people.
No one is coming to Wales in the summer … They are too afraid of being fined for doing over 20 mph , This is the reason all your holiday parks are closing like Pontins etc , No bookings …😂
Hopefully, we will be able to go back and see it. Because even in the winter, it was breathtaking! We absolutely loved our time. We're already planning our next trip! We appreciate your time coming along with us for this adventure. Thank you, and have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x

The undulating stretch of road near the start i believe is known as the 7 sisters. You would of driven right by my cottage. Castle was very interesting. 👍🏴
How cool is that? Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it. That would have been really cool to be able to wave at you as we passed by. We appreciate your time, and thank you so very much. Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x

Over 600 castles, more per square mile than anywhere in the World and with 1,700 miles of coast and 4 world heritage sites, and it's the size of New Jersey for comparison!?!
Wales is best visited in the Spring/Summer, as I'm sure you're appreciating, winters are bleak in the UK, however, there is something to be said for a clear, cold, crisp winters day. Glad you enjoyed it though. ❤
I completely understand, I can only imagine if it was beautiful during the winter. How more magnificent it will be in the summer and spring. Look forward to our next adventure.. It was nice not to have to worry about all of the crowds because of it being in the wintertime. We are so glad that you enjoyed this adventure with us. Have a wonderful day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Fantastic video, very enjoyable watch. Must of been great having the whole castle to yourselves to explore without hoards of people getting in the way and not a raindrop in sight 😁
It was a fabulous trip! The entire castle to enjoy and just take in ourselves was fab. We appreciate you coming along with us, and thank you so much for your kindness! Have a great day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We always try to find things that most people overlook. We love and appreciate this beautiful island and the option to explore. We thank you for your time and kindness. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Thank you for your time. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
What a lovely treat! We holiday in Llanon every year. When you were driving through Llanrhystud and past the bright red petrol station with the Costcutter store we cheered- that always means we're nearly there. We walk the coast paths. If you go there again, go right opposite the store, towards the sea. Down there you can get onto the coast path heading towards Llanon and you come to beautiful historic limekilns. Further along there's a lovely little church. It can get muddy though, good footwear is a must. I love it that you appreciate Wales, and other parts of the UK. All the best 👋😊
I'am very impressd with your family going all over more really than the average brit, and seems your enjoying your stay we could do with more people like you coming .
We absolutely love exploring. We want to take in and learn and appreciate as much as we can about this beautiful place. We appreciate your time and hope you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Wow, thank you for your time watching our video. We appreciate your kindness. We definitely love Wales it now holds a special place in our hearts. We thank you for your comment. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Well, it was completely breathtaking to our family. So we can only imagine what the summer will be like! We appreciate you coming along for the right with us. Thank you so much, and have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
All new to me. Despite my 66 years living in England, I've never been to Wales... Looks nice... Ah yes Jess, road signs in Welsh....usually, English is shown underneath the Welsh part..... You really are getting around now.... That narrow lane at 9.50, All the roads near me are like that! That B&B looked lovely.....simple and functional, but nice, and a hot tub as well!
I absolutely loved the road signs.. Well, to be honest, everything else, too. 😉 It is just so wonderful to be able to explore this beautiful place and share with you all. Thank you for coming along with us. We appreciate you and hope you have a wonderful day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Crikey, I don't now why but when I see people enjoying the experience of being in my homeland, and being outside of theirs, it just warms my heart that I'm enjoying it with you and and thank God of our humanity.
We absolutely love taking you along with us. Thank you! We absolutely adore the support and kindness. Hope you have a beautiful day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
You won't see cows in the fields through the Winter, Farmers bring them inside until about March/April as the ground is too soft for them and they end up getting stuck in the mud. Great to see you both getting used to our road signs. 👍🏻🇬🇧🏴🤝🏻🇺🇲
Oh completely understand they have them in the barn. It's just cold to see like the crossing where cattle or sheep are due to be crossing.. Something that is not common in the US. So we love it here! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Great video. Wales is a magical place from its hills to mountains to its sandy shores. Pembrokeshire, Tenby, Snowden, Brecon Beacons and so much more. The Capital Cardiff has lots to offer as well with a great Bay area. So many great castles everywhere as well.
Thank you so much. We completely agree with you. It holds a special place in our hearts. Now and we are already planning our next trip back. Thank you so much for your recommendations. we really appreciate your time. We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We definitely had a wonderful time. Thank you for watching and all your support. We loved seeing all the hill and sea side villages. There is so much to see on this beautiful island. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Ah, thank you so much. I am definitely not a professional! I just absolutely love sharing our fun with you all. Thank you for coming along with us, and we hope you have a great day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
South and North Wales with the Lake District are very beautiful. Well worth visiting. Lovely castle and great view from the battlements. There is an abundance of slate in Wales. Welsh Slate is quite expensive as its quality is good.
Definitely agree with you. It is just such a wonderful place and so much to see much like England and Scotland and all of the UK... I truly appreciate your time watching and leaving us this wonderful comment. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We definitely try to make sure we check out. Things that are often normal path for travelers.. We like to think outside the box and we are so glad that we can share it with you. Thank you so much for coming along and your kindness. Have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Another great video, very pleased you are exploring the 4 corners of the UK and hitting our too often missed beauty little cousin Wales, because Scotland and Ireland better know to visitors. Wish my Welsh place name pronunciation sounded as good as yours👍 Interesting how different the Norman Castle in Norwich is to the Welsh one you visited
It was a fabulous adventure! We definitely want to take in as much as we possibly can. It's just a great opportunity to live in another country. Thank you so much for coming along and enjoying our video. Hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Thank you so much. We're so glad you enjoyed it! We absolutely loved our time there and can't wait to return. We appreciate your kindness and support. Hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We appreciate your recommendation and will definitely check it out! Please share places you would recommend for us to see when there. Thank you for your time. Cheers 🤍 Jess x

Wales is so beautiful , my grandparents lived their ,we use to stay inthe summer school holidays. Summer is so different , the heather & scenery ,, the uk is so cool theres so many areas & coast that is amazing but for me the History on this little island is crazy , i think because we live here we somtimes take it for granted & dont really appriciate what we have , ps enjoyed watching your reactions to our little home .
I agree it's a beautiful place! We definitely love exploring this beautiful island. Thank you so much for your kindness. We appreciate your time watching and commenting, friend. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
When I was driving in Welsh Wales couldn't work out what the araf slow sign in road was then found out araf is Welsh for slow so sign in English and Welsh 😅❤
At first, we had no clue what it meant, so we googled it... We appreciate you coming along with us and look forward to sharing part two with you this Sunday. We hope you have a lovely day, and thank you for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
The bumpy road is called the Seven Sisters, only five remain since they altered the road about 30 odd years ago. Each Sister being one of the small rises, which BTW is still in Shropshire, England
Thank you so much. It was a really cool road. Thank you for letting us know. We really appreciate you sharing and taking the time to watch our video. Hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
You should go to Snowdonia National park in the summer. Beautiful or to south Wales and the Pembrokeshire coast which has some of the best beaches in Britain
Yes, we have plans to head up that way. We appreciate your recommendation and kindness to share with us. We hope you have a great day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family
If you visit again I'd highly recommend coming to Snowdonia and catching the train to the top of the highest mountain in England and Wales, Snowdon, that would make for an epic video and the views from up there are incredible! Also I'd highly recommend coming during one of our famous Eisteddfods, the international one in Llangollen is simply awesome, people come from all over the world come every year to sing and dance in their native costumes, it's basically a huge arts festival with loads of worldwide traditional music, it's a very unique experience.
It most definitely sounds like an incredible time! Thank you so very much for the inside and good video opportunity. We truly appreciate you sharing with us your recommendation! 🤍 Jess x
Hi ALL , that's such amassing filming ,😊😊👍 that looked like you all had an amazing time. Take CARE ALL, AND all the best with your next edvencher. 😄😄😊😊👍👍👍👍💟🐶🐶🐶

Wow, thank you for sharing. We loved this adventure experience Wales. It was definitely not long enough for any of us. I think Wale will hold a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to return. We appreciate your time watching and supporting our family. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Croeso ir Cymru. I really enjoyed your very gracious video and I hope you enjoyed our hospitality. Have you done a family history check? I had ancestors who went to the States and came back to Britain. I hope you enjoyed the views on the coastal road from Aberystwyth to Aberaeron , the views are beautiful. Now on to pt.2
We have not done a history check. Maybe in the future. We did enjoy the beautiful country and coastal roads. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Chris and Jess.
I recognised the road you were on instantly! I've travelled it thousands of times, in fact I've found some film of me on this road. A UA-camr called Richard Jones posted a short clip titled "24/10/15, Loosemores Holdup Middleton" which is just after the Seven Sisters. That's a lovely, well appointed AirB&B, The deep ceramic sink is called a Belfast Sink, If there's two things in abundance in Wales, it's castles and slate! If your feeling really adventurous there's an old slate quarry near Ffestiniog with the longest zip wire in Europe.
Glad we could bring you along to where you know. We enjoyed it all and yes we did see an abundance of castles and slate. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Chris and Jess.
Hi guys, another nice video. When eventually you have to return to the U.S. and have “settled down” we hope you will often think about us and maybe return one day. Best Wishes xx
We absolutely love and will cherish our time and definitely miss our experiences here. England will always hold a special place in my heart forever. We appreciate your time and thank you for all of your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
💯! I agree and appreciate your recommendation. Those are definitely on our list. Thank you for your time watching. Hope you have a wonderful day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
I love the fact that you're grabbing the chance to see more of these islands, even during a drab winter. And especially so for Wales. I currently live in the east Midlands of England and regularly visit places like Cornwall, the Lake District, the New Forest, the Scottish Highlands, etc., etc., but you've reminded me that I don't visit Wales often enough. Keep up the good work. :-)
Oh, most definitely can not sit idly by and let this beautiful time we have here go to waste. We appreciate your kindness and your recommendations. We have an ever growing list of places to go see. Thank you so much for your time! Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
You have shown me so much of my country that l didnt know and you are so kind about the UK. I love your thoughtful videos, love to you all from London ❤❤
We absolutely love being able to share in our appreciation of this wonderful country! We all appreciate your support and all of your kindness. We hope you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Hi guys at 1:24 you drive past the turn for Pecknall ( near Shrewsbury), my father in law lived down that road about 1/4 mile. I stayed with him for a month after I left the RAF in 1997 as I had a job. Later I found a house and moved the family up to the area, and although I have moved around a bit still live in the county.
That's pretty awesome we are able to communicate with the people that live or have lived in the road that we travel over here. Glad we could bring you along for the drive. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers Chris and Jess.
Wow, great video. Beautiful countryside and imposing castle ruins - fantastic looking, even in winter, I envy you your break! Brings back memories of long ago holidays in Wales. As doubtless you know, the country’s blessed with a magnificent coastline too.🙂
It was such a wonderful adventure for our entire family. We're so thankful to be able to take you all along with us. We absolutely love exploring over here. There is nothing quite like seeing something new and experiencing something you've never experienced before. Also, being able to share that with people who live here in the UK or live in the United States or elsewhere. We appreciate you and all of your kindness and support. It really means so much to our family! We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
It is so nice to visit new places. I am not familiar with this part of Wales at all. The castle tour was most enjoyable. I felt a bit uncomfortable higher up, as you did Jess. I could not have managed to go up there. Thanks for the great views. Mmm the Welsh rum sounds delicious. Looking forward to part 2! x
We are so glad that you enjoyed this Is first part of our trip! Oh friend, the castle was fabulous, and being the only ones there made it more exciting. I was super nervous, I'm not normally nervous with heights at all. Was definitely something that made me want to be on the ground for the remainder of the tour. We are so thankful that you were able to come along with us! Have a lovely rest of your day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We absolutely enjoyed our time and have already started planning our return trip.. There is just too much to see and not enough time. We appreciate your time and support. Hope you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Great video, sharing your journey and exploration with us. I’m from N Wales originally (Wrexham). Love travelling home to visit and miss it. Compared to US distances, heading back to Wales isn’t that far - but the traffic makes it take much longer! Look forward to part 2
Thank you so much for coming along with us. Wales is just so beautiful! Part 2, Im working to be finished editing for this Sunday! The place you call home is so magnificent! We all look forward to our return trip to Wales. We appreciate your kindness and time. Hope you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
How cool that would have been nice! Thanks for sharing. We truly had the best time exploring. Thank you for your time and kindness! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Since you are interested in sheep do try to get down to the Gower peninsula, just outside Swansea. That is where some of the poshest restaurants source their lamb and mutton, as the herbs in the salt marshes there give unbelievable flavour. But best of all is hogget, which is one year on from being a lamb. Wonderful meat, packed with flavour. You can get their wonderful lamb etc in the pubs and restaurants on the Gower, at no great premium to any other less blessed food!
So glad you enjoyed wales, at 1 point on your journey you passed within 300 meters of my childhood home, and around 50 meters from the land that we rent, on which we grow a lot of our own food. Small world. 😀@@DaydreamersBarn
@jukeseyable how cool! It's just so awesome that we loved the area and look forward to going back! Thanks for sharing and watching, friend. Hopefully, you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
we are very blessed here in mid wales the softness of our rolling green hills contrast markedly with the more austere ruggedness beauty of the north (Snowdonia), and further South in the Brecon beacons. but for some reason we dont have national park status, unlike the other areas I mentioned. But in Powys, the county you drove through for a lot of your journey, we are the least densly polulated county in the whole of the UK. Even the scottish highlands have a greater population density than we have here in Powys @@DaydreamersBarn
Thank you so much. We're so glad that you came along with us. We absolutely love exploring and learning new things. We definitely don't want to let any of our time here go without exploring/ learning. We are thankful to be able to share in our fun with you all. Hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Hi Jess. After seeing a video of yours complaining of bad headaches. Ive recently been put on something that states its uses and one was for grown up migrains. You may of tried it, But in case you havent here it is, Amitriptyline. My use is totally different area of the body, I am having leg and joint pains that im told is wear and tare due to the nature of my job. Good luck.
Thank you for watching and your wonderful recommendation! I will look into it. I definitely appreciate your time sharing something to try and help my migraines. I hope you have the most amazing day! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Wales is full of castles and curiosities. If you go in the spring, you could visit Portmerion which is an Italian village, I believe you can stay there but it will be pricey. A great ice cream shop to visit in North Wales is Cadwalladers. Caernarvon, Harlech, Criccieth and Conwy castles are all great to visit in North Wales. I have holidayed in North Wales a lot. I have also visited Pembrokeshire which is further south but only because I wanted to see where my dad grew up.
Thank you friend for the wonderful recommendation! I'm going to look into it. I truly appreciate your time sharing some lovely places to visit. We hope you have a great day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
I live on the otherside of that hill you can see at 2 mins. The dips you are going over on the road at 3 minutes are called the 5 sisters, there used to be 7 but 2 of them got flattened out. Next time go the otherside of Rodney's pillar to welshpool, its a much nicer drive.
Excellent video :), I'm sure you get lots of recommendations but here's another for the list lolol Coombe Abbey medieval banquet nights are really good (personal opinion much better than Warwick castle banquets).
Thank you so much. We're so glad you enjoyed it! We do get a lot of recommendations. We have an ever growing list of places we want to check out that people have recommended, like yours. We love and appreciate them all. Thank you so much for your time and your kindness! Have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Its a shame you didn`t visit Fountains Abbey and York castle in Yorkshire we have some wonderful history all over the UK i live in Yorkshire myself i would recommend summer time to visit here we have so much rain normally, I am really glad you enjoyed Wales it is a wonderful place as is Scotland and Ireland it is hard not to feel blessed with such wonderful historic sites here on my doorstep.
Yorkshire is definitely on our list of places to visit! We have some wonderful recommendations and appreciate your time sharing with us yours. We hope you have a lovely day! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We have our next trip in the works. Thank you so much for coming along with us and taking the time to leave us a complete. We appreciate you. Have a great day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x

Oh, sorry you feel we walked past it. We definitely didn't. We all stopped and gave thanks and appreciation. Chris didn't get it on film, unfortunately. He wanted to also truly be in the moment and honor them all. Thank you for your time watching and commenting. Our apologies. We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
What I like about your driving videos is your strict driving and understanding of our road system. What else would you expect from military i suppose. Glad you enjoy your journeys
We appreciate you. Thank you so much for coming along and being so very kind! We definitely try our best to follow the laws of the road for everybody safety. We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Amazing vacation vlog there Jess and Chris many thanks for sharing as always 👍 if you ever vacation in Devon or Cornwall in the summer you should either visit Penzance ( St Michael mount castle ) or Berry Pomeroy castle in Totnes Devon or powderham castle in #exeter it’s own by Charles Courtenay who was married to AJ Langer who was a former American actress. As always i truly look forward to your future amazing vlogs 👍

Wales has lots for beautiful places including Tenby, with its awesome breach and old buildings the Brecon Beacons, mountain range, and the unique Port Marion as well as lods more castles and sheep. As others say it looks better in the hot sunny weather 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑👍
You can find them using this link for AirB&B air.tl/BQoufo7V ,or you can find them on Facebook at facebook.com/arthvalleyretreat . They were so kind and took great care of us!
I am so pleased that you got away from the East of England. It is great but too flat for my taste. Wales was a great choice. Try the Cotswolds for magical villages.
It was a fabulous trip, and we can't wait to explore even more of what this beautiful island has to offer. We also love to share it with you all. We hope you have a wonderful day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Hundred percent on the list! I am planning so many amazing adventures to share with you all. I absolutely love it. We appreciate your kindness and support, friend! Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x

We do our very best not to speed anywhere over here. Thanks for the heads up though, if we are ever back there we will be mindful. Cheers Chris and Jess.
There were mentions of two great nobles: the Lord Rhys, one of the last native princes of South Wales, and an ancestor of the Tudors; and one of the greatest nobles in UK history, William Marshal, Earl of Pembroke. As a child, and a hostage, William's ruthless father refused to give up rebelling against King Stephen. They took the small child along to the King's tent for him to be executed, but they later discovered the King - who had a reputation for mercy - playing with the child instead. Tournaments in those days were very rough battles. William was the greatest tournament fighter of the age, and often succeeded in winning the warhorses and armour of defeated knights- vety valuable for a penniless younger son. He got into the service of King Henry II, and went on a Crusade to the Holy Land; he came back with innovative ideas in castle architecture. Henry II in his last months, a sick man, was being chased by his son and heir, Richard. In spite of the fact that this was the heir to the throne, William wheeled and defeated Richard - himself one of the greatest warriors of the age - and slew his horse. When Henry II died, William and Richard I made up; Richard I realised his loyalty. William was given a great heiress to marry, which is probably why he got Cilgerran. ( He was 43, she was 17; but they got on! ) And he was active. Richard I, seeing William storming a castle - in his 50s! - commented that William was surely too old for this... But when Richard I was succeeded by the unpleasant King John, William rather retired from public life. In 1215, the Barons having revolted, John did a deal by signing 'Magna Carta', which is a desperately important document, essentially saying that the King is not above the law. King John hadn't the slightest intention of sticking to it. But the following year John died. John realized that the Guardian of his 9-year old son, had to be an honest man, so William Marshal became the Guardian of the Realm. Immediately William reissued Magna Carta, so this is why Magna Carta has become one of our most important constitutional documents, for both England and the USA. In all this, the French King' son, Louis, had invaded the country. In his 70s, William defeated him in 1217. He died in 1219. He was given the prestigious post of Marshal, which I think means he was in charge of the horses. Not hereditary then, the post now is. The post is now that of Earl Marshal of England. The postion is now held by William's descendant, the Duke of Norfolk, who therefore played an important part at the recent Coronation. All because the man was tough and honest!
Thank you so much for that wonderful history and I absolutely loved reading it. I really appreciate your time sharing this with us. We hope you have a wonderful day.
The castle is called - Cilgerran Castle It was a fantastic, wonderful place to visit highly recommend. Thank you for your time. Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
As I've mentioned before - a bit too much time is devoted to footage of driving along main roads. We would much prefer you use that footage time to reveal you guys enjoying yourselves at the many interesting locations
That distillery you visited was formerly The Gogerddan Arms and in the 70s as a kid I used to love watching the hunt meet there ready to set off. Making a fuss of the hounds would leave you stinking!
How cool! Thank you so much for taking the time to share more about the distillery and what it was back in the day. We appreciate your time, friend! Cheers 🤍 Jess & Family x
Back in the days when the king was all powerful if he did not like you he would descend with all his retinue which could be hundreds. You were expected to feed them and their horses and keep them. doing this the king made you bankrupt and then he confiscated you property or castle to give to someone he favoured.
Noticed a Mixer Tap in the kitchen I've bought a few houses over the years changed the kitchen in each one always put a Mixer Tap in .Don't know why they fit Hot and Cold taps in new houses 🏘 still .
I'm very interesting thank you for the information. Truly appreciate your time, and thank you so much for watching. Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Haha, it was nice to low down and enjoy the villages at a much lower speed. Thank you so much for watching! We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
The majority of us are quite happy with our government; it’s not perfect, but at least we have one that actually gives a damn about its citizens and tries to make the country safer, cleaner and better for all. What we (along with Scotland and Northern Ireland) absolutely don’t deserve is the incompetent, corrupt, lying English government imposed on us by voters in your country. HTH.
i came to wales at 13 to live with my father from my native American Choctaw nation i love it great history culture and people i learnt welsh and taught my welsh relatives some of my native American Choctaw language,
I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for sharing! Wales definitely holds a special place in our hearts! We hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Wow, that’s amazing.
Where in Wales do you live?
Da iawn Chdi👍🏴🏴
That's really cool, have you heard of the legend of Prince Madoc? Some believe he sailed from Wales to North America before Columbus and even believe he settled there and integrated with some of the native American people.
You should see Wales in the summer when there are leaves on the trees.

Kind of like a roller coaster! Reminds me of being a kid and dad driving us through the Welsh countryside, anticipating our first glimpse of the sea.

Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
another great video ive lived here all my life of 53 years and not seen all this so its even new to me!!!
We're so happy we could take you along. Thank you so much for your support and kindness! Have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Well done for finding one of the less well-known, and certainly less visited castles. Wales has so many hidden treasures -more please!
That sounds like a great recommendation if we are ever back that way, hopefully we are. Cheers, Chris

It is just so wonderful to be able to explore this beautiful place and share with you all.

Interesting vid guys. I love having a look around old castle ruins and I've not seen that one before, certainly one of the lesser known Welsh castles.

Another great video, very pleased you are exploring the 4 corners of the UK and hitting our too often missed beauty little cousin Wales, because Scotland and Ireland better know to visitors. Wish my Welsh place name pronunciation sounded as good as yours👍

When I was driving in Welsh Wales couldn't work out what the araf slow sign in road was then found out araf is Welsh for slow so sign in English and Welsh 😅❤

The thing about spiral staircase is it make hard for attackers to swing there sword but easier for the defender to swing there swords.

🤍 Jess x

That sounds like a great experience. Not to mention, delicious. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Chris and Jess.
That Castle was high up, I got jelly legs just watching it.
Same did you see me (Jess)... I was like, wow, that's crazy!! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
So glad you enjoyed wales, at 1 point on your journey you passed within 300 meters of my childhood home, and around 50 meters from the land that we rent, on which we grow a lot of our own food. Small world. 😀@@DaydreamersBarn

we are very blessed here in mid wales the softness of our rolling green hills contrast markedly with the more austere ruggedness beauty of the north (Snowdonia), and further South in the Brecon beacons. but for some reason we dont have national park status, unlike the other areas I mentioned. But in Powys, the county you drove through for a lot of your journey, we are the least densly polulated county in the whole of the UK. Even the scottish highlands have a greater population density than we have here in Powys @@DaydreamersBarn

( He was 43, she was 17; but they got on! )
And he was active.

Nice to see the old sod again! I wonder why you and so many Americans want to say Wales as Wells?
I suppose it is an accent thing. Cheers, Chris
@@DaydreamersBarn But only one of you does it and you both appear to have the same accent?
The stairs in an old castle are a bit hard to climb

Wow, thank you for sharing! We appreciate your time. Hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x

Wales is lovely but doesn't deserve it's government
Yes it does.
@@bujin1977 lol
Do you mean being governed by the foreign government in Westminster (England)?
Some of its elected leaders are twats , that's what I meant ,
The majority of us are quite happy with our government; it’s not perfect, but at least we have one that actually gives a damn about its citizens and tries to make the country safer, cleaner and better for all. What we (along with Scotland and Northern Ireland) absolutely don’t deserve is the incompetent, corrupt, lying English government imposed on us by voters in your country. HTH.
