Pro Tip: When using that tool, mark you first hole, drill it and then fasten to the tool to the part with a Cleco. Set you spacing and cleco another hole and the cleco will hold the tool in perfect position to lay out the holes.
That is genius, great tool for sure. Thanks for showing it to us. I never knew such a tool existed but it would definitely make any job with rivets, screws or bolts look much cleaner without all that measuring and figuring out the correct spacing. Nice work Brother.
Hey man how would you go about making one of these tools? So Im trying to making one 6" long and 11 points. Im going to use it for perspective drawing.
hey man , i enjoy your videos thanks for making them !!! i was wondering if you can make a welding positioner (diy) if you have time low cost lol , you have the patience and understanding how to explain things lol , i started to tig weld @home and i would like to make one (new @ fabricating ) i have been welding for a while (work ) but we don't fabricated we weld pre-made things, thanks man ,have a great night
I use an elastic tape rule. No, I haven’t lost my marbles. It’s a piece of elastic marked in equal spaces ( about an inch, but as long as they are all the same it doesn’t matter. Fix one end with the first mark where you want the first hole. Count off the number of holes you want and fix the elastic to where you want the last hole. Mark off on your sheet the corresponding hole positions. The big advantages are that you can have any number of holes you want and there is no tool left sticking out where space is tight. Secondly you can lead the elastic around a curve to maintain the hole pitch round bends and thirdly it’s cheap.
Ever had the rivet fan bind up and not want to spread easily? Mine won't move at all and I was wondering if anyone had the same issue. Lubrication does nothing.
Hm, maybe it would be even better, if there was one of the rivets on that tool replaced by a for example a rivet nut and a wingscrew, to lock your spacings and make it a nobrainer
If I win the lottery I'll buy one and put 10000 rivets on a Ferrrari just to troll Speedhunters... good god the fashion these days! ''I get it on rods and custom stuff''
Yep a Japanese tuner "Liberty Walk" has pretty much riveted glassfiber arches to everything you can think of, that has started a snowball effect and now everyone's doing it...
Great tool, thanks Kyle! Amazon is still sold out, but I found the tool on SkyGeek.com. It came today, took about 2 to arrive. www.skygeek.com/ats-fs02.html

A 5 minute video instructions that two and half minutes of it is just BS. Is there a contractual obligation to make it longer than necessary?
