@@phancypants1892 Haha I hate repairing these but I do it like this all the time when I have to. I have more videos for miniblind repairs...just go to my main UA-cam channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to mini blinds or something like that & you will find more videos for more learning if need be. Take care!
Similar problems with the broken drive shaft above the hook snapping. Points to note: it’s cheap plastic and won’t last forever, if it has air bubbles in the plastic cast, like mine, these weaknesses will fail under repeated stress, the mechanism built is for light mechanical or negligible resistance from turning, so any damage or imparting dirt will focus on this point of failure.
Good idea. It worked.
Awesome! This was part one so did you need to watch part two too? I hate working on miniblinds but at least I made this one work again....

Yes probably & one day this blind will fail but for the time being I made it work. Thanks for stopping by!
I used gorilla glue for the hook that somehow came loose from the top of the wand..no rhyme or reason for how it happened!
I hear you. Nice job with using the gorilla glue....whatever works right?
I can't believe i finished the whole 8 min video without finding the final result.. What a waste of time.
Did you read the video title? It says part 1 so of course there is a part 2 as well...! Keep watching...you're learning as you're watching!
What the hell happened to the rest of the video?
Ha! I made more than one part to this video series. Go to my main UA-cam channel page then click on playlists then scroll down to find them. Thanks!
