Glue a long lanyard on the back that will clip to the steering wheel. Can’t forget about it if you have something hanging from the steering wheel when try to drive it.
I just left a cheap one in a vehicle I went to buy last night. That's like the 4th one I've lost. I want this one vs a tablet style but afraid of forgetting it again lol.

Yes, it’s free for the first year or two then it’s $50/year. Well worth it.
Now I know why you handed it to Fred already connected and setup. Had to be the worst user experience ever with OBD. All the hoop jumping only to find out it could see an error was thrown in my fuel injection subsystem but would not show me the code. Said not supported - means it couldn't lookup an english translation for the code. At least show me the code number. Hopefully you guys get some value, otherwise absolutely love the channel. 2002 Honday S2000, in case you are wondering - says it is supported
I sometimes have to update the software/app, but I guess it should have prompted you to do that.

Sure...if you pony up another $60!...which makes no sense as u could simply buy a new one for the same amount!
@@ahighervibe4086 No, incorrect. It will work without any updates, indefinitely. The updates aren't a subscription, they simply update the thing to be able to work with new cars that released since you last updated it.

I do wish more companies would do what Edison Motors does and not only include the fault code on the display. They explain what it is and the parts involved and the part numbers needed for the parts in question. I guess that is what happens when some loggers decide to make their own electric truck.

I was unable to load the app by any means despite having an Android 11 phone. Also unable to connect to device via BT. My support ticket of December 19th and subsequent contact attempts remain unanswered. Just want to end this fiasco at this point and get my money back. Looks like I will have to go to my credit card company to get my money back.

@@royanderson1429 Found out that your device has to be running in 64bit mode. or the app won't load. Nothing you can do except buy a newer device that runs Android 7 or better in 64bit mode. At no time during my long struggle with TopDon customer did they ever mention that, until the very end. They finally mentioned the 64bit requirement after I was already so mad at them that I didn't care any more. I still have the scanner, still haven't used it.

Get an obd 2 extension cable that will help for not forgetting it in a vehicle
Do you have to pay every year in order for this OBD reader to work ? If you dont pay does that still work ? Do you need to have internet to used it ? If you don't updates does that still work without updates ? Out from the box can you used it without wifi or internet ? Can this scan for Fuel Pressure ? And can this scan for compression test ? Is this a Complete diagnostic Scan tools ?does it Scan from 1996 cars going up ? How about Toyota Camry 2001 2.2 Liter 4 Cyl or Buick Park Ave 2003 3.8 Liter does it Scan these cars ? Does this scan for battery ignition parameters ? Does it Scan for a bad head gaskets ? Is this the latest version 2024 ?
