Hello Martino. For many people this is the life-story of an ongoing, perennial, I would say, just like many houseplants, struggle between opposing views, concepts, desires, proclivities, you name it. Who am i, WHAT am I? Is there a purpose in my existence? What is it? Where do I fit in the mechanism of the Universe, of Reality? And above all, WHY? My reaction to a homeless mind that can find solace nowhere, not even in the expanse of philosophical thought... ha especially NOT there... PS: Fortunately for my character in his short play, acceptance and peace soon arrived. Arrivederci, Martino
Perhaps too simple, all there is to use your ability and skills as much as you can, and be kind when you can, tough when you must. And as my father would say, respect but suspect.
What percentage of the homeless fall into this category? This should be the easiest type of homelessness to solve. Willing and able to get a job and seek some help but need support and temporary housing assistance. How much financial support are the parents willing to provide? The obstacle here from a betterment of society point of view is that working with these people is expensive and time-consuming. But if we can do it early in their homelessness journey, before any addiction issues arise, this person may have a shot at a decent life.
