I've been waiting for this one, one of my all time favorite series on this channel. As far as investing, imo i think most cheap QCRS will be a good investment long term when the 25th stamp is finally gone and ppl want to master set the QCRs from this era. Just my opinion, dont kill me lol. edit: WOW lmao, i just got to the part where you said the same thing i said hahaha. I just couldnt believe it.
the single cards from the kaiba briefcase would have been a good one to scoop up when they first came out and a bunch of them were going for like 5 bucks a piece. they have pretty much all increased in price dramatically edit: I also think from my limited understanding of mathematics that cheaper cards are probably a safer investment since theoretically a cards value can't go any lower than a single cent, but any increase will be an exponential one, whereas with a card you bought for like $100 bucks or more, even if it goes down to $50 (still a relatively expensive card) you've just lost half the cards value
I do enjoy watching these as a investor and a collector. Ruxin, you should do 1k on pokemon too, do it live and have some of your viewers contribute and vote on some cards too, would be fun to watch, probably would do better than yugioh too!
I’d say OG 1st Ed cards would be the best investment, but that’s what i collect so maybe i’m not the best source. Nostalgia adds value, at least that’s what i tell myself 😂 appreciate the interesting content Ruxin!!
I would suggest heavily investing in QCRs for reasons you already listed such as they will no longer be printed and arguably highest rarity for many cards.
Instead of putting the name in the spreadsheet and manually looking them up, have you considered either 1. Copy pasting the name directly from the top of the tcgplayer page of the correct card so it auto puts the right one or better yet 2. Putting a hyperlink to the correct page? That way you don't need to look, you can just click and it shows the card
I can see the LOB reprints in QCR doing well. Some sealed product is also a good shout IMO, I’m thinking some boxes of Bonanza. SDK Blue Eyes QCR is surely worth a punt.
11:50 as funny as it is that petit moth will be a QCR in Stampede, if I pull that card in a box (assuming ratio is the same as bonanza ~ about 3 QCRs per box for the nostalgia cards), I will feel nothing but rage.
I think you should invest in some QCRs from the nostalgia subset in Bonanza for sure, can’t imagine those would go anywhere but up for at least a little while!
Last night I went to this sports card store and they had a PSA 5 Shadowless Blastoise for $88. After quickly checking eBay that seemed like a really good deal.
I reckon you invest in a historically popular format that could at some point get the Edison treatment. HAT format maybe, or the format between Shaddoll, Nekroz and Satellerknight (with my faves Qliphort as a stun..). Only other option is high rarity old archetypes which have yet to have a structure deck but often get new support...Gravekeepers I'm looking at you and your Ulti Necrovalley👀
QCRS are nice to invest in, but too general for an opinion on what to buy. I am more old school Yu-gi-oh (DM to 5Ds) so something from the Anime that is still playable may be the way to go. A Cyber Jar QCR may be a nice option since it went from limited to semi-limited.
The QCR's that have alternate art will be pretty expensive if the artwork doesn't get reprinted, or reprinted in QCR. The ones I own have been steadily going up in price since I pulled them a month ago. Specifically, I have House Dragonmaid, Dragonmaid Hospitality, and Sky Striker Ace Shizuku alt art/QCR's, and they've all gone up by like $10 since I pulled them.
I think QCRs will definitely see a little bump as soon as they’re gone, then long term hopefully they hold or go up as well considering they’re never being reprinted 💪
This game is a terrible terrible investment lol I like these videos still but man yugioh has got to be one of the least reliable investments out of the big card games.
Reminder to the average player and collector that these cards are doomed to lower in price. And, unlike stock prices which are predicated on company's value increasing, yugioh cards are specifically designed by konami with the end goal of being less relevant and therefore cheaper over time. They should not be treated as investments. No matter the meta, it is safe to assume any given card will only drop over time. This is super fun to watch, especially given all of the above combined with Ruxin's (incredibly funny) ignorance of the current meta. Now, all that said, Ruxin's unique position in being a content creator allows him to benefit from these purchases in a much more effective manner, and this should under no circumstances be mimicked by people trying to actually make money.
When I look at Bonanza and I see that qcr caius is already kinda pricy, it shows that people like qcr. I think qcr will go up over time cause it just looks really shiny and nice (assuming they actually don't reprint it)
If I am investing, I would invest in the cheaper QCR cards while also making sure that I do like those cards. That way even if the value decrease, I would still keep the card for my own collection. I think QCR cards should increase in value once enough years went by.
chaos angel from the dueling mirrors went up. glad i got one while it was cheaper. still want to pull one without having to buy a single again...after over 2 cases, still didn't get it
Don’t “invest” in modern cards of any game. The only thing modern you could “invest” in is probably sealed product. If you have money to throw away in TCG stuff get the old and limited things. Even if it’s more expensive now it’ll likely hold its value better than anything new
Edison cards are probably a good bet going forward. Maybe stuff for hat format too. I would put my money on high rarity lightsworn ryko. Like QCR ryko.
Depends on what ones deems by worth it"value wise" depends on card how many reprint are of said card. I only buy cheap QCR I want to run in decks I find them overall impressive but I do bling out decks so if it's that or a super or ultra naturally I'll choose the rarity upgrade. Also depends on price, how many other variety are available and price comparison. QCR could be a long term investment or may not only time will tell
The QCR should not be reprinted, but then they will do 30th anniversary with the same texture foiling just like the 20th for the OCG, so should 25th be really considered a good investment?
Gotta invest in cards that have never been reprinted. Other cards might be blacklisted like air neos but people havent noticed because they arent anime cards.
How can you not consider investing in Petit Moths? Haha... SP Little Knight would be nice, although it's been reprinted into oblivion now... maybe a nice cheap pickup later in the year
I feel like investing in singles is a bit too much of a crapshoot, even higher rarity copies, but I'd bet that nostalgic/meta staple QCRs for example would be safer bets imo.
I think qcrs so as long as they don’t just come Up with a new rarity this year or next will eventually be very sought after down the road invest in those!
Who would’ve guessed investing in mid max rarities for staples and highly reprinted cards wouldn’t be lucrative. But regardless, there’s a reason most of the collector scene left the game. Konami loves shooting them in the feet.
I've been trying to buy S:P Little Knight at $5 3 times now and every time the order never arrives However, I purchase any other random card and they all arrive without issue

I think you can absolutely invest in 3 things. First sealed product (the best sets of the year), second, nostalgic QCRs, and lastly, ultimate rares
This but with the S&P 500 😂
Little D is pumping 🤣

would you ever do this but for pokemon cards? maybe $500 instead of a thousand?
That would be on his Pokémon account
@@princemarkanthony500 At first I thought you meant Ruxin had a Pokémon channel. I'd watch that!
He does, it's in the video description under social media links 👀 @@YGOdex
@@NamNguyen-di9lj I always skip over the social links 😅 good to know!
I’m simple, i see ruxin upload, i watch ruxins upload

Isn’t Collectr the exact tool for this stuff? 😮
Great video as always!

QCRs will explode in value in 5 years time
I doubt it..but I guess we'll see.
LOL good meme
It will.. it’s so obvious. Plus he bought high with these cards. Basic investing is buy low, sell high
With how many and how much they've printed I doubt it but
@@caleykruse9852you gotta go for the obvious key prints…

Invest in Magia
Magia will drop in value dramatically when it gets reprinted.
The QCR's that have alternate art will be pretty expensive if the artwork doesn't get reprinted, or reprinted in QCR. All qcrs have potential especiallt cheaper ones but Konami is always gonna ruin the value down the line with a new type of reprint
I think QCRs will definitely see a little bump as soon as they’re gone, then long term hopefully they hold or go up as well considering they’re never being reprinted 💪
2025 Investments should be put into starlight’s, I think they’re gonna be the only thing that holds value really.
Great content Ruxin!
Might I suggest Red-Eyes B. Dragon (Ghost Rare) for this year
As a viewer, this is pike half market watch and half fantasy football. I love it!
I think quarter century rates will be a good thing to invest in I think they will drop at first but then go up in value as the years go on
I’d say Ultimates from Zexal and Arc-V era are worth giving some investment toward, especially the OTS ultis
I'm thinking that QCRs for the OG and nostalgic cards will go up in the coming years (I hope)!
This game is a terrible terrible investment lol I like these videos still but man yugioh has got to be one of the least reliable investments out of the big card games.
ikr, a lot of cards I bought that where between 5-15 bucks (I know not that much) are now literally 10 cents due to reprints, a pretty bad value drop.
Reminder to the average player and collector that these cards are doomed to lower in price. And, unlike stock prices which are predicated on company's value increasing, yugioh cards are specifically designed by konami with the end goal of being less relevant and therefore cheaper over time. I think combing through QCSRs and finding potentially undervalued cards are the way to go for investments.
The loss in value of the starlight market due to QCR reprints is literally painful. As a whole, Yugioh took a dump.
Im not an expert, but I think investing in the classic first edition cards is the way to go. Thanks for the video!
Always love the tcgplayer vids.
When I look at Bonanza and I see that qcr caius is already kinda pricy, it shows that people like qcr. I think qcr will go up over time cause it just looks really shiny and nice (assuming they actually don't reprint it)
You should definitely invest in Black Luster Soldier QCR from Bonanza - the card looks just stunning
If I am investing, I would invest in the cheaper QCR cards while also making sure that I do like those cards. That way even if the value decrease, I would still keep the card for my own collection. I think QCR cards should increase in value once enough years went by.
chaos angel from the dueling mirrors went up. glad i got one while it was cheaper. still want to pull one without having to buy a single again...after over 2 cases, still didn't get it
Always cool to see how the market develops over time😅
You should invest in QCR’s and see how much money you get Ruxin34. Plus I like watching your TCGplayer videos
Yeah just buy out Caius and BLS so it can sky rocket 🚀 s
@ sure
So that when they all get reprinted again we can witness the downward spiral of wasted investments. That sounds like a great idea...🤪
Don’t “invest” in modern cards of any game. The only thing modern you could “invest” in is probably sealed product. If you have money to throw away in TCG stuff get the old and limited things. Even if it’s more expensive now it’ll likely hold its value better than anything new

Man, this was a reality call for me tbh. I need to stop trying to make $ off collecting in ygo. Nostalgia got me and couldn't help myself.
The QCR should not be reprinted, but then they will do 30th anniversary with the same texture foiling just like the 20th for the OCG, so should 25th be really considered a good investment?
Pretty safe to say that ultis are the best investiment for now
What is the most accurate place to see value of cards? Is there an app you can take picture of them and it values them?
I do remember suggesting Mirage of Nightmare as some out of nowhere unban possibly but I should have picked Grass lol
Buy ANY QCR!! I agree I think they are cheap now but down the line when you can’t get them anymore the value should skyrocket
My mans hit em with the Rob Thomas. Real.
I think watching these "investment cards" plummet in value is a good thing. Cards being prohibitively expensive is a bad thing for a game.
You should get an sdk blue eyes unlim and some ulti from duelist pack kaiba unlim or 1st ed ❤
Maybe investing in magia type characters that come out this year, like the main card of a future set
I'm probably gonna hold on to those couple of QCRs that I own hoping they go up in value
Like many others, I also think that QCRs are good to invest into long term.
you should put links to the search for each card in your spreadsheet. it would make it a lot quicker so youre not manually searching every time
Love the idea in investing in some unique qcrs
You should invest in quarter century collections
The most of the QCR's because if this rarity will be gone after the next sets, it will sure go up in price :)
Gotta invest in cards that have never been reprinted. Other cards might be blacklisted like air neos but people havent noticed because they arent anime cards.
We investing in Magia homies? Love the content Ruxin!
I am not sure honestly since sets are unpredictable but maybe some of the old tins like 2002-2008 time span
It’s interesting to see how much the cards fluctuate over time
Feeling like QCRs will be solid since that rarity won’t be reprinted
Hmm i think the dark magician girls from rarity 3 might be a good pick.
lower end QCRs are definitely a good investment. a lot of them will go up
It's fascinating seeing the market shifts.
Idk what’s worth investing in. Most of what I’ve been buying lately is ghosts and old ultis cuz they’re my favorite😂
With the end of qcrs coming some are gonna spike up. Unless they replace them with something cooler.
Recently just got back into collecting the giveaway would be a great start to add new cards to my collection
How can you not consider investing in Petit Moths? Haha... SP Little Knight would be nice, although it's been reprinted into oblivion now... maybe a nice cheap pickup later in the year
Investing in QCRs now may not be a bad idea depending on how long you let it sit
This Silent Swordsman multi is so cool
I feel like investing in singles is a bit too much of a crapshoot, even higher rarity copies, but I'd bet that nostalgic/meta staple QCRs for example would be safer bets imo.
Not the starry Fiber Jar hahaha
May I suggest a low cost ETF tracking the S&P
I think qcrs so as long as they don’t just come
Up with a new rarity this year or next will eventually be very sought after down the road invest in those!
Anything popular in goat or Edison in its original high rarity printing might be safe!
you should pick up the QCR hand traps
Invest in qcrs!! Can't go wrong, some of those are already going up
Definitely the higher rarity cards should be more valuable over time!
Invest in qcr jinzo
I would invest in any QCR, if Konami does keep their promise and never reprint them again, value on those should go up over time
Who would’ve guessed investing in mid max rarities for staples and highly reprinted cards wouldn’t be lucrative.
But regardless, there’s a reason most of the collector scene left the game. Konami loves shooting them in the feet.
You should just spend the whole $1000 on bonfires🤣 what could possibly go wrong with that!
I think it's time to look at more QCRs for investment
QCRs. Can't really think of anything else. Which probably just means I'm bad at investing lol
Ruxin, invest in Broomy cards. Their gonna dominate even more than SP Little Knight in 2025 😂
Should invest in some QCRs and ultimate rares!
UTR Power Bond unlimited would be s good one to pick up
I've been trying to buy S:P Little Knight at $5 3 times now and every time the order never arrives
However, I purchase any other random card and they all arrive without issue
Any of the QCRs Rarity collections to invest into might be the best if they will no longer reprint them as stated by yugioh.. Hopefully Lol
I reckon investing in QCR cards is a decent idea!
QCRs will eventually be for collectors only. We need meta cards. You should start reading and look for the next popular hand trap.
It'll be worth it in the long run. Something something marathon not a sprint 😂
With QCRs over, I'm curious how their prices are gonna stay.
Babe wake up new ruxin video
Cyber Harpie lady retro pack reprint 😅hopefully
This videos are always fun
