No it definitely still works; you just have to make sure you hit both parts of W. It can help to input a movement commant towards them after you EQ, and make sure you start pretty close to them.
the thing is, samira may seem overpowered, but if she is behind she cant do anything... some of the meta adc's like seraphine and jhin provide utility with stuns etc. if samira falls off, if the enemy has a small advantage over her, she becomes useless. well until late game when you finish 4 items, then she will brrr the fuck out of you
