  • "Holnap" from Rómeó és Júlia with English subtitles
    Note: I don't speak Hungarian. I tried my best to subtitle the show using online translators, help from Hungarian friends, and lyrics from the other language productions of Romeo et Juliette. I'm more than happy to hear helpful comments about how I could make my subtitles more accurate, but please don't just bash them! Thanks!

    ...wow, the parents are much less sympathetic in this version then in the French version xD
    Either way, thank you for translating! It's great to see one of my favorite shows in another language.

    THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was looking for! Though, I wish they have filmed the three different sides better/more. =/ I feel like I miss a bit of Lord and Lady Capulet's staging/story.

      @@momo62575 Many parts of the song arent translated that well. They may be about the same, just used very different words. Like at 1:10 "So why are you crying and hanging your head?" Its actually "So why are you crying, it is (so) normal"
      But its also not easy to translate it word for word so its pretty good, just not exact
      (I not its really late but yeah 😂)

      Or right after (1:13) "You'll have your own castle and a happy marriage" is not what they are saying at all. It actually is: "There is a new happy life waiting for you"

      Yes, the translator used different words, cause it's not a mirror-translation, but the meaning is the same

      It's a little bit late but she does that because his husband doesn't find her attractive/seductive anymore and they find satisfaction/pleasure with someone else, probably with someone who is much younger :)

    what i never got is why is miss capulet making out with that guy?

    • @akashijamoka
      @akashijamoka 8 років тому +16

      Because she stopped loving her husband when he did nothing when her brother was murdered. And even before that, she was making out with a lot of man, there are a few references to that even in the beginning of the musical (in this version at least)
