On your last point about the tips. What is the norm for lunch/ dinner. Do you get a locals price in certain shops? I know in Hurley they’ll give 10% off for locals. 👏
Supply and demand is the rental problem with property owners steering towards the holiday/long term rental market. Spanish government looking to cap the rental as locals are being priced out. We found lidl great but sticking with uk mainstream food is more expensive than the UK. Clothes shopping is more expensive than the UK. But you gotta remember the corralejo high street shops are geared towards tourists. UK Council tax is TEN TIMES MORE expensive then Spanish IBA rates. Like for Like Shell Corralejo petrol station is 40p cheap for diesel than Shell UK price/litre. UK gas/electricity prices roughly running at £2- 2,500/ year! Most canary Islands don't have gas but aren't anywhere near UK prices.
We've just acquired irish citizenship/passports and WILL be renting UK properties out and moving to Northern fuerteventura ASAP not just because of the above points but because of the great climate, people, food and all round lifestyle.
I thought there was a Jack & Jones clothes shop in Corralejo?

Thanks again … always a good watch ….personally have always found Corralejo good value and my post-Covid trips although slightly more expensive still seem very much worth the money - bus travel, restaurants, bottled water, coffee shops, bars ,any non-imported food goods purchased at Spar , ice cream at Vrebacs. although flight prices and ferry prices have increased overall package trip prices seem stable ( have booked November and January at similar prices as previous trips)

Disagree with some comments - its very cheap in Fuertevntura in the supermarkets and clothes shops.

Not English as those two speak, only limited school English. I am dutch and frequent visitor in the Canarias, and always wonder why the UK people think everybody understands their cockney or posh English. What those two in the video are telling is for non UK people hardly identifyable as English. Imagine a Spanjiard..
