    Such a beautiful country, I still would love to go see it. I met a person from there years ago and fell in love with the descriptions of the country. Steph is an extremely talented person and hopefully will realize she can do anything she puts her mind too and do it artistically. I have a daughter like you and I wish I had half your talent. You 2 are doing an amazing job and I hope you the best and Be Safe!

    Très jolie le Monténégro de bien belles images. Un petit truc pour éviter de faire la lessive. Prendre un baril étanche de 20l type Blanc avec un couvercle rouge a visser. Mettre l'eau, le linge, la lessive et fixer le tout a l'horizontal a l'arrière du truck. Et ça lave mieux quand vous êtes en tout chemin. Bonne route ;-)

    GrizzlyNbear Overland - Is there a drum parking brake inside the rear disc? If so you might pull the disk off the axle and inspect inside. I would think if it was the the axle bearings it would be a constant sound. Instead of a clicking sound. I would get it to a garage with a lift so you can get all the weight off the axle and spin the drive shaft buy hand and listen for the sound that way. I am a mechanic in Texas but I am not familiar with Landovers. Please don't put tap on brake pads. It will just make a mess. Thank you for another great video. Safe travels.

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому +2

      Steven Gaskill thanks so much for all the advice. The brakes are just Caliper pistons and pads.
      The tape is not on the pads but between the piston and the back of the pads.
      The pads were really loose and rattling so we just put a layer of tape to stop the rattle.

    Beautifull scenery... Have you thought about looking into the hub? Seems you got easy access with the big nut in the middle.

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому

      Michiel Siegers we've had the hub open and halfshafts out. I'm really starting to think it's the spacer and and drive member metal on metal contact that's causing the issue.
      I've made a few modifications today so we'll see how it goes...

    Another fantastic post.
    Racking up the good karma with the clean up, seeing some stunning places, and professional-quality footage and editing.
    Is there any way to get rid of the very slight lag/stutter/framerate issue in the drone footage in your editing? That would take it over the top.
    Also the Australian half you will be glad to know that Russell Coight's 'All Aussie Adventures' is back on TV next week, and he's driving a Defender.

      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому +1

      El Rey that is huge news that Russell Coight is back on the telly and cruising in a Defender is even better 😁
      I'm still learning so much with the drone and for sure am still an amateur.
      Maybe I can play with the settings a bit...

    • @elrey8876
      @elrey8876 6 років тому

      Your cinematography and editing are top notch - great eye. Just wonder if the frame rate is lower than the rest of the footage, or something of the sort.

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому +1

      El Rey maybe that's what it is...
      I'll try do some research.
      I definitely can't claim any credit for the editing that's all Steph's hard work.
      I'm only the drone pilot and not even very good at that, I've crashed twice already. I'm surprised it still flies at all 😜

      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому +1

      Simon's Defender 90 😂 not that haircut unfortunately but maybe the next haircut...
      It seems the clicking may of been caused by my horrible mullet flapping in the wind and flicking the seatbelt 🤣🤣🤣
      The mullet is now gone and so it seems has the clicking...

    This might sound crazy but try rotating your tyres and see if the clicking is still there or has moved to where u have rotated the Tyre to. I had a similar clicking noise and it turned out to somehow be the rim/Tyre. The clicking disappeared when I changed rims/tyres....

    • @GrizzlyNbearOverland
      @GrizzlyNbearOverland  6 років тому

      Rob Mac Thank you. We are due for tyres rotation also so we will see. Since filming that video we did some little changes too. (In futures videos , but not fully fixed yet) we let you know how it went after rotation. Cheers

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому +1

      Rob Mac when we first heard the noise we had thought it sounded like it was coming from the rims...
      We did have the same rims on the last truck with the same camper and it never made the noise then.
      I'll rotate tyres in the next few days and keep you posted. Thanks heaps for the advice.

    • @robmacca67
      @robmacca67 6 років тому

      Leigh Dearle ok, if u were running them on your previous defender then it shouldn’t be the rims. I did notice when I ran the same rims on my other Landy that they still made that noise..... but I guess it’s an easy thing to eliminate at least

      Then when we solve this issue the next one will pop up.

      Owing a Defender is definitely a love hate relationship...

    Have you checked between your hub and spacer? might just be a bit of crap floating about in a recess. is it doing it the other side? have you spun the hub by hand with the wheel off to see if it does it with the wheels off? have you checked for play in your wheel bearings. just throwing some ideas out there hope it helps :0)

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому

      Gordon smith I'm open to all ideas mate and appreciate them all.
      I have had the wheel off and spacers checked for any debris. Also checked for movement in wheel bearings. Even had the bearings out on the worst one and all good.
      I'm starting to think it's the spacers and the drive member rubbing.
      The spacers had to be modified a little to fit over the Kam drive members. They are still quite a tight fit.
      Seen as though the noise only happens when it's really hot and car has been driving for an hour or more I think there maybe some slight expansion and the metals are rubbing...
      I'm going to try file the spacers out a little more.

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому

      I did spin the hub without the tyre and no noise.
      I think the weight of the camper contributes to the noise also.

    • @gordonsmith2741
      @gordonsmith2741 6 років тому +1

      if you want to rule out the spacers you could try removing them and seeing if it makes a difference over a short drive. Then if you still get the noise it'll be down the drive train abit more.

    • @leighdearle5965
      @leighdearle5965 6 років тому

      Gordon smith I did do it for a short time on the rear wheels.
      There was no noise so I then buffed the ID of the spacers back a fraction and reinstalled.
      It was ok for a bit but then noise came back. I had a close look and I think I can take them back a fraction more as they are still rubbing.
      I am due to rotate tyres so I might remove all spacers and drive for a bit longer to be absolutely sure like you suggest.
      It would be great if that's all it is 🤞

    • @gordonsmith2741
      @gordonsmith2741 6 років тому

      Hope you get to the bottom of it mate, if I think of anything else I'll message. With the spacers off on the front just watch out for your tyres rubbing on your inner wheel arches on full lock.
