Buggy was the underdog everyone celebrates, nobody saw coming, but just makes sense the more you think about it. Like, if Batman's roster has ever taught the world anything, it's that a hilarious but deranged and dangerous clown villian could never be contained in merely a single arc at the start of a series. Crazy clown villians are usually a big hit with audiences and this fact should surprise nobody at this point. lol

I never watched or read One Piece. Knew nothing of the characters except for Luffy's powers being rubber. Thought the show was amazing because it leaned into how awesome the characters were, and nothing was cringe because it was done with genuine love. Loved every character, the music was absolutely something else. Honestly One Piece fans should be feeling very blessed.

Man, I’m into a few fandoms, but none of them has this sense of camaraderie like One Piece. It really feels like an ever expanding crew. Definitely the least toxic of all for sure. The funny thing is, I still feel like a newbie, even though I started One Piece pretty much when it started (‘98/‘99), but I dropped off around volume 40 because it just felt too big to keep going. Only this year I started rereading it again and it’s awesome rediscovering the whole story. I’m only halfway through the Paramount War arc and while lots has been spoiled over the years I love discovering the story again for the first time but at the same time I feel like I just joined because of the hype 😂 it’s a weird position to be in.
