In exchange for upgradeable RAM, their maximum SKU available is the RTX 4070 Laptop GPU and pushing 130-140W into it yields... nothing much really. But yet it still is a compact powerhouse and there are some who just want it.

As a Singaporean, what 14 inch gaming laptop would you recommend? There's MSI stealth 14 but the battery may not be good. Razer blade 14 but pricey. I'm just wondering why there's no RTX 4060 G14 Zepherus in SG

its kinda funny how especially in the gaming and tech market we often judge people and alot on how much money beyond what someone personally find a product worth someone is spending
yet in some other areas like housing and cars we can straight up admire what someone has despite the fact they might have spend multiple times what your say car cost on theirs cause it looks amazing
i really want a razer blade one day
i dont care if its more expensive than my other option...to me nothing comes close to the design and i love the build quality so yeah...if you ask me i think the price is worth it because i love the design and built of it enough that i do consider it worth it in my opinion

I'm currently running a Blade 16 4080 and considering returning it for a 4070 Blade 14 as I love the form factor but I do a LOT of gaming on the go, can you speak to the performance on battery?
I was watching a live stream yesterday and I think the performance on battery was similar if you turn off the 30fps lock it just lasts like 45 minutes
Simply disable the nvidia gpu and use integrated amd graphics, battery lasts for a while like that...
Sorry - I meant the gaming performance on battery, not the battery performance!

I've got a Blade 16 with 4070 and I doubt the battery would last for an hour on boost mode, or whatever Synapse calls it. I keep it plugged up and only charge to 65% though.
I ordered the Blade 14 with 4070 yesterday and don't expect it to last more than 45 minutes on battery. Luckily I game from home. Imo, you wouldn't want to go down in battery size. I guess you could PD charge it, lower the refresh rate to 60, and keep the screen brightness low to squeeze out a bit more time. But you're probably better off going with a 18.
Hi i was thinking buying one of these 14inch razer with the 4070 in it iv got a bit of a over kill system that i only pay cs go, cod , age of Empires, warzone, i live in a 2 bed house and im gunna be a dad so my gaming room wont be there for long so gunna have to be around the house so need it even more portable i just want too know with the 4070 will it pay all those games and future poof going forward as it alot of money and my setup is a AMD 5900x (12 cores ) and a 3080ti desktop version so i know i may loose some performance but is it a massive difference or not really and its a good laptop or not and also this will be my frist gaming laptop ever always brought desktop but now circumstances have changed thank you for reading my problem

I was curious on the fan noise...I heard the Blade 14 gets super loud...airplane takeoff mode...

I love my Zenbook Pro 14 with a 100w 4060 and a 13900H, all metallic chassis and an OLED screen. Got it for 1600€ excl VAT in France, which I thought was a steal for the specs. Good build quality sound, great inputs, amazing screen and good temps. The fans are kind of loud when gaming but that's a given. Silent in normal use. It's a really good alternative to the Blade with even less of a gamery vibe when it comes to logos and the like.
Man I agree! My ROG zephyrus is much much cheaper, and have more upgradability, and the cooling is just better. ZenBook I heard it's pretty good too :))
You can get the 4070 model from Adorama for 2099 with an Adorama credit account. While still expensive that’s less than the QHD 4070 Strix G16

If you're open to video suggestions, could I recommend that you make a video about price vs. performance value in different laptop classes like gaming, productivity and/or price point, comparing laptops from current gen vs. older laptops? For instance, something like a 2021 Zephyrus G14 is significantly cheaper than it used to be, so it would be quite convenient to see a video comparing its value to more recent, similar laptops. I’d like to see more daily experience sharing for the RB14. Especially the battery life, because the design and the battery life are the two most important features that attracted me since 2020. And the noise level was much quieter than this year’s 53dB. It doesn’t feel premium to me any more if it’s just a small gaming laptop, it becomes a pricey but normal gaming laptop.

G14, Stealth 14, and now Blade 14. The 14-inch slim gaming laptop market competition getting more interesting. Finally Razer got Ryzen CPU too.
I'm currently using Legion 7 2021 and really happy with it. The only problem it's not ideal to carry around and bring to travel.

There's no way in hell I will ever buy a razer blade again... They screwed me too much. For sooo much money! I went with ROG zephyrus g15. I just had to delete all the bloatwares (armory crate) beng not even a issue anymore.

Exactly... What I was thinking. Ever razer blade model I had, bloated. Not even kidding! Even the stealth which I barely used for gaming with core. I got Soo ripped! But to be fair, I was getting into the PC world. Now I have g15 ROG no complains

For a Laptop saying 4070 doesn’t make Any Sense if you don’t mention the Power at which it Runs. 😂
If you want max performance you aren’t going to buy a 14 inch laptop to get it 😭
As mentioned by others as well, likely the fact that the Blade 14 caps out at the 4070 SKU this time around is because of the actual physical die size and space constraints of the internals. You now get removable SODIMMs but lose the potential of being outfitted with a 4080 and above SKU.
With regards to 4070 itself however, just like Dave2D mentioned, pretty much all 4070 gaming laptops will perform the same as all of them pretty much cap out around 100W-ish.
For more performance, you'll definitely have to look at the 4080 and above.

It's bad value and overpriced at 2800€. AMD 7940HS is affordable CPU, 4060 is only 8GB. Legion slim 5 and 7 are far better.
But they aren't 14 inches.
@@beefycroissant6485 14" Yoga Pro 9i 64GB RAM is also 3400€ (3718$). Are they worth it? You also loose numpad which is good for Blender.
