I hope to make something this beautiful in my lifetime. Thank you for this video!
Sacré boulot, super bien mis en scène, Bravo Greg!
Maravilloso trabajo Greg!
Gran trabajo!!
Gracias..
pues supongo que algun tipo de arcilla...
thank you. The clay that I use the most is sandstone of "Saint-Amand", it's a white clay with fine grog. But I try a lot of different clays. The clay in this video is a rich iron clay wihtout grog called "xing's clay"
Hi Greg. I have to say that im inspired by your work, so much to the point that i am planning to try my hand at bonsai pottery myself.
Thanks for the videos, keep them coming.
Why do you skip filming making the beads on the outside bottoms? 3rd one I have watched with same step missing.
probably because it's not very interesting imo. I certainly show it in other video like this one :

Un pot de cette qualité réalisé en 8 mn 30!!! Les japonais et les chinois ont du souci à se faire...😉😊👏👍
Exquisite! How did you add that detail on the sides along the bottom - the two half rounds - you didn’t show that. Were they extruded then added?
Yes exactly, extruded.
It's an old video, I show more detail on the recent. For example, you can see how I make the texture here ua-cam.com/video/tMuOglQ5DtQ/v-deo.html
@@Greg-ceramics Thank you! It’s really beautiful! Lastly, Im just guessing that you cut the bevel angle for each piece at 22.5 degrees for an eight-sided shape? If that’s the case, I may have to fashion one, unless you sell them?
Lindo, lindo , lindo trabalho.
I keep some secret ;)
Gracias
Will someone be able to say to me that it uses to stick every part? Thank you
Graciass...
Hi Greg, how do you make such clean lines around the bottom of the pot? The 2 line detail above the feet are so clean. Thanks!
Lindo 👏👏👏👏
the edges of the slab were not cut in an angle?
As there are 8 faces, the sides are cut at 22.5° instead of 45°, that's why we hardly see the angle. (and the poor quality of the video doesn't help to see well either 😅 )
The bottom is not angled, but I made this video 9 or 10 years ago, today I'll probably do it differently. 😆
Hello,
What type of tool are you using to make the little coils, I can't make it out in the video?
Great job.
do you need to add a glaze or anthing to the clay to make it waterproof, or if you don't will it become soft again if it gets too wet?
Hi Greg
Fantastic work. what clay do you mostly use.
That's fantastic job! Thanks for sharing
This is a beautiful pot 👍
Truly an artist.
Você mesmo os cozinha e deixam prontos?
This is dragging up a post from long ago. Do you have a video on how you did the texture?
not atm
I want one same to this. Where can get or buy
my shop, see description ;)
J'assemble quand la texture me semble appropriée.
@@Greg-ceramics pour toi ^^ c'est quoi appropriée ?? J'ai regardé vos vidéos et franchement j'adore!! donc oui ,je suis curieux ^^ Merci
Beautifully done!
So perfect.
Muito bom!! Para
Very nice.
Amazing! What did you use to texture the slabs?
Be creative, you can make textures with lots of things around you. For this one I just used a piece of broken plaster, sometimes I use an old piece of wood, a piece of bark, a pebble, etc ...
Great job !
how did you make your template ?
pen, rule, and paper
Grande greg !!!
Which kind of clay do you use?
stoneware
How long the clay parts need to get a little bit stiffer to start attaching them together?
it isn't a question of time, it can change with each piece depending on the weather, the humidity, the temperature, the humidity level of the clay ...
it's just done by feeling
