  • C & B Operations Precision Ag Specialist, Zackery Louwagie, walks us through creating a boundary track on a Gen 4 display on this episode of #TechnologyThursday. He provides us with step-by-step instructions on setting it up the technology, creating up A/B lines, and demonstrating how it works in the tractor in real-time. I wish with boundary you could create AB curve. I have not figured out how to do that if it is an option other than just keeping boundary track on. Would also be nice to have boundary from internal boundaries. So we have fields on hilly ground with alfalfa strips.

Guess that’s why they came up with Autopath, which does that. We have the same issue. Only other way I can think of doing it is creating a boundary track from the recorded boundary, then drive around it while dragging a chain or using something to make a physical mark in the ground that you can see and follow, then after completing the first lap, select AB curves and drive over the mark you make. That way you can smoky out the corners if you need to. You could then also record another lap and cut out some corners or smooth out some S bends too which would make it easier on something like a Boomsprayer to stop the wings from too much whipping around. But of course all this would take a lot of time and would need to be done for every different width piece of machinery you use. Which is why I still haven’t done it yet😕
