Dude, I randomly was thinking about old videos I used to watch, and then I remembered this! Man, I used to watch it multiple times when I was 9, reenacting and loving to rebuild my sets on the carpet and I haven't remembered it in so long! I'm now 19, and watching this just took me back years ago! I'm so glad that your videos are still up, as this was one of the key things I love doing when I was a kid! Thank you!
It got too dark? I heard that they cancelled BIONICLE 'cause of lack of sales (Which is stupid since this was considered one of LEGO's best toy line). BTW, I do hope they bring it back in 2015, and that they're not trolling us.
It was sales which they blamed on plot. Although not because it was too dark, but because it ended up WAAAY to convoluted for a younger kid to follow and find interest in.
Dylan Collins it was still selling fairly well actually, sure it was on a slight decline, but lego made a smart move in cancelling while they were still selling fairly well, that way they didn't end up with shelves full of toys no one wanted.
There was a combiner that was shown off in a Lego Club magazine, his name was Toa Jovan. He was the leader of a Toa team that tried to retrieve the mask of life, but failed and the entire team was wiped out... I think you can find the instructions on google or something (similar).
The Inika heads were made that way to follow the story, which depicted the faces under the organic masks were surgeing with so much power, there heads were bright as a becons.
Oh be still my beating heart. There's way too much nastalgia going on here. I remember when these were brand new. The lights in the weapons were CRAZY! Ahhh the good ol' days...
Matoro's weapon is more of a sword, and Kongu is suppose to be a crossbow which could double as a melee weapon, which is why you could place it another way like a gun. Hahli's is like a harpoon/harpoon gun thing, again like Kongu's crossbow you could attach it in two ways: a sword and a gun.
Maybe a little late but yes there were 1 or 2 combo. Models, only not in the instructions booklet. They were in the lego magazine. 1 was called toa Jovan and -I forgot the name or it never existed-. Same for the barraki: there was a dog like belast and the Zyglak...
Does anyone else happen to notice that the majority of rubber pieces were meant to be organic in the storyline? I mean, the krana, the kraata, and the Inika masks (which were explained as organic kanohi in the story).
I remember I had Matoro when i was a kid, now its lost. I have the 2015 pohatu, first style. I am looking to buy the ones I use to have, like Matoro, Hahli and Thok rom the piraka series.
You should have mentioned how kongu's crossbow thingy, can be attached horziontally to his hand, as to mimic shooting with it, rather than chopping with it.
The Inika head is like that to match the story. The red star transformation made their faces create a blinding light and the masks are the way they are because they are organic. They weren't an attempt at a new type of head.
I remember when these came out I used to see the ads on TV it was like I was four or five when these. Guys came out and I think I got one of these one I dont remember but I think I lost the pieces as well as on the xamosphres I think one the spheres wound up in the garage and ithink it just rolled it around the garage until it landed in a space next to the think my old worn out baby shoes
No, combiner models were basically killed off in 2006. However there were some combiner models shown in LEGO magazines such as the zyglak, the niazesk and others...
all the weapons are suposed to be the same of the toa mata....the fire sword for Jaller, the ...Kopaka's sword(?) for matoro, Onua's claw for Nuparu, one of Gahli's hooks fod Hahli, except for Kongu, who had a kind of bow and for Hewkii something like an axe ...weird XD
Kongu's weapon isn't a drill. It's supposed to be a crossbow or like a crossbow. They made it like that because his element is wind. Crossbows or just a bow I think just go with the wind element bionicles.
The Inika masks high key creeped me out. They look like creepy, organic things and that's not a good look for your heroic and mechanical heroes. They kind of make the Inika look like monsters.
If no one believes me that Kongu's weapon is a crossbow. Then look up Kongu or read his bio in the bionicle book called Makuta's Guide to the Universe. It's in the Inika section in the book.

Thank you!
2006 was my favorite year of bionicle any1 agree?
I agree
It was my 1st bionicle year, so it really is special to me. But My fave was, and will forever be, 2008.
I stopped buy Bionicles in 2006, and I don't know why... My fav. year is 2002 or 2003.
Inika will always be my favoret
DJ kim Me too :D
This toa team was pretty great but I agree the toa inika Kanohi mask are kind of weird but that what makes these Bionicle sets unique. :)
Loved these sets. Jaller and Kongu were my favorite Inika figures.
Same
The best inikas imo
2006 had some of the best Bionicles. The Titans were amazing, the Piraka looked cool, the Inikas were unique, and the titans... My God they were cool.
Also, Bionicle wasn't cancelled for being too dark, but there were a lot of reasons otherwise.

JayDayX116 It was selling decently, but not exactly well. It had been dropping consistently for the past few years before they finally quit.
They did bring it back in 2015 and then after after 2 years it was cancelledlol
I lost interest in 2008, the sets from that year looked bad
Dude bionicle inika was definitely one of my favorites.
Ah I remember these. Haha bionicle had given me great memories and definitely made my childhood better.
Bionicle was getting dark but that's what made it so good!
From what I read, the Red Star was actually a "sick-bay" built by the Great Beings where characters would go when they died. Quite strange
This is actualy the sets that got me back into bionicles
Yes there was a combo for inika. Only for the blue, gun metal grey/ blownish yellow, and black toa inika.
Yes, there was a combiner model, Jovan, the toa of magnetism, it cobined Hali, Hewkii, and Nuparu.
Oh and there was a combination model, but it was just shown in a lego magazine. Toa jovan, toa of magnetism.

This is around when I got into Bionicle. My first Bionicle was the blue one in the ocean series.
The Inika heads were made that way to follow the story, which depicted the faces under the organic masks were surgeing with so much power, there heads were bright as a becons.
Yours reviews are very detailed. keep up the good work!
I loved the inika heads. I believe the reason for them and the rubber masks was that they were supposed to be "organic" masks
Finally!!! I got my computer back and can watch your videos again. PS. You should review the Voya nui LEGO brick sets.
the combiner model was not in the consturtion manuals but in a lego magazine which i think was a toa of magnetism
Oh be still my beating heart. There's way too much nastalgia going on here. I remember when these were brand new. The lights in the weapons were CRAZY! Ahhh the good ol' days...
The new types of heads and rubber masks were also crazy. The lack of combiner model for this series was quite dissapointing though
Also Hahli's head always reminded me of a mustache goatee combo
the red star is a navigational satalight for Mata Nui`s original body.
Soon I'm going to get inika Kongu SUCH HYPE
Good choice
Kongus weapon is a cross bow and Hali's weapon is a hydra harpoon ( lights up green)
The head was like that because if you read the stories, it said that they're heads were glowing, and the masks were organic.
Kongu's weapon is a crossbow not a drill.
Maybe a little late but yes there were 1 or 2 combo. Models, only not in the instructions booklet. They were in the lego magazine. 1 was called toa Jovan and -I forgot the name or it never existed-. Same for the barraki: there was a dog like belast and the Zyglak...

What? No I didn't, thank you.
Really? Thanks
don't forget the squids for the mahri and the leeches for the makuta phantoka
Exactly!
I remember I had Matoro when i was a kid, now its lost. I have the 2015 pohatu, first style. I am looking to buy the ones I use to have, like Matoro, Hahli and Thok rom the piraka series.
Dang I remember 2006, The Piraka, then the Toa Inika, I got only 3 Piraka, but all 6 Toa Inika.
You should have mentioned how kongu's crossbow thingy, can be attached horziontally to his hand, as to mimic shooting with it, rather than chopping with it.
Toa jovan- instructions were in the club magazine in 2006
The Inika head is like that to match the story. The red star transformation made their faces create a blinding light and the masks are the way they are because they are organic. They weren't an attempt at a new type of head.
That’s great to know!
I really like that you are going to keep on reviewing and that you are NOT reviewing hf anymore :D .Keep up the good work ! ;)
i have nuparu but i wanna get jaller and hewkii..nice review!
I missed playing the game.
Bionicle Heroes?
That's what I miss playing.
actually there is a combination model for the Toa Inika if you combine Hukii Hail & Kongu they will form Toa Jovan Legendary Toa of Magitisam
Ive been waiting for this!
i think i remember as a kid being bummed out that they didn't have the moving technic gears and stuff on these guys
There was a combiner. Toa Jovan, with Hahli, Nuparu, and Hewkii.
once you've taken the weapon and zammer spheres out of the canister lid can you put them back?
I love the inkia they are my favorite:) I love your videos
I really liked these guys, when I was younger, these guys and the Piraka were the shit.
Man, I remember getting hahli when I was 6 it was great
I remember when these came out I used to see the ads on TV it was like I was four or five when these. Guys came out and I think I got one of these one I dont remember but I think I lost the pieces as well as on the xamosphres I think one the spheres wound up in the garage and ithink it just rolled it around the garage until it landed in a space next to the think my old worn out baby shoes

I agree mostly because of how a giant spider turned into a dragon.
same but i ordered them of eBay and i'm waiting for them to arrive!!!
The inika, my favorite year, and i end up building over armored inika moc
congu weapon is a bow?/crossbow type thing, you put the weapon so it sticks out in the same way as the arm
Jaller was my first bionicle
Had them all except Hahli :(
My favourite Toas ever.
the annoying thing is all my pieces are mixed up so it's a nightmare trying to rebuild them
Inika are the best
all the weapons are suposed to be the same of the toa mata....the fire sword for Jaller, the ...Kopaka's sword(?) for matoro, Onua's claw for Nuparu, one of Gahli's hooks fod Hahli, except for Kongu, who had a kind of bow and for Hewkii something like an axe ...weird XD
My favorite is Matoro!
I only had the black inkia but matoro was my favorite
get the book bionicle makuta's guide to the universe
Those "mata hands" were throwbot and slizer connectors
Toa Inika Weapons:Multi-shot Zamor Launcher
Jaller: Energized Flame Sword(s)(He was supposed to have two)
Hahli: Laser Harpoon
Kongu: Laser Crossbow
Hewkii: Laser Axe w/ climbing chain
Nuparu: Laser Drill, Great Claws
Matoro: Energized Ice sword
They had combiner models but not in the instructions
It wouldve been cool to have a movie of the inika mahri and the phantoka/mistika
Yes there was a combiner build
The combiner for the inika was jovan.
Kongu's weapon isn't a drill. It's supposed to be a crossbow or like a crossbow. They made it like that because his element is wind. Crossbows or just a bow I think just go with the wind element bionicles.
The inika heads and masks were to symbolize the idea that the masks fused to there faces in the lightning storm as a survival mechanism
Did you ever read the comics.
they aren't fused
please read the bionicle: ignition comics and return afterwards.
please read the bionicle: ignition comics and return afterwards.
Westen Allen Combs sorry, i had just read them not to long ago, my mistake
P.S. the inika shoulder pads are locked in place on the bottom hole
my favorite has always been matoro
You called Kongu Keetongu.
Facepalm...
lol
Toa Jovan was a combiner
Yes the inika had a combination model
is nuparu still a rlly good engineer as a toa mahri and tos inika
When you review Vezon and Fenrakk?
The Inika masks high key creeped me out. They look like creepy, organic things and that's not a good look for your heroic and mechanical heroes. They kind of make the Inika look like monsters.
I can understand Mahri Nui being darker than Voya Nui, but Karda Nui and the years following it weren't really ever as dark as Voya Nui.
dude fyi the red star is basically bionicle haven but it put people into new body but at the end the red star teleportasion system broke
My first bionicle was Roporak in 2005 (brown Visorak(those spider lookin things))
I started liking Bionicle after I saw the Mask of Light movie, but never got one until I got Toa Jaller.
I started looking BIONICLE when they returned in 2015.
+Isaac White that's good, logo's drawing new people into the franchise
+Isaac White *Lego
If you have the movies can you review them?
Considering that Kongu is a Toa of Air I thought of a leaf blower
My first Bionicle was Jaller.
13:44 it's KONGU not Keetongu.
Second, Kongu's weapon is a CROSSBOW not a drill. Otherwise, good review.
Yes, there was a combiner, Toah jovan
sweeet these ones were my favourites but i never had them =(
If no one believes me that Kongu's weapon is a crossbow. Then look up Kongu or read his bio in the bionicle book called Makuta's Guide to the Universe. It's in the Inika section in the book.
Thanks captain obvious. do you really think we're that dumb buddy?
Yes there is I forgot the name but it controls magnets
Where did you get those?
Wish I would have kept my hahli canister as that was the only Inika I originally got
I only had 4 of them (no Hahli or Jaller unfortunately)
I bought matoro online. Then I used his parts for a self-moc.
... Kongu's weapon is a crossbow... not a drill
A laser crossbow
there is a combiner with Axon,Brutaka and vezon and fenrak
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! FINALLY THE INIKA!!!!
WE MUST FIND THE MYSTICAL KE-KONGU TO TURN US BACK TO TOA METRU
There was a combination for Hewkii Kongu and Hahli.
Keep 'em up!
