My paternal great grandmother grew up in the castle. Daughter of the laird. My father told me he visited the castle as a child. There is a portrait of the Duke of Argyll in the foyer of the castle that is a spitting image of my father. So my father was a genetic throwback.
As a kid we used to drive past this castle every year when we came up to Scotland so it's full of happy memories. Thank you for providing this information, happy 1,000 subs 😊
