its like this too as an employee. youd be amazed what just being honest and showing up on time will get you at a good employer. they throw money at you.
Question if you dont mind, what is he charging? It is my experience that when a lawn care guy underprices his services, the quality is eally bad. In his mind he is rushing because he knows he isn't making any money. Let me guess...he is charging $40 or less? I stay busy at $80-110 a yard because I actually provide very high quality landscaping/mowing.
Yes $40 but I have just that little strip of yard. It takes 15 minutes to do. The people that I've asked to come quoted the same price but never show up. This guy used to charge $35 when he had employees and bumped to $40 after going solo and does a much worse job
You so right. Honesty a rarity now. Liars everywhere. I drink decaffeinated coffee and positive they lie in coffee shop. Why make a fresh pot. I am awake all night.
So, yes, you can make money being the reliable guy. However, you must charge a premium price and be profitable. The root problem in unreliability is the contractor isn't making enough money so he is rushing from job to job. You cannot have quality/reliability and also get a cheap price from a contractor. You have to pick one or the other. Quality vs price. It is your choice.
Keep it up! Loving the videos!
Thank you Josh!

Right? The world is being driven by lazy flakes

This is a typical Craigslist scam
why don't you pay your son to mow it
@@ShortCrypticTales I definitely will when he is a bit older
Actually I take that back. He, unfortunately, inherited some of my allergies and grass is one of them
With a yard that small, I would replace the grass with a groundcover that doesn't need mowing.
Yea we've been thinking of doing something like that with pathways, sitting areas and some shade
