      yes dear
      any component failure in secondary for missing feedback
      so the smps controller will go in brust or restart mode
      so there must a fluctuation,
      short circuit may occur due to any component failure or any wire shorted

      thanks a lot.
      high frequency transformer have very low failure rate. so most of time primary drive section or feedback have issues.
      biggest headache is feedback
      we have to check symptoms of the functionality of smps controller, vcc circuit and feedback

    Mostly the short is at one of both ends. So you could try to cut of the desoldered end of the cable and remeasure conductivity. You are only missing 5cm then ;-)

      no it is battery charger, just have a reverse polarity protection diode. it is 6Volt 4AH battery

      for regular battery chargers, there is a charging control circuit and current limiting circuit

    Dear Hazeeb sir, My dvd smps first shown voltage variation. I replaced all capasitors and now no output voltage. Replaced optocoupler too. All other components are checked. Main capasitor showing 340 voltage and gang capasitor only 4.2 volt. Trnasformer secondary not getting any voltage. Kindly advice me once u free. Thanks

    Sir I have the same model adapter for a kid car charger which is 12v 1000mA (for lead acid battery charger). In my case I'm facing no switching happening on primary. Voltage b/w "S" and "D" is around 320VDC. Checked all the other components and found all in good order. I can't find out the switching IC data sheet bcz IC don't have any naming on it. Plz help to resolve

      there is something short circuit or consuming more current in secondary side. may be some component in the receiver board is damaged.
      in this case vcc capacitor will fluctuate

    my power supply flickers( stops for a fraction and recovers) when using capacitive fan regulator... help plz. what is the issue and how to resolve it

      it means the power supply doesn't have EMI filter.
      so you have to install EMI filter to the input side of the power supply

    I destroyed laptop smps because of short circuit that was not going away.. only to be found after I blow bridge rectifier and MOSFET mistakenly. The fault that was causing this annoying short circuit was the output cable like in the video... 😂😂😂
