Their version of boys of Summer is the only one I would ever recognize don't get me wrong Don Henley and all the others who covered that song did great but this version by The ataris is always going to be synonymous with my high school years
Infelizmente conheci essa banda muito tarde após jogar Tony Hawk 1+2, eu amo All souls Day, queria ter conhecido antes, aqui no Brasil essa banda não é popular, mas eu adorei.
I met him in the mid 2000 s an he was living in Santa Barbara CA. ? Ok anyways Chris was nice . He sang bad religion s heaven is falling off generator. This was at a karaoke restaurant an bar in Ventura call golden china . I happened to have my CDs in my car . He did a kiss song with the karaoke host Matt . Chris was very nice an no rock star attitude.
I grew up with the Ataris and they have always been one of my favorite bands. I have seen them many time from my first times at Van's Warp Tour when they were with Kung Fu Records to the So Long Astoria 20th Anniversary at House of Blues and many shows in between. I can say that the shows hit different now compared to 20 years ago. My wife and I got there about a half hour before Pollen went up first so we could get close up stage. And we didn't move the entire show because we didn't want to leave our spot. We were standing for about 6 hours straight at that show and in the end our feet and back hurt like hell. But it was all worth it. The music hits different now in a good way. I really enjoyed how clean the Ataris sound was and I like the direction they take live. It is a different sound than the recording thus giving us a nostalgic feeling but in a new way. You guys rocked it and hope to see future shows.
So long Astoria is one of the greatest albums ever made. 'Unopened letter to the world' will forever be on my playlist.
Check out Barcelona-falling out of trees. Lmk if you dig it

Thanks Kris for all the songs
I like how when Klein said, "To us, you kinda look the same." Kris immediately went for his cap lol.
Yea maybe he does look just a _little_ different.
where is the rest of the band?
I think he fired everyone few years back
He is the band
Ya I don’t think it’s easy working with Kris
it was always his band. he wrote all the music. othe members just hired musicians type of thing.
I love this band. Can't believe it's been that long. Magical album and time.
Please tell me he played more than one song and you guys are going to upload it 😮 many thanks… massive Atari’s fan.

This guy and The Ataris are going to be legends, if they aren't already.
They're absolute legends, at least already since So Long Astoria 😆
@@RvBy88more like since blue skies that album is an essential to 90s pop punk
If you wanna call it that...
Whose still waiting for the next album?
This is the only album I've ever been able to turn on and let play through.
