    I'm so excited for Cooper. He treats the line of scrimmage like the first down marker and is so determined to stop the offense behind the line.

      @@brianstollings6416 Fine, I'm done. We'll see if we return to the NFC Divisional playoff game level without Aaron Jones and passing on the Butkus Award winner at linebacker. I'm thinking that's a big No, but we'll just see Brian.

      As much as Jones meant, one player does not make or break the team unless QB. Jacobs will be just fine and with AJ and Lloyd, we'll be fine. As much as everyone is gushing over the Bears 3 WR, we have a better QB, 5 WR and 2/3 kick ass TE. Beefing up the line and building the D. We take the north back next season

      @@nothingman27511 the goal is not to be “divisional round good” or whatever you said. The goal is to win the SuperBowl. Something we never did with Jones. Also, the Packers are easily one of the two or three best teams at drafting over the last 20 years. I think they know who’s going to be a good pro linebacker and who isn’t. More so than any fan or UA-camr may proclaim to know. Calm down and relax.

      @@brianstollings6416 Sure thing Brian. Packer GM knows everything. Team owners who have been following the team since before the GM was born know nothing. People who pick the Butkus Award winner know nothing. Nick Saban, who had Payton Wilson as the best linebacker in the draft, knows nothing.
      Green Bay didn't win the Super Bowl last year because the defense let them down. Aaron Jones was the second most valuable player on the team. To make a comment that we can get rid of Aaron Jones because we didn't win the Super Bowl while he was there is totally clueless.
      I'm done. We are a borderline playoff team next season and would likely lose in the first round if we get in. Write it down. Aaron Jones was never more valuable to the team than he was at the end of the most recent season. Aaron Jones has averaged over 5 yards per carry for his CAREER, while Josh Jacobs averaged 3.5 last season. 3.5 would be LESS, Brian. I may know nothing, but I can do basic math.

    At the podium, Gutekunst made comments about how ACL injuries are no longer a big deal due to modern medicine. So guys, what was the reason we didn't draft Payton Wilson again??? Not drafting Wilson and letting Aaron Jones go to the Vikings are the two largest blunders I've seen a team make in some time. We took a step backward. I say that because I am a huge Packers fan, so don't call me childish names.

    • @fcpchop88
      @fcpchop88 10 днів тому

      Step backwards? Stop it. Jacobs is easily just as good as Jones right now but younger and more reliable. Jones was awesome but could never play a full season and is approaching the RB cliff in age. We were the youngest team in the NFL, the youngest team to make the playoffs in decades and all we did is get better and younger. Go pack go!

    • @fcpchop88

      There's a reason Wilson slipped as far as he did, wasn't just the Packers who didn't think he was worth a 2nd, the entire league felt the same...

      @@fcpchop88 The goal of a football team is to gain 10 yards in 3 plays. If Aaron Jones is AVERAGING 5.2 yards per carry, that gives you very different results than Josh Jacobs AVERAGING 3.5 yards per carry. Math 101 my friend.

      @@nothingman27511 Not to knock Jones, because he was awesome when he played, but that "when he played" part is pretty important too. You point to Jacob's last season because it pushes your narrative, why not tell us his stats from the year before? Maybe because he put together a season better than Jones has ever had in his career? He's also younger, and now paired with Lloyd, we got a seriously dangerous backfield for MLF to play with. I liked how you side stepped the Wilson part too 😆. Just say you don't know ball and keep it moving pal.

    That is exactly what the Packers have wanted in LB and Walker couldn’t show us that but whereas Hafley is now allowing all defense be aggressive in that new scheme! Him and Cooper bring that 49ers linebacking core, even Hopper! Linebacker room in GB is perfect

    Disappointing pick, imo. Just because he's fast, doesn't mean he's good. I was watching him get pushed around, getting faked out by RBs, and not joining in on the tackling. If E. Cooper was the best LB in this draft, it is a very sad class. Payton Wilson was easily the best. People say, he had injury issues, but he still played all the games in 2023, and he also had 138 tackles. How many tackles for E. Cooper... 84. Cooper could have, and should have, done a lot more on the field. Wilson and Cooper played 12 games in 2023, and they both played 11 games in 2022... and Wilson outperformed Cooper in every stat. This is an example of why Gute hasn't won the NFC Championship since he's been the GM.

    Packers had THREE chances in the 3rd round to draft Payton Wilson, linebacker from NC State who was the highest rated linebacker, but they went for inferior linebackers. The whole draft evaluation group needs to be replaced.
