I really like that bike! Several years ago, I bought a battery powered pump. I love it! It really does save me time and especially energy... even with my 2 inch wide tires.
Every electric pump I have ever used would run out in a couple hours, and die in a couple weeks. The manual floor pump lasts for as long as I have a heartbeat.
I bought my battery powered pump 2 years ago, and it still works like new.
This E Bike assembly instructions for heybike was helpful.
I wish eBikes with adjustable height seats were able to actually lower the seat to the height of a reasonably short adult. In shopping with my friend for her eBike, we went to many shops and only found 2 eBikes that could fit her. She's about 4' 11". It would be nice to see a review of your experience on this.
P.S., she ended up with the Magnum Pathfinder 500. The reflector on the seatpost had to be removed, the seat was lowered all the way down and she still has to wear tall soled shoes or slippers so she can barely touch the ground. She likes her new eBike though. 👍🤙
@O, Nice!
I like the seat post adjustment! Thanks for the great review.
Great review! I own a Heybike Cityscape and have 4,000 miles on it in less than a year! Bumped it up with a few upgrades but it's ultra comfortable and keeps on going!
I'm new to this channel but I have to say the videos I've watched are really good. Not just the fluff you get on some channels.
Awesome review as usual! You unbox your bikes in the grass so they don't get damaged when they fall over. ...twice. 😉
The adjuster seat post is a great addition. The TERRIBLE riding Geometry on the Lectric, is why I sold it. I had to jump off, or fall off dozens of times because in an attempt to get proper leg extension for peddling, my feet were to far from the ground for quick stops. Kudos to Heybike
I had the same problem with my Ecotric 20" fat tire. I got so fed up with the seating position that I bought a banana seat and mounted the rear on the softest ATV/dirt bike coil over shock absorber I could find on Amazon. It's still pretty stiff. I have a cargo rack on the back so I made a bracket for the shock that mounts on the rack. I suppose a sissy bar would work also. Now I can sit back farther and still reach the ground with my feet.
Love that drop seat! looks like a solid value!
Come Micha, pop a wheelie!
Hey that bike looks mad thick, I’m new to e bike, but this is helpful, I’m going to learn more about this market before I jump to get one, or build my own thanks for the info, super useful. cheers
Another morning "Pasture-preview" from sultry South Florida. Thanks for the review, Michah!
Nice bike. I too like the seat post adjuster.
That headlight looks great, like an old school motorcycle.
Definitely at the top of my list
Dropper seatpost!!!??? WHY didn't we think of that before? Excellent!
I did like drop seat. That's a nice touch.
I really appreciate the adjustable seat. I wish more bikes were available with that option.
The Heybike Trail Police edition. Impressive features, the hydraulic disc brakes and dropper post we a surprise.
I got your Ultimate DIY Ebike guide years ago, (wouldnt mind another lol) growing up around Harleys but being an electronic specialist, I only looked at Ebikes as a novelty despite e motor advantages. You do a lot better than others do with straightforward and informative info for all levels of enthusiast. Thanks for that. After many two strokes, I'm finally going to do my first eBike
Thanks for great review - I found you through "Not Just Bikes" and I'm slowly going through your older videos.
Thanks! Where was I in not just bikes?
@@EbikeSchool Well - maybe I misspoke - I thought it was not just bikes but it could have been a couple other channels.
Anyway thanks for the good content, I'm learning quite a bit
Micah is a class-act. Good stuff!
Great price for all the features on the bike, I dig it 👍🏾👍🏾
love the design
Love how you snuck the Cheng Le into the video lol
Nice and great information. Good job!
Nice review! And the bike is not bad.
Hey good vid man, wondered where I had subbed to you and when you showed your books I remembered, I have the top 2 books, bought 2020 :) Really keen on e-bikes, but likely will build my own - take care man.
Fun review. Would like to see this setup on a step-thru.
I am here for your free book. Iol. Great review as always.
Nice review, keep up the good work! Curious about how much this e-bike rattles, fastener integrity etc after some time off road.
Cruised right in on your e-vehicle. That thing is certainly pretty useful!
🤣 I love your unboxings and reviews!!!
Nice unboxing
Say hello to Portugal.
These Bikes are a great value!
Loving your videos! I think unboxing in grass is more pastoral-looking, nicer. Keep it up!
The other day, I finally found that 4mm hex key allen wrench that my son lost on the front lawn while putting together his bike two years ago. It lost a little bit of metal on the ends due to rust and pitting, but hey, I'll grind it down and it should work like new! No need to build your bikes anywhere else, but on the grass..
The headlamp brackets shown on their website look much better, and they're also fitted above the bottom yoke giving additional clearance at maximum fork travel.
Unfortunately, in many of the photos on the website the headlamps appear to be set for aircraft spotting instead of lighting the road ahead.
Seems like a nice bike.
Cool fat tire ebike..I have the Vtuvia sn100 Fat Tire ebike..Lots of fun 🚴🏻😀😀😀
What a good looking bike overall though 👌
Hi Mica. Thanks for this review. I was thinking about a Lectric 2.0 bike. Sound OK? They have a fall sale right now. Thanks again!
Cool bike review, I wish that you would make a top 5 e-bike for each price bracket. Low, middle and high end budget categories. For the year 2022
Need one of those!
Can you please do a video explaining how to fly and travel with an ebike? Can you explore options on shipping lithium batteries to your destination that cannot go on a major airline?
Another nice video. Didn’t see a link for the bike pump
That is a cool looking bike. I'd love to test one at our favorite car show.
like the color
Nice e-bike 👍🏻
Hello Micah, I share your passion for electric bikes. I have been working on upgrading the original Lead Acid battery for my BL-36 Wilderness kit with NiMH D cells, your videos have been very useful for building my 36V battery. Once I am done with this, I'd like to upgrade to a 48V Li-Ion battery and a larger 48V controller. My third objective is to look into regenerative braking. Do you have any recommendations for regenerative braking? From my (very limited)) research, it would seem that these are not common, due to the use of DC motors for powering the bicycles.
Thank you, keep up the great work!
Luis Figueroa
Love your channel
I haven't seen you talk about mid drives. You should get a bafang ultra model, that would be sweet.
Nice video . Great bike you have . Here in the UK we can only have up to 250w motors to be legal . I have one and its ok but needs a bit more power . Even a throttle isn't legal here but I have one on mine . It was supplied with bike but not fitted. Enjoy your riding . Best wishes from the UK .
Maybe the ado a20f is something for you, the motor is stampt 250w but when you unlock it its 500w, and also a throttle and can go to 35 km, i have mine now for almost 9 mounths and it's my daily driver, i live in the nederlands.
Well why stop there and add more power too ?
I would suggest a mid-drive motor and if you want to be slick order a 250 watt factory sticker to put on it
@@ferguson8143 Ha ha yes. I am thinking along those lines . Cheers .
Bicycle law enforcement in the UK is effectively nonexistent. A basic example is the half of riders not using lights at night.
Very nice!
It's a nice bike, i have mine with a kit, but sometimes its a bit heavy. This could be a good option.
Recently visited this channel and can't stop myself from seeing the other videos😅
I hope you enjoy them!
Thanks!
I would like to see you review the bee cool path finder. Same style bike with a 20 ah battery and a $1499 price tag.
I prefer the OLD skool threaded axel to quick release , too easy to steal!!!
Like this one a lot😊
I noticed the brake lights stayed on on the minitruck, do they eventually turn off when you use the secondary e-brake?
Nice video! but..... when are you gonna show us your motorcycle conversion finished?? :(
Still waiting for Part 5!
Damn, I forgot all about that build.
I actually saw this bike a bunch when it first came out. I was caught but the overall design of the bike and you uploading this video pretty much confirmed my purchase of it. The bike will actually be arriving today so I'm pretty excited to finally have it!
ps. just a general question, are fat tires more durable than normal tires? I plan on taking it on a lot of bike trails and I've had a few mountain tires pop on some pretty minor terrain.
edit: I'm also gonna be using this as a daily commuter
I don't think they're technically any more durable in terms of the tire itself, but the larger air volume means you can run lower pressure without as much of a chance of pinch flats - so in that way they can prevent some flat tires. But they can be punctured by nails, glass and other debris just as easily.
I think this is a pretty interesting looking bike. The frame has a nice design and the color looks pretty good. I like the dark green color it has. I don't know if I'm a fan of that beefy looking motorcycle style headlight, though. However, I think it would had to be pretty bright for a light that big. In the last review I saw of this bike, I wondered if it had a tail light and this review answered my question. The red/blue flashing tail light might be an issue in most places. The last time I saw a tail light like that, it was on a police issue bicycle. I once asked a police officer riding a bike with one of those lights on it and she said that it's only for police use. I think as long as you use it to display a red light, it will be ok. As for the weight limit, I like that this bike is rugged enough to support a maximum weight of 400 pounds. As I'm a heavier rider (around 300 lbs), I'm glad to see that this allows heavier people to get into biking on an electric bike. I'm glad to see that this bike is a class 3 bike, but when it comes to the pedal sensor, I wonder if it's a cadence sensor or a torque sensor. As I come to find out, torque sensors allow the bike to become more responsive to you. That's one thing I wish I knew before buying the Aventon Aventure I currently have.
Hi, I bought a used tricycle ebike without battery but a charger, how do I know which battery should work on my bike? Thanks
Why are there no 32000 cells on these built in battery packs? They last longer don’t they? Or lifepo4 have some drawbacks?
Love the vid brother !!!! What’s the pump called on Amazon I need one!!! New sub here keep on being you bro stay blessed
So maybe today's the day I win the book! Nice video.
Can you review the surron and talaria ebike?
Hello EBike school! Im looking to create a battery that will be used on an e scooter. I need it to be 36 volts. Do you think its possible to build a 36 volt ? ah battery with $60?
Hi, I bought a use tricycle without battery but a charger, ho do I know which battery is fit for my bike? Thanks
Wow!! This E-bike is very nice I like this model the frame is very nice👍👍👍
Does that e-bike have a batter included or do I need to buy it separately?
I had the Brawn ordered and it should be here in a month or so, so I thought I might pick your brain about how to get a extra 5 to 10 mph or more out of the Brawn, without spending much or any money on parts. I'd like to keep it as stock as possible for financial reasons but a small budget plug and play might fit the category. I don't know anything about eggrider or how most of this works without the bike being here. Any tech secret passwords or tricks on the display? I just subscribed to your channel because you seem very knowledgeable about ebikes and etc. Thanks.
did you get your brawn? do you hear any rubbing noise from your brakes?
@@corpr8dystopia778 yeah I've had my Brawn for a couple of weeks. The brakes don't rub. If I apply pressure to the calipers its makes some chatter once in a while but I need to clean my rotors and pads because I've been riding during rainy days. Also, I don't know if my brake pads are resinous or metallic. Enjoying riding a ebike though. I only have bicycles for transportation.
nice informative video.
the electric bike pump has gotten my attention, lol.
That's actually a nice bike and it has a dropper.... That's a Big Plus, I really like that but my question is, How Much¿?
nice bike
Hi Micah
I have a question for you. I want to make my ebike battery(18650 cell 36V 3500 mAh) but I cant buy on Aliexpress because I live in Türkiye so it is so expensive for me. How can I buy this battery without Aliexpress? Thank you. Have a good day.
Looks good for the price
Nice Efat bike..
Overall it's a pretty good entry bike
Not sure if/when an adjustable seatpost would come in handy on a commute, but then looks like a small frame on big tires kind of bike, not assembled with commuter in mind
Hi Mike would like to know how to connect a second battery to my Dirodi rover e-bike if at all possible, I live down under in Australia and secondly you always talk pounds/miles, if possible could you also mention kilograms/kilometres, it’s a bit of a headache trying to convert, as your videos are seen round the world, cheers 🍻
Adding a battery is trivial electrically.
It's dealing with the weight that can be daunting.
I put a conversion kit together, took it out for a test ride, and the handling was so awful I parked it in my shop and it sat there for over a year while I ruminate over how the hell I was going to mount a heavy ass battery in a location that wouldn't completely destroy handling, wouldn't require extensive additional structure etc.
Forget aerodynamic - this thing has the sleek profile of a refrigerator.
I hope to see you learn an electric unicycle. And review some of it.
Love Ya Man!
At that price, I’d expect rear shock suspension. So, how easy is it to replace the battery?
Awesome review as always, but dude, as the video was ending, I was just about to comment a joke how you forgot your trash! Lol 😆
Hi Mikey! Writing from the Caribbean. I'm interested in putting together a diy conversion kit to my 26 inch bike. I moved a little further away from where I work and so the commute is longer in time and distance of course. Can tou recommend a kit for rear wheel drive 1500w 48V, please? Appreciate the videos. I just today (Christmas Day) net up on your vids. All the best
You find one yet
Good video!! I want an ebike!! I’m an old lady so I’ll need a step-through. I’ll be dreaming!
There are tons of step-thru ebikes. Have you checked out the Magicycle Ocelot and their Jaguarundi? Both are step-thru, and the Jag folds in half for storage.
@@carriebartkowiak I’ve never heard of those! Thank you! I’ll check them out!
Hi, I know that the comment has nothing to do with the video but since I follow you I have seen your previous videos and I know that you understand electronics. I wanted to ask you if you can make a battery pack (for electric scooters 60v 20etc ah) using LIC batteries (Lithium - Ion Capacitors) THANKS IN ADVANCE
Congratulations Micah, I get more SCAM/SPAM soliciting, from SCAMMERS impersonating your channel, than all my other favorite channels ... COMBINED.
I love ebikes. If I was to win this bike it would allow me to exercise everyday.
Which ebike would you recommend for a big guy 6'6" 300 lbs ?
Ariel Kepler.
There is a dual-motor ebike called the Grizzly. Expensive. Good tech support.
Fun video.
fellow.like it.incredible ~ ✨
Looking for the air pump link....also can you retrofit the seat post?
If the seat tube of the bike is long enough, the seat post outside diameter matches the seat tube inside diameter and the dropper cable doesn't need a special hole in the seat tube. Make sure your handlebar has space to fit yet another lever.
Fess-up. You did forget that for a minute didn't you? Then, when you remembered, thought "Hey, that'll make a good outro joke!"
Maybe I'm wrong but it was funny either way.
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
