There are 4 cable grooves in total along the top of the back section. They’re nice and deep, so you can fit two cables through each. Nothing along the bottom of the enclosure
I've been looking at repti-life vivarium because brands like vivexotics don't get wider than 115cm (advertised as 4ft but actually a little less), and I have a 140cm/55" space to fill on top of an existing very sturdy solid oak drawer unit. However, the desk is only 18"/45cm deep, which makes for some awkward dimensions. 55" should be long enough for even a large mature corn snake to fully stretch out, but I'm worried a long narrow tank could be a problem in some way, even if I make as full a use of the vertical dimension as possible for a semi-arboreal snake. What do you think? Would it be an issue with the heat gradient as well or would it be beneficial for that? I originally thought I could overlap the ends of the unit/pull it away from the wall a little to support a 5ft×24" viv, but with what you said about certain vivariums bowing I'm now concerned it's not safe to use a viv with a bigger footprint than it's support.
For the record, I'm in no rush to go out and buy a snake and happy to take my time creating a nice landscaped bioactive set up, but the depth issue is essentially a limitation of the dimensions of the room - it's a small flat and there's nowhere else to put a viv that wouldn't be in front of a radiator or in direct sunlight. Sorry for the wall of text, thought it was better too much info than too little!
Hello! Vivexotic do one size up from the 115cm now, but I believe it’s 60cm deep. A 45cm deep viv would be OK in general but makes life difficult when it comes to finding hides and water bowls that work well for an adult corn. If you do go down the route of a custom build from repti-life, I’d consider asking them to make you a top to attach to your current desk to support a deeper viv. You could also get a piece of MDF from any hardware store and make and supporting structure to hold a bigger viv :)
These are a stack of three 48x24x24? I have one right now and would love to stack two more on top but I worry about how the bottom one would support the weight and how to prevent it bowing. I contacted repti life and they said I’d have to have a support beam in the bottom one, not really sure how to go about doing that though. Did you have to do the same?
Hi there, I ended up adding support beams into the fronts of all of mine. They’re supporting the weight well, no bowing and the glass still slides and comes out easily :)
Hi! I’m thinking of buying one for my leopard gecko the 36x15x15. I’m just wondering is there fittings on top to install a strip light to light up the tank nicely? And if so what lights do you reccomend? Thanks!
I'm thinking about ordering won of these for my royal I was considering the 5 foot but the 6 foot is only £22 more so I'm thinking of just getting a 6 foot. Do you think I would need to add an extra heater or would you say they hold heat and humidity much better than the viva + I have the viva + just now and I feel it has too much ventilation.
@@JensensReptiles I've got the white python 150 w ceramic do you think that will be powerful enough ? I really don't like the other ceramic heaters they take up a lot of space.
Yeah they can be space consuming but they’re a great way to heat the enclosure. 150w should be fine for 6ft, but you may want to move closer to the centre. For example, if you divide the enclosure into quadrants, you’d want it on the line between the first and second quadrant
@@JensensReptiles yeah I was thinking that might work. I think I will just go for a 6 foot one then if there is any problems with the temperature I will just fit an additional ceramic. I have the viva + deep just now and I just think there is too much ventilation as there is the front ventilation vents I feel it would be more suited to a bearded dragon or something that requires lower humidity. Do you think your repti life vivs hold humidity better than the vivexotics ?
That’s the size my adult corns are in and they seem to make good use of the space. I’d definitely not go smaller, but they would probably appreciate more space if you had it :)
They look great Dan and glad you had a wonderful experience this time around. Getting custom built here at a decent price is not easy but looking around for some at the moment myself.
Hi Daniel, I have bought a vivexotic repti view viv, do you know the size of the heat mat I would need? It’s for 2 leopard geckos and unsure on the size needed
I’d go bigger if you can my friend, 6x2x2 minimum really. Not just space wise, but to make sure you can achieve your light and heat gradients properly. In a 4x2x2 you just end up with a hot box with no gradient. My best beardie build was 8x2x2 and I managed to get all my requirements spot on
I purchased a 48 x 12 x 12 from them a few weeks ago with the 15mm board and I have to agree that it is great. I was planning to slowly move over to these as and when required but your mentioning 19mm has made me think and I will order the rest in that spec and have the 15mm on top. Thanks for that! Also, I am in Northern Ireland and used to delivery issues as standard, damages or late deliveries but again I had no problems.
They’re a wonderful company. I have no regrets going for the 18mm vivs. Because mine are stacked on carpet I was a little worried about stacking them, but repti-life have sent me some supports for free to put my mind at ease. Their service is top notch!
look very nice. i never had vivexotic vivarium as look rubbish weak and over price weak wood.. reptil-life vivsriums look nice onky sen them online think get few look good stacking as see on video
awesome, i am just about to order from these guys, knowing you did gives me great peace thank you
What is the cable management like? Thanks :)

Thanks!
Most light units will come with fittings so you can attach them when you build the enclosure. I use the Arcadia shade dweller at the moment
They look great but is there any way to get wires through the vent holes or would you have to drill holes
Nah, if the wires came through the vents it would be messy as all hell and probably reduce the integrity of the vent too

Definitely go for the 6ft if you can! You’ll have such a happy snake. What kind of heat are you using? And what’s the wattage?

Are they easy to put together? I've just got my baby boa a 5ft viv but it's gonna be my first attempt at doing it for myself
Very very easy! You can put each one together in about 15 minutes. Just lay everything out and stay organised and it’s super speedy!
@@JensensReptiles ok brilliant thanks for replying so fast
Is the 4ft x 2ft x 2ft good for a fully grown female corn snake?

Hi Daniel, I have bought a vivexotic repti view viv, do you know the size of the heat mat I would need? It’s for 2 leopard geckos and unsure on the size needed
Sadly that enclosure isn’t really suitable for leopard geckos, and I don’t use a heat mat for mine anymore so I wouldn’t be able to advise
One year on, are they still as good? I'm looking at buying a 6x2 ft, and seen repti life on Amazon and just wanted to see what reviews are like
They’re fantastic. Definitely going to buy a load more when I eventually move house :)
How deep can I get my substrate in them how big is the wood
The new website looks amazing man!
Thanks mate :)

do u think a 5ft would be OK for a 8 month old male boa as I've been thinking of buying one
The bigger the better :)
Jensen's Reptiles ok thanks for replying
Recently been looking into ordering some of these, what is the depth of the front? So what depth of substrate can go in them. Thank you
Mines a few inches, but you can request whatever size you want if going for a custom build :)

Best to check their website :)
How much was it
Is the checkout secure??
Yes
Thoughts on vivexotic reptihome vivs? They seem to be becoming more and more common
Yeah they’re great! Just not for stacking :)
@@JensensReptiles what makes them bad for stacking? Too weak?
Yeah, any above 4ft will sag at the front over time. You can stack them two high without issues, but not 3
@@JensensReptiles bugger, cheers for the reply though.
Hey, what lighting do you use?
White python LEDs
@@JensensReptiles thanks
thanks been looking for bigger vivs without building myself. all the time it seem us based companies finally something in the uk
Haha glad to help then!
Do they ship to the u.s?
Best to ask them directly
What size is it ??x??x??
