Thanks. Altogether in my 30-year career as tour guide, specializing in leading walking tours in Europe's main cities, with groups of 10-25 people, if you combined together all of our miles, we walked thousands of miles. On some days we have done 10 miles, on a couple of walking tours. Walking is the way to see a place, not riding in a tour bus. London and Paris are great on the open-top bus ride for that added overview.
Living there. Some places are very old and need some love to recover their beauty. But the place is full of charm. Just funny how people living there like to say thay hate it. But well, everywhere in France people really LOVE to say they hate where they live... In fact, that is true, from Nort to South, West to East, whatever is the regional culture, all French have a common point : they are angry lol
Grasse is a lovely Côte d’Azur hinterland town; however, I recall visiting about 3 years ago, and the thing that struck me was oh how they stare there. I felt local eyes boring into me like I have felt no place else.
@@denniscallan Can’t really explain it as it’s not like they live in a backwater spot. They only happen to be in the country on the planet that receives the most tourists, 20km from the most popular coast in the country that receives the most tourists. Couldn’t explain it, but my one abiding thought I took from Grasse, aside from its general loveliness, was a populace keen on staring at me as if I were the man from Mars, or something.
@@ash9x9 Very interesting question! We had a feeling that locals did have an unusual gaze. I would like to know what you think after your visit to this lovely little town.
Géris Lopes Consalter Grasse is surprising -- most visitors might only be looking for the famous perfumes, but the Old Town is the real gem of Grasse, typical, with lovely lanes for strolling.

Everywhere in France is beautiful
Try the banlieu outside of Paris
Absolutely beautiful, this town is now on my bucket list.Thank you for sharing
I'm moving to near Grasse in October from England. This video helps calm my nerves a little. At very least it will be beautiful, that is a guarentee.
How has it been so far?
Dennis you are a great guide ! I feel like I can walk for miles- with you.

I havve been to Grasse three times, and this video is absolutely fantastic.
Beautifully photographed and highly informative. Best treatment of Grasse I have seen on UA-cam. Thanks.
Very well presented. Voice / music balance was perfect. So many tubers get it wrong. Subscribed 👍

Thank you so much !!!
Bila sam u Grase-u prelepi mirišljavi gradić🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for the Video
Thanks Dennis for showing us these charming towns. Those slanted narrow lanes must be hazardous to walk on during winter when they have ice on them.
Winters are relatively mild in the south of France.

Curiously, we had the same experience. I wonder what is going on? Maybe all that perfume stimulation :)

Great!
Cual es la mejor epoca para visitar esa ciudad? Me gusto mucho el video. Gracias.
I just subscribed. I really must get here!!
Can you give me more tips for Perfume Museum? How much does the guide tour costs and which one is better?
Excellent video of Grasse, in Provence, France !
Are the fruit & vegetable markets in Grasse open year round? or is it a seasonal market.
It was open in November when we photographed this - I suppose it goes all year. Winters are relatively mild in the south of France.
Michael Friedman
Year round.
They were open when I was there in January a couple of years ago.
M1710 Thanks for letting me know !
