You can put muffler upgrades on solar boilers to mute the off-gassing sounds.

For Chrome go Ruby juice route. This is a more efficient way. You get 50% from crushed ruby ore insted of 20%

Isn`t worth it upgrading all machines on a grid to produce determinate resource, simplifying power grid?
In a few eps u will not be able to add more funcionality to your fuel floor anymore

For the chest-under-machine dilemma, you can use a "slightly larger" chest, which will let you open it, even when the top is blocked.
