This was a great interview. I am currently a homeschooling mom of 4, work part time and am trying to build my skills to transition into a creative career. I really enjoyed the discussion on not comparing progress. I want to put much more time into my goals than is realistic at this point and I am learning to be patient with myself.

Being patient with ourselves is one of the hardest things to master, but with those kids and their school on your plate, it's a must. Keep making tiny steps forward and don't beat yourself if sometimes you take what feels like a step backward.

Great interview Elizabeth. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate the questions you ask and the relatable information you get. I’m a Skillshare teacher too..... I feel your pain. Great interview with Kristina and the bonus question in the toolkit was great to hear as well. Thank you so much!

Aww thanks Lisa, yea coming up with questions I'm always just harping on things I'm curious about, so glad it's resonating! Time to start a non-top Skillshare teachers support group? LOL

@@ElizabethSilver Yeah, I’d join that support group.

I have a Skillshare membership that I have been renewing for the past, I think, three years. There are some bad teachers but there are more good teachers. The thing that frustrates me most is you never know the date the class was made so much of the information could be out of date but you don’t know this when you take the course. Also, some teachers really share a lot of information and go at a great pace and others race through not properly explaining things. I didn’t know teachers were so poorly paid though, that’s not fair.

That's a good point about not knowing when a course is made- mine are pretty old. I still think they are valid as far as content, but I can see how some info could easily be out of date in certain topics.
Yea, the pay rate is bad...it's a great place to build an audience as a teacher though because you already have built in students so there are definitely pros and cons!

teaching you have to prepare alot lesson plan, assingment, follow up with students, check and review their work the assigments igs a full dedication so i don't do that now it's best teaching them in a physical class not through a video unless you are doing it yourself on your own
