I'm so sick and tired of moviegoers trash-talking about this beautiful film. The reason why audiences gave this Pinocchio film such mediocre reviews is because most people are unfamiliar with the original novel by Carlo Collodi and think Pinocchio was an entirely original idea from Walt Disney. Pinocchio has its origin as a dark, twisted children's story just like all the other Disney adaptations of classic fairy tales. I'm a die-hard fan of the Collodi story and when I watched this movie, I loved it, I thought it was the definitive live action adaptation of the book. Those who keep saying "oh this movie sucked", "Pinocchio is creepy looking", "this looks so lame", "I don't want my kids seeing this", "blah, blah, blah, blah", just shut up already, you're all stupid and ignorant! Matteo Garrone did a solid job and Roberto Benigni certainly redeemed himself from his first Pinocchio film, the problem is audiences are being closed-minded. You know, kids can handle a lot more than what we give them credit for, if kids these days can play violent video games and if they can stomach the contents of Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Hunger Games, which were way darker and violent, had scarier visuals and contained horrible life or death situations, they can handle the original Pinocchio, which is an innocent bedtime story compared to those other stories. Also, I would have settled for the film being subtitled, but I'm happy that it's being dubbed, from what I've seen in this trailer, I think it seems pretty decent. And guess what? Not everybody likes reading subtitles, it can be distracting. And think about blind people who want to go see this movie, they wouldn't be able to read the subtitles so they would have to rely on it being dubbed.
If it makes you feel any better, from seeing the trailer I think it looks like a good movie. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the Disney adaption but I am open to a new version or rather the original version.

I actually watched this in Italian language first before finding out it has a dubbed English voice option so I'm rewatching. I usually don't like dubbed but they did this in Italian accent English and it's totally well done. The cinematography, the music, the costume designs, the makeup, the acting is all outstanding well done. I don't know why IMDb6 gave it a 6.2 out of 10 not that that's so bad but it should have been high 7s or even 8.

I have lived in this room for one hundres years. But I have never seen such a bad boy as you!" he scolded."I don't like you either!" said Pinocchio. He was mad at the cricket for calling him a bad boy."Shame on you for being rude!"chirped the cricket."I am trying to help you, and Geppetto has been very kind.Is this how you thank your friends? If so, you will have very bad friends.Children should honor their parents and you have not!" Pinocchio banged his hand on the table. He was trying to squash Mr. Cricket! "I'll show you! I can have all the friends I want!" Pinocchio screamed.I can do whatever I want! I don't have to honor anyone! I am going to go on adventures. One day, I will be rich and famous!" Mr. Cricket jumpet to the floor to run away. But Pinocchio chased him and tried to step on him."You are making very bad chices!" said the cricket."One day those bad choices will hurt you.You can't run away from the choices you've made. You must learn to do honest work and study to be a good boy," he chirped and he ran toward the door." I won't work.I won't study. I won't listen to what you say!I will do only what I won't!" Pinocchio screamed. Mr. Cricket ran under the door.Pinocchio kicked the door.He walked over to the table, sat down, and started to cry. "I won't listen to you or anyone else," he cried. He fell asleep with teardrops dripping off his nose. The morning the police let Geppetto go back to his house. Person 1: “Have you seen the new Pinocchio movie?”
Person 2: “Which one?”
- Everyone
saw this movie this past Monday, man i was so relaxed asf! good movie 🔥🔥🔥
Looks like a great movie to scar your children for life.
you're right. let them play cod modern warfare instead, or maybe watch fast & furious 137 when it comes out...
@@kbrodeur CoD games are PG-18 and FF films are PG-13. Keep talking shit.
@@douchymcdouche169 you're...right. PG-18 is...a...thing. Lol. You mean "R-rated". PG-18. Derp. Also, no kid EVER watches R-Rated stuff, ever...
@@kbrodeur I mean... If you raise them strict. I've seen some 20 something people never have watched/played anything R rated and avoid it with hatred.
@@douchymcdouche169 Have you played COD MW2? You really think that infamous airport level is PG? Bruh
My families favorite movie in recent history, we cannot stop imitating them.
this is just as scary as the 1996 one omfg
Yeah!
I think it's based off the original book (and I mean the old Italian dark times book, I mean the one from like the 1881 or something like that), not Disney's version from 1940, but I think this movie is going to be PG so obviously they're going to keep out all the really bad stuff from the old original book
And honestly I think they did a good job on making the character less creepy than most people's expectations when hearing of a live action version of pinocchio
This is not scary. Its an amazing and accurate version of Pinocchio, an Italian story
What a fantastic movie, I really enjoyed
Everyone should watch its available in English..
I was boring to watch action horror and comedy movies finally after many days found a good movie.
I love this film version of Pinocchio! I say it's as good as the 1996 film: The Adventures of Pinocchio and Pinocchio that is the Disney cartoon! I love Pinocchio a whole lot!😃😀
This actually looks awesome! I wanna see it!
Father when can I leave to be on my own😩👄👄💅💅💗🌈
I really enjoyed this movie. Scenery is amazing
"I am tired," he said, but Geppetto's bed was too tall."I am cold and hungry and tired, and there is no one here to take care of me!" Big tears ran down his wooden face."Well if you hadn't been a bad boy, Geppetto would be here," said a tiny voice."Who's there?" asked Pinocchio, a little scared.Night was falling and the room was getting dark.Pinocchio couldn't see anyone."I am," said the voice again, with a chirping sound. A small candle on the table suddenly lit up.Pinocchio saw a cricket crawling down the candle."Oh! You are bug!" said Pinocchio."Who are you?" "My name is Mick the Cricket. You may call me Mr. Cricket. Meanwhile,Pinocchio was at home crying, because he was tired and hungry and had no clothes.

This looks like it was made by Tim Burton
This Pinocchio had a darker tone than all the Marvel universe movies put together.
That's not hard to achieve
How did we go from this to a full grown gay one lmao
💥💥💥💥💥
Today on 30- September-2023 I watched this.
Geppeto(the father of pinocchio) was once a pinocchio too, he was the lead role in Pinocchio 2002

Film meraviglioso... Se avessi dato retta alla votazione IMDB non lo avrei mai guardato! Non riesco veramente capire il motivo di un 6,2 come punteggio ...
Really a great story❣❣❣🔥
I just saw it today, sweet movie
Where did you see it ?
At a CMX Cinemas in Florida
this looks amazing
This has the feeling of Return to OZ (another classic), which also was terrifying.
Thank God they stick with the original
I would see this just because it’s got Roberto Benigni and Italian
This movie trailer looks like a good one of heart melting to watch and it makes my childhood movie come to life then the other movie trailer that this one trailer makes the true looks of Pinocchio and the magic inside of him is meant to be alive and shared to everyone he encounters.
Love this movie and the beautiful places
ThankGod it's not Disney
I like that it's pretty true to the book.
So far at least
°Just finished it. It's actually really good•
Very dark at times
