im of the mind that if you care caught cheating on a steam sold game, that your entire steam account is locked, banned, deleted. so you lose EVERYTHING youve ever bought on it permanently. i think it would slow down the cheating a bit, and anything is an improvement. my friend and i like to play official for laid back survival, and we've been head shotted inside enclosed concrete buildings with no windows.
@@ghomerhust Right, Steam would benefit from a zero tolerance cheat policy. Cheaters will dodge the ban anyway, and Steam will get more money when the cheater buys all his games again. Sadly, I've seen players on DayZ who have "multiple bans" on their profile, meaning they have been detected more than twice :(
@@dannybananas132 actually yes there is they duplicate loot and have the Alice bags full of 40mm explosive tips that how they have been destroying a lot of bases on dayz on ps5

Cheaters are THE main reason I don’t play on official servers. Got so tired of it that I got my own server & play with friends mostly.
How do you get your own server?
04:50 which is why, when playing on official, I always use towers and barbed wire for my outer perimeter & even utilize them indoors at every given opportunity.
I really think a video where you revisit all of the bases you’ve given away to see how they’ve turned out would be interesting content. Love your videos btw 🙏🏼

Awesome movie dude. You're one of the reasons I started playing. This movie is the reason I don't play on official servers. We're all very lucky to have community servers and the people that pay for them.

This is a really nice change to see people being nice to new players, i dont have a lot of experience in Dayz as i got tired of cheaters and people killing on sight for absolutely no gear, the work that goes into building a base is real on this game and for you guys to give it all away was really cool of you guys. Advice to anyone starting on DayZ : DO NOT PLAY OFFICIAL SERVERS!!!! stick to modded servers
I will disagree on that sure modded is better than official with all the lag and stuff but if you want to experience and learn the game from scratch if you're starting out modded servers are usually heavily modded with huge clans making solo play impossible for a new player also it's nice after a lot of modded server gameplay for a change
Community servers* doesnt have to be modded really just anything but official.
I love this game . Just hard to find real people who dont backstab all the time .
Yeah no kidding, I remember a while back I was based somewhere and I saw a big clan get wiped out overnight by some kind of ark style alpha tribe who were server hopping.
The clan of my old server were the biggest group there, they were frequently keeping everybody under check by not letting any base get too big.. we were victims of them once as well. So they weren't slouches.
So yeah, official servers are scary.. lol

this was one of the best videos i ever saw from you, yes the cheater problem sucks and they really need to do smth about this, nonetheless do i enjoy the core game, where people dont fly around in black hawks and one tap each other with barrets. this feels less like call of duty and the interaction with the people is what makes this game great for me.

You should do a video on the perception server where you build a huge tower base in the middle of the island so you cold snipe people swimming in and it would be really hard to attack

I dont play on official servers mainly cuz of ghosting where a player leaves and joins another official server where the base isnt there get inside then log off that one and rejoin the one they were on and they will appear inside the base.
they fixed that a long time ago I think

This video perfectly sums up why I've pretty much completely stopped playing the game. Official has been ruined and finding a good community server on console that isn't high boost loot is pretty much impossible.

Good video and nice viewpoint on what to expect on Offical. I switched to community and never went back, thats almost a year ago. Been gaming this since EA and been reporting cheaters to Bohemia like everyone else, but to no avail. imo seems like the devs didnt care

I found a full nbc suit just by looting airfield north of berazino. Has some basic military crates but then plus medical tents. My loot run goes through their and I got full nbc in 3 hours
