I think the rubbery feeling is normal for Alikay shampoos because their Caribbean coconut shampoo does the same thing. It's supposed to be paired with the Caribbean coconut conditioner as a two-step process meant to clarify and rebalance ph/ moisturize the hair. I highly recommend trying both products together instead of separately.
I LOVE ALMOST EVERYTHING ALIKAY NATURALS! 1. HOT OIL TREATMENT 2. LEMONGRASS LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER 3. COCONUT MILK CONDITIONER (MY FAVORITE OUT OF ALL) 4. 🍯 HONEY & SAGE DEEP CONDITIONER ALONG WITH THE AVOCADO PROTEIN MASK MIXED TOGETHER 5. BOTANICALS HAIR & SCALP BALM CAN'T WAIT TO TRY HER LIQUID GOLD LINE! 😊😊😊
I loooove the Alikay honey & sage dc. I've tried many other deep conditioners but i always come back and stick to this one...nothing else compares, been natural 5years.
I just got into Alikaynaturals too. I absolutely love the honey and sage deep conditioner, a staple for me. My next try in the line will be the lemongrass leave in
😂 I literally just used the honey & sage deep conditioner. IN LOVE 😍. I need to try the Avocado Cream. They have a lot of products in trial sizes. So I recommend people buying those from the alikay naturals website instead of the average sized bottles.
I understood when you mentioned that weird feeling to your hair. I used the melanin shampoo and i was SO disappointed when I got that same feeling the first time I use it. I was upset because I waited so long to try it and it let me down. But I decided to give it another chance and it was so much better after that and it has since been in regular rotation on wash days. I noticed that the redken cream shampoo did the same thing. I now feel that it must have been the deep intense clarifying agents that were working to get all the gunk out our hair. I hope you gave the shampoo another chance. I personally love the shampoo portion of wash day. Its top for me.
The best product to me from them aside from the deep conditioner you used is the dulce hair curl lotion .... omg best product they have ! It’s so underrated! Defines curls and moisturizes like crazy !
Definitely going to try these products. And I love these honest reviews. It's great knowing that even if you're sponsored, we still get the truth. Love the video❤ SB: I know this video isn't sponsored, I'm talking about some of her other reviews.
I love this DC! I would love to see you try some of their styling products: my faves are the Aloe Berry Styling Gel & Lemongrass Twisting Butter. Oh and that Lemongrass Leave-in is one of my faves! 😍
I will try the gel. Their moisturizers are a bit weird to me. Seem more like butters. Something you’d seal your hair with rather than moisturize. Ik my hair wouldnt like them. Too oily
I have their leave in but havent touched it. Im not huge on spray leave ins. Their stylers all feel like butters (something to seal with not moisturize and style)
I didn't care for the shampoo either. It didn't make my hair feel rubbery but I didn't get a good lather and felt like I use alot of the product for one wash.
I haven't tried anything from this brand but I have been wanting to and after seeing this I definitely want to try the deep conditioner b/c I make sure to deep condition weekly.
I didn't like the Avocado Mask by this brand. The fragrance was too strong sitting on my head, I wanted to get it off soo fast. You should try the Alaffia hair products, they work SO well but you kinda have to be consistent with them since they are all natural ingredients.
I swear by Alikay naturals! The products are so good! The honey and sage DC is amazing and smells great!
Me too! I am CRAY CRAY FOR ALIKAY! I have been a die-hard user since 2013 and don't plan on changing. 😊😊😊😊
Love they honey & sage deep conditioner. Soo moisturizing
Yes 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Did you shake the shampoo up before you used it?
Right you always have to shake it up

Deep conditioner looks like peanut butter 😂
sibria have u used it yet?
The Honey and Sage deep conditioner is the bomb.com. It's so moisturizing and it smells heavenly.
I just got into Alikaynaturals too. I absolutely love the honey and sage deep conditioner, a staple for me. My next try in the line will be the lemongrass leave in
Yes. I loved the deep conditioner. I still havent used that leave in but everyone swears by it s maybe ill finally use it.
I’m so glad you posted this! I have been looking for someone to review this line with my same hair type ❤️

They have a pink gel that smells phenomenal 😍👌
Dykejiah Jones yes! The Aloe Berry Styling Gel! So good! ❤️
Yay! Alikay is one of my favorite brands!!
I heard the owner of this company on a podcast a few days ago (Side Hustle Pro 🙌🏿) and I've been wanting to try these products ever since!
Alikays natural lemongrass Leave in is bomb. I think you would enjoy that.
The best product to me from them aside from the deep conditioner you used is the dulce hair curl lotion .... omg best product they have ! It’s so underrated! Defines curls and moisturizes like crazy !
Do you use regular conditioner if you’re also planning on using a deep conditioner?
Definitely going to try these products. And I love these honest reviews. It's great knowing that even if you're sponsored, we still get the truth. Love the video❤

Were you washing out the style factor gel? You did say that made your hair feel rubbery.
No. This was filmed weeks before ❤️
@@HazelGoddesss ohhh ok. Gotcha! My fav products are the leave in and creme brulee!!
I have been afraid to use their stylers. They all seem really oily which i know my hair wont agree with
I love their Honey and Sage deep conditioner.
Have you done a review on curl mix?
I had my eye on that deep conditioner. Thanks for reviewing it. May check it out. ❤❤
That deep conditioner melted right into your hair. 💜 I haven't tried alikay naturals yet.
Yes! I loved it 😎😎😎
I want to try that deep conditioner. Thanks for sharing. I love the lemongrass leave in. It smells so good and it's moisturizing.
Did u wash ur hair after using the style factor gel which u said it gave u a rubbery feeling? Maybe it was getting that out
No, this video was filmed weeks ago. I just forgot to edit it

I like the shea yogurt moisturizer shea honey and sage shampoo
That Shea Yogurt moisturizer is so good!!!! I'm so consistent with that.
I just ordered another line from them
The lemongrass leave in spray is really good. You should do a review on it.
I wish their deep conditioner came in a bigger jar😩 because the way my curls popped afterwards and the smell‼️
Shanel Miller they make 5 sizes.
Yes they do but not in most stores
they have it in the 16 oz on their website
You gotta try the lemongrass leave in with the Cyrene brûlée curling delight periodt
*I wanna try the deep conditioner*
Both of those r some of my absolute favorites😍
😱 Nice, i like.
It gets the job done.
Thanks ❤️
Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me want to dye my hair ugh just gorgeous 😍
Thank you. I’m still trying to decide what I want to do with my color 😩
I had brought their leave-in but returned it because the yellow dye got on my clothes and stained it.
I have their leave in but havent touched it. Im not huge on spray leave ins. Their stylers all feel like butters (something to seal with not moisturize and style)
Hazel Goddesss i didn’t think the leave-in was very moisturizing either.
With the shampoo i had to put it in a spray bottle to get a good lather and the dc is bomb
I didn't care for the shampoo either. It didn't make my hair feel rubbery but I didn't get a good lather and felt like I use alot of the product for one wash.
I hated the lather 😢

Never tried this line before but I want to try the deep conditioner now because if your results!
Thanks for sharing, your hair is always on point. I need to try that black soap shampoo!😁
Thank you! It didn’t work for me but I know a lot of people love it
@@HazelGoddesssOur hair acts differently when it comes to different products, so sorry it didn't work.
Notification Squad!💃🏾🙋🏾♀️❤ I didn't get their products at the Hair show.😔 Love their leave in conditioner. Love the Content!
Aw! I wonder if they had sales. I have the leave in, I’ll try it soon.
What camera do you use ?
I haven't tried anything from this brand but I have been wanting to and after seeing this I definitely want to try the deep conditioner b/c I make sure to deep condition weekly.
Yay. I definitely recommend it!
@@HazelGoddesss Awesome!!! Thanks a lot! Have a great weekend.
My hair felt the same way when I tried that shampoo. Rubbery. I thought I was the only one because everyone always raves about it.
I didn't like the Avocado Mask by this brand. The fragrance was too strong sitting on my head, I wanted to get it off soo fast. You should try the Alaffia hair products, they work SO well but you kinda have to be consistent with them since they are all natural ingredients.
Great video
I want to try that Deep conditioner I have that on my list😩
😍😘

I'm sad that I didn't really love their lemongrass leave in, it stains and the color gets EVERYWHERE
Someone else said that too. I have it but im not huge on spray leave ins so i didnt use it yet
You can give it to me. I'll happily take it off your hands.
It made my hair dry like. Didn’t like it
I didn’t like that shampoo either. I like the oil.
This shampoo is watery.it needs to be applied directly to the scalp not poured in the hands
The smell of the deep conditioner made me sick 🤷♀️
Sometimes hair doesn't lather because it is super dirty
My hair wasn’t very dirty. I had honestly just did it 😭 idk what it could be
CVS.
am I the only one who does not like to see naturals with dyed hair??
Yup lol
😱 Nice, i like.
It gets the job done.
