Aristotle said this more than 2,000 years ago. And it still holds true today. What is the true purpose of life, if not to live a happy life?
Without being able to travel this year, we've been reminiscing about one of our favourite places that we've visited during our film making adventures - Saint Helena, a remote island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The incredibly special 'Saints' are some of the happiest folk we've ever met!

My parents were married for 62 years and they both died last year six months apart. I miss them.💔 But at least they are still together somewhere💕
My husband and I will be celebrating 47 years this December...this makes me happy to see these two...adorable you need to laugh and as my aunt always told me...never go to be angry...always say I love you...it really makes a difference in the life 😊

I think we forgot how to laugh...take a couple of minutes a day and laugh or just smile. Forget about all the problems in this world, they are always going to be there but you won't. So take a couple of minutes and enjoy yourself just the way you are. Smiles from Texas. :)

Problems are the part of life. With this acceptance, we should focus on smile and laughter. Only a happy person can spread happiness among the people who are near to him.
We’ve all become so proficient at fretting. Laughing doesn’t come so easily these days.

How are you doing today Piera B? It’s really nice having you on here. I saw your profile on here and i think we definitely are on the same page on many levels. Trust, communication, loving, honoring, God fearing, understanding, patience and respecting your partner. So crucial to provide balance. This is what creates such great chemistry between two people that are committed to one another.
Yes, I remember my father teaching me The Golden Rule when I was a child, over 40 years ago. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” And my grandmother who lived to 94 would say if one ever started to complain - “It’s tough all round kid.” People who lived through wars and the Great Depression just got on with things. You do need to find the right partner though because life can be very lonely and depressing if you marry the wrong person. Find out who you are first, then you will find the right person for you.

My husband used to get mad when I laughed. He just didn't understand me. Now, after many years together, he laughs with me. If you and your partner naturally have, or are willing to create over time a similar sense of humor, that creates strength in a relationship.

My hubby & I have been married 49 years and laughter is key! We've been friends since we were 11 years old too. His parents constantly laughed and his mom is 100 years old and still laughing. She misses her husband but has lived and laughed through so so much. She's been my roll model. They are amazing people. Thank you for this wonderful video with such genuine pure people. Let's spread the laughter and enjoy life!!

I visited Saint Helena while heading back to the UK from the Falkland Islands on the Gold Rover, and met Jonathan at the goveners mansion, it's a great place with great people, the whole crew loved the place

I was telling my mother today about one movie. The movie was about death and a meaning of live with Anthony Hopkins and I couldn't remember the name of a famous actor which played death, so I described him to her as "beautiful, blond with blue eyes" and so on and she said "oh, I know him, his name is Pitbull", so we laughed so much, it was very funny. My mother is a little bit demential and I allways forget everything in her presence, but it turns out so emusing. It was Brad Pitt, of course, not Pitbull 😂

The golden rule. “Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.” (Matthew 7:12). I have always lived my life accordingly to this saying. How lovely it would be if everyone lived like this as well.

In this era of "accelerated change, overwhelming complexity and tremendous competition" it is so important to live in the present, be happy and love freely. As Alan Watts said "The past is a memory, the future is a dream, there is only the present which is the now. There is nothing except the eternal now". Love these videos. A calming effect on the modern complexities and anxieties of life.

Getting all emotional as we read this message. Never would have imagined, when we started this little project four years ago, that it was so desperately needed and would make such an impact. Thank you Louise Ann, for seeing the value and for allowing each and every story to touch your heart. Michael and I are both quite camera shy - definitely more comfy behind the lens than in front. But we will work on putting something together that shares a bit more about our story, and we'll hope to share it in the months ahead.

Your videos of saint helena make me want to visit it even more someday and I've already been obsessing over remote islands a few months back. It must have been such an experience being there for you guys! Simple country/island living always attracts me. Meanwhile, I gotta make the best out of my fastpaced city life.
