    We are taught to touch the wings the entire time because letting go can cause the needle to shift and be uncomfortable

    Lab Corp technician refused to USE butterfly venous puncture and did several punctures on my cubital vein area causing permanent nerve damage, I HAVE ATROPHY OF MY PALMAR PROMINENCE WITH BURING PAIN,

    You did not show the transfer system from the hypodermic needle/butterfly needle at medial vein (into tubes). I was hoping to see how the transfer system works. Thank you for the informative content.

    Whenever I get my blood drawn, I always ask the phlebotomist to do it from a hand vein. I did that twice in 2014, and it wasn't as painful as the inner elbow.

    What do you suggest for people afraid of needles?

    You should always wear gloves-- I do not touch patient skin with my bare hands-- then when you get your supplies you never touch the gray part of the blood tubing to keep sterile because that is a needle in that gray part.

      How do I stop fainting? Do I have to drink 10 cups of coffies to keep blood pressure high enough?
