What does everyone think of the new Advanced Suit in Marvel's Spider-Man 2?!
I really hope the game releases in late September
Such a cool mod, you know I’m preordering this game ASAP. Weird thing though, I believe the squinting eyes are a mistake. The eyes in the trailer don’t look that way, I’m pretty sure.

I mean the mod is pretty close to the cinematic suit and besides we don't know what the suit looks like in gameplay because the recent trailer only shows the symbiote suit more and not the advanced suit.
I love the new suit. The colours are amazing, the slight change to the logos is great. But the one problem I have with this suit is that the legs just look a little bit bland. I wish it still had the thigh pads. Other than that, it’s a massive upgrade over the og.
Edit: Feel free to express opinions, but keep in mind that what I think is just my own opinion (and clearly an unpopular one), so take the comment with a grain of salt.

I prefer this new version in everything, way better coloring and the design is also cooler, I didn't like the thigh pads so this one is better to me.

I miss the thigh pads so much. I loved how they were there to protect against building scraping (according to the woman who designed the suit , Jacinda Chew). And with the new suit I really don’t like how the white carbon fiber is just placed randomly. It looks off. Everything on the first suit looked great while also serving a purpose. And honestly I prefer the colors on the original advanced suit (the remastered version). Red with a slight orange hue (once again the REMASTERED version). The new color scheme is just way too reminiscent of the Spider-Man UK suit.
It's coming out in a few months just wait for it
This may be may be my best summer vacation due to all of the Spider-Man 2 hype and im all for it!
I still can't get over how much more clean this "2.0" suit looks! The highly-saturated colors look a thousand times better, and the new belt looks clean as Hell!
I know this is how the suit might look like in SM2 or similar but imo the blue needs to be a darker blue color and the suits missing some small details ofcourse.

Insomniac needs to start releasing games during the summer. Cause that’s where ur money’s gonna start building up
The suit is fine but I just massively prefer the first advanced suit. I loved how even though it looked great design wise each piece of the suit still had a practical purpose. Like the thigh pieces. Jacinda Chew (the art director of the game) said that they were there to protect against building scraping. And this is just one example. There’s an entire interview with her talking about every part of the suit. Now there’s just random white pieces all over the suit instead of them being used to reinforce the wrists, chest, back, and feet. And unlike many others I really love the colors on the original advanced suit (in the remaster specifically). I doubt it but I seriously hope that the first advanced suit is an alternate suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
the white bits on the feet are for kicking, the white knuckles are for punching, the white forearm bits are for parrying (probably why miles' suit has some new things too) (cause they're reinforced with carbon fiber or smth) and the things on the belt are just design wise, they make it look quite a bit better, they kept the segmentation on the shoulders because of shoulder mobility, those segmentations on the old one made less sense cause he wouldn't need any on his upper arm.
he wouldn't need much scraping protection on his thigh cause he doesn't actually scrape up against walls, but it could be a slight advantage when fighting powerful enemies that can knock him up against walls.
@@user-zl3fp4bq2z most of what you mentioned is all on the first advanced suit as well. And does he scrape against walls in gameplay? No. Does it happen in-universe sometimes even with his experience? Yes. I’m going off of Jacinda Chew’s analysis of her suit design. And like you said it would help in combat as well. I just don’t like what they’re doing with the new suit in comparison to the first one. It’s not bad but it’s a downgrade in my opinion. Especially those thin white pieces on his waistline. They’re so small and add next to nothing to the overall design.

BUT one thing... the colours weren't great. the new one does have a bit of a magenta red on it and an aquamarine blue which is a bit too bright for the game, but the old one had no real reason to not have the in-game classic suit colours (cause they didn't like make it dark or something for stealth reasons).

I think this suit is the best one I've seen so far. I believe Spider-Man 2 with a parry system will be a big step up from the last 2 games. It can be the purpose for the iron arms since Miles has his venom to parry basically. The hype will just keep rising though!

7:30 I hope these car chases are gonna be more interactive and challenging than this in the next game. Also, there should be more heroic side missions like saving civilians from burning buildings, saving a trapped civilian that's about to fall from a building recovering a stolen helicopter. That's one thing I liked about Tasm2 game. Also, the wall climbing. That's one of my biggest issues with the first game. The wall climbing from Tasm2 was way better

Insomniac took the risk with using white on a regular Red and Blue Spidey suit and it worked perfectly. Best dev team and best decision ever

The ONLY thing I miss from the first suit is the bigger eyes. They should have kept the eyes the same, little too small now but I mean thats super nitpicky.

@KPG it was but it was only on outside of his wrists and knuckles. On the new suit it’s on the back of his hands and they filled in the inside part of the wrist sections

I'm going to be completely honest, I'm not sure I'm as into the suit's overall design. Don't get me wrong, I do like insomniac's suit designs, but the mk2 suit feels TOO saturated, and I miss the little extra details on the legs from the mk1 advance suit
I wish the colors were more muted but everything else is an improvement
