- Today we're going to talk about Blue Eye Samurai and specifically some of my predictions for season 2.
So this show like pretty much stopped everyone in their tracks. It was like if you went to the beach to chill and all and while you're there collecting pebbles, you finally strike Gold!
For those who might be confused, Netflix is the beach, this show is the gold.
That was pretty much what this show was, I mean the show had a rotten tomatoes score of almost a 100% and it was highly, highly praised by critics.
And me apparently.
While Netflix does have great shows, their animated series leave a lot a lot to be desired. The likes of Castlevania and Samurai rabbit were okay, but really didn't meet that golden standard.
This show, however, takes everything good in a story, and makes it even better. And I am so so so so glad, Netflix decided to trust their gut and make this an animated series. Cause that choice might have just been what made this show as outstanding as it is.
The animation was so visually pleasing, the attention to detail with the setting, the beautiful art style. Like at some point, I was actually impressed at how much detail was put into just the snow falling. That is wild.
And even better than all that are the characters and the story itself, which wasn't some faux diversity campaign, but was actually a compelling, and gut wrenching body of work. There was blatant gore, more than two instances of sex and heavy racial themes. So obviously, this show isn't for kids. And that's one of the reasons it worked so well I guess, it definitely knew what it was and what it wasn't.
Anyway, the first season has ended and Netflix has deemed it fit to renew this masterpiece for a second season. Uh duh.
And I as a humble story lover have seen it fit to let y'all know what I think is going to go down in season 2 and what awaits Mizu in her deliciously vengeful hate escapade. Y'all can't see, but I promise I am having literal goosebumps, like I am that excited.

My predictions:
1) the story at the beginning(like the whole first episode) will take place in the ship maybe taigen is with her too ...because it is a lot hard travelling back then and we see a storm kind of thing at the end.
2) the rest of the story takes place in England and we get a parallel story of akemi in japan, the akemi story would probably stop in the middle with a cliff hanger and when mizu finally achieves her goal and return to japan to see akemi being the ruler or something like that .
3) the violet killing part would be used as a flash back bit in fights like in the ronin and the bride episode
4) finally after mizu killing all the 4 men and barely surviving...she returns and finally realises in a big plot twist that it is actually her mother that is white ... And she has blue eyes...maybe she was trafficked as a foreign women to japanese lords ...mizu learns about this when killing the final person ...and she return to japan in boat trying to find the lord ...maybe its the shogun or something
This is actually brilliant! Especially the last point, I wonder what she would do then, if that were the case. Would be really interesting to see.
ESPECIALLY if it were the Shogun, would she then take revenge on his sons? Since he's dead?
So many unknowns, I like it 😂
@@kingjoshua4586 oh my god...I just found a huge detail to support my claims...in the episode peculiarities...when mizu was waiting for madame kaiji, a white woman with blue eyes comes near ringo and mizu ... Mizu gives a weird look to her, maybe they are foreshadowing the trafficking of white women to japan
Personally I think after akemi rejects taigen he goes on the ship with mizu so I think they’re both on that ship with Fowler, I also think it’s possible we get a big flashback to when she first killed Violet the first white person in Japan
Wow, never really thought about the possibility of Taigen being with her. That's really likely going to happen.

Predictions for Season 2
- I feel like story will mostly take place in London. Maybe, the writers will save last episode or two to focus in Japan.
- Alot of culture shock for Mizu
- She masters the gun and kicks ass.
- Fowler will betray Mizu. (Of she kills him in most satisfying way.)
- We finally know what really happens to Mizu's mother.
‼️Warning Unpopular Opininon ‼️
Unlike Beatrix Kiddo and John Wick, Mizu has potential to be hero. I don't believe Mizu will die in Season 2 nor 3. But mostly will severely injured for sure.Strongly believe base on her heroic actions in Ep.5 and Ep 6. Also, Swordfather said in Ep. 7 I'm paraphrasing what he said to Mizu "There might be demon in you but there's more inside, if you're willing to accept your true self." All in all time will tell🤷🏽♀️.
