Note: As of June 18th, 2024 I am now an Amazon Associate, thanks to all my wonderful subscribers! All this means is that IF you click on a link to a product I purchased on Amazon, and IF you place an order through that link during the next 24 hours, then I get a very small percentage of your purchase in my Amazon account that I can use to purchase stuff for my channel, my home, and my fur babies. Please, do NOT feel obligated to click on ANY of the links, I am just putting them on here as I have had some people ask where I purchase certain items. This will help you/them find them, and it does NOT change the price you would pay for something, it only allows me a small income I can use to purchase more items to create even more content. We can never have too much card making stuff, can we?! - Навчання та стиль
I love this card! I actually have that embossing folder and I have never used it. Unfortunately, I don't have a die cutting machine wide enough to emboss like you did, but I may try doing that layer in 2 pieces. A wider machine is definitely on my wish list.
I haven’t used this folder in years, not sure why it called to me today but am glad it did. I still have my trusty Cuttlebug but upgraded to an electric machine this year once my arthritis decided it couldn’t handle hand cranking anymore.
A 2 piece layer is an excellent idea. My machine accidentally “sanded” the top of the embossed area for me…if yours doesn’t and you want that look, try a small piece of sandpaper.
My sister sent glitter in a card for a surprise,,it went everywhere and she was not thrilled😮
Oh wow…that would not be fun!
I think the gilding sticks better that the glitter so the recipient doesn’t have a surprise when receiving the card.
@@donnasymoniak5280 the gilding flakes do stick a lot better than glitter - if you don’t rub them down with something to make sure all the loose particles are removed, they can flake off. But once adhered and burnished, you’d really have to scratch them to get them off.
She was fuming and the sister that sent it was sorry...we had just started making cards..long time ago!
@@user-ts4tj3su2q What fun we can have looking back on things we did…bet it is a funny story now!
